HWPL Peace Education

“Before the discussion, students hit each other. They never used to love one another or care what other children are going through. But after the discussion on empathy, they could see the necessity of why we should have empathy. I actually felt the concept of empathy was sinking into these children.”

Having dedicated 17 years to teaching, Mr. Mathias Kevin Osimbo, the In-country Representative of Teachers Without Borders in Kenya, offers unique insights into peace education as one of the many educators who have implemented HWPL’s peace education in their classrooms.

The results were beyond surprising:

“I picked students from the group, peace club, in my school. When the members came, we picked one of the values, ‘empathy’. As the students discuss about this, they came up with their own ideas and definition of what empathy is. Some of them were too emotional and they were shedding tears as they were sharing their life experiences.

Let me tell you there was a change afterwards. Before the discussion, students hit each other. They never used to love one another or care what other children are going through. But after the discussion on empathy, they could see the necessity of why we should have empathy. I actually felt the concept of empathy was sinking into these children.”

The Chairman of HWPL, Man hee Lee, said
“If there is an answer to peace, then any family of the global village born in this era should become a messenger of peace…ending war and making sustainable peace a legacy for future generations.”

When does peace begin?

“Enlightening to Cultivate Talented Individuals
with the Values and Spirit of Peace”

A STEP TOWARDS PEACE HWPL Peace Education can achieve Dictionary without ‘War’! Teachers Without Borders messengers of peace Man Hee Lee internalization of peace values HWPL Peace education HWPL empathy DPCW Chairman of HWPL     Peace is so natural, and it’s the best value human beings should have. How can we achieve peace? Peace begins by teaching students peace. Teaching peace from a young age in all textbook, not war heroes and stories, is a source of great change as fundamental solution. If the word war is removed from the dictionary by peace education, culture of peace will prevail in the global community and war will no longer occur. Peace education is one of HWPL’s core initiatives and values education to pass peace on to posterity. HWPL Peace education focuses on developing peace education courses, teacher training, and opening peace classes to enlighten students and foster citizens of peace value and spirit. In order to end the war and leave eternal peace as a legacy for future generations, we need to teach the values needed for a new era of peace rather than the old war-stained ideology.

“Countless people have worked for peace on this planet but how much peace do we have today? There will be no greater thing we could leave as a legacy to our future generations than to end war on this planet and create peace.” – The Chairman of HWPL, Man hee Lee

HWPL Peace Academy

Academy MOU with 149 educational institutions in 10 countries

A STEP TOWARDS PEACE HWPL Peace Education can achieve Dictionary without ‘War’! Teachers Without Borders messengers of peace Man Hee Lee internalization of peace values HWPL Peace education HWPL empathy DPCW Chairman of HWPL This education provides a fundamental understanding of the basic principles that human beings must observe for peace to be created. Through the discovery and internalization of these peace values the inner selves of students and their ability to live together in harmony with others in their own community, and even the world, is properly nurtured. In order to successfully cultivate children and young people as messengers of peace, HWPL Peace Education first works to erase previously held ideas and values that are corrupt by directly showing how the world has become evil in the present era, and then plant the peaceful values needed for the new era of peace in their stead. It also introduces a new methodology in which the values of peace can be applied in all environments and real-life situations happening outside the classroom.

Currently, 149 educational institutions in 10 countries including the Israel, the Philippines, the U.S. and the Kosovo have been signed up to operate the HWPL Peace Academy in from elementary schools to universities.

The culture of peace is the best homework that we all have to do together and the greatest legacy that we can pass on to future generations. HWPL Peace education will create a peace culture. 🙂

They have been working hard towards fulfilling the goal of the conflict-free continent envisaged by the African Union’s Agenda 2063 and Silencing the Guns 2020. Also, they supported the DPCW (Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War) as the ultimate solution of conflict.

The “Addis Ababa Summit” was held with political representatives from Africa and the Middle East and the “Open Dialogue with Religious Leaders” was held on on August 16. One expert said, “Addis Ababa city administration has a deep conviction that the launching of peace education in the Universities could help ” As a result, eleven university presidents signed an MOU to agree on peace education at their universities. Another expert said, “DPCW draws upon the principles of peace expressed through the ages, through which the people of the world expressed their desire for global peace and called upon world leaders”

The Chairman Man hee Lee said, “One era is fading and a new one is beginning. Will this be achieved by sitting around? No. In Korea, we hosted a World Alliance of Religious Peace (WARP) summit to discuss the DPCW. We want to proposed it to the UN.” Existing laws cannot achieve peace. “To achieve peace, we must complete peace with the spirit of that moment when the United Nations begins.”

The wind of peace is very strong worldwidely

As you can see from my postings so far, the whole world is cheering for messengers of peace. As if to prove it, more than 300 media outlets in 35 countries are promoting it just a short time after the African Leaders of Peace Summit 2018. At this time when the DPCW is gaining national support, the wind of peace is very strong all over the world. HWPL is considered by experts to be the most substantive and powerful peace organization ever. I feel also that HWPL could really be able to achieve peace. And this thinking is becoming increasingly convincing. I would like to introduce the core of the HWPL‘s peace movement.

At the UN, two-thirds of presidents must vote in favour of this law. This is why I travel from place to place to urge presidents to accept the law.

The Cape Town is called the affectionate ‘Mother City’. They have ‘Ubuntu‘ in their hearts.

The Former President Nelson Mandela explained Ubuntu as follows:

“A traveler through a country would stop at a village and he didn’t have to ask for food or for water. Once he stops, the people give him food and attend him. That is one aspect of Ubuntu, but it will have various aspects. Ubuntu does not mean that people should not enrich themselves. The question therefore is: Are you going to do so in order to enable the community around you to be able to improve?”

It is often translated as “I am because we are,” and also “humanity towards others”, but is often used in a more philosophical sense to mean “the belief in a universal bond of sharing that connects all humanity”. Since the transition to democracy in South Africa with the Nelson Mandela presidency in 1994, the term has become more widely known outside of Southern Africa.

António Guterres said, “Nelson Mandela was a towering global advocate for justice and equality. He continues to inspire the world through his example of courage and compassion. Nelson Mandela was held captive for many years. But he never became a prisoner of his past. Instead, he poured his energy into reconciliation and his vision of a peaceful, multi-ethnic, democratic South Africa.

On this day marking the centennial of his birth, we commemorate Nelson Mandela’s lifetime of service. Rarely has one person in history done so much to stir people’s dreams and move them to action. That struggle for equality, dignity and justice continues. Madiba’s legacy shows the way.”

Cape Town : Peace my city campaign

The DPCW provides direction so we can do it. Article 10 ‘Spreading the culture of peace’ of DPCW is already being done. The International Peace Youth Group (IPYG) is providing a new direction to turn Cape Town into a city of peace. The Gugulethu NY116 Sports Field was taken over by gangs and many people have been afraid of gang violence. But through the efforts of many people, the field was revamped with a peace mural then cleaned up again. In the city where the campaign is being held, the crime rate has dropped. Starting with this, it’s spreading across parts of South Africa.

With 851 organizations from 111 countries around the world, peace is being realized, especially in Africa with 238 groups from 28 countries. You already know, Africa has had a lot of difficulties in history. But now, with such heroic presidents as Nelson Mandela and also abundant resources and the number of young people who make up more than 60 percent of the population, the Africa shows a lot of possibilities to the world. And based on that possibility, Africa is becoming so powerful that the world can’t ignore more and more. But there are still gaps in the way to develop like that. I want to ask you a question to explain it.

Have you ever heard of the expression ‘lawless zone‘? The dictionary said simply an area without laws. But when applied in our real lives and in movies and in other media, the lawless zone is not just an area without law, but a life-threatening environment where violence, conflict and suffering are a lot and basic human right is not protected. From that, we can see how much pain can be caused by lawlessness and you can see how important the law is. The development of Africa is already on the way, but in order to leap further, the law of peace must be established in this society. The law of peace must be needed to realize such long-term plans as the Agenda 2063. Therefore the law of peace is the most important and fundamental. So, what is the law of peace?

HWPL is proposing the Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War(DPCW) as a resolution for establishing a legally binding law for peace that can fundamentally prevent war and conflict

Why is the DPCW answer to peace?

A STEP TOWARDS PEACE African Leaders of Peace Summit : Urge DPCW #3 WeAreOne Urge DPCW Ubuntu South Africa ReligiousFreedom Pray4Peace PeaceLetter Peaceleader Peacelaw Peace my city campaign Nelson Mandela International Day Manheelee IWPG IPYG HWPL DPCW_Africa DPCW Advocacy Session DPCW Cape Town BeTheLegacy António Guterres Agenda 2063 Africa_Peace African Leaders of Peace Summit ActionAgainstPoverty 29thWorldPeaceTour I’m sure you all know. This is 10 Articles and 38 Clauses of the DPCW that the chairman Man hee Lee created. Let me briefly explain why 10 Articles and 38 Clauses of DPCW is the law of peace and why it is the answer to peace. The DPCW consists of 10 articles. Articles 1 to 5 is talking about preventing conflict. In order to prevent conflict, they made each other friendly and unwilling to fight. And we’re making laws to make sure that there’s no weapons or troops needed for war. It also has a clause that maintains borders so that countries do not invade other countries.

Articles 6 to 7 have a complete system of resolution in case of conflict. There is a strong law that can resolve the dispute through the International Court of Justice and the UN Security Council following the order of the international community.

Articles 8 to 9 can solve religious conflicts, which are the largest percentage of all disputes. It also includes solving ethnic conflicts. Article 10 ‘Spreading the culture of peace’ emphasizes the ‘Peace education’ to leave this settled dispute as an eternal legacy for future generations.

In conclusion, the DPCW is the ultimate solution of peace that can prevent conflicts, if it happens, resolve it and leave this world peace as a eternal legacy for future generations.

What can we do for us?

We’re working to bring the DPCW to the United Nations. And it needs the support of presidents in each country to be passed. So you can ask “What can I do?.” I’m going to give you a strong statement. Each country is made up of citizens and the president must listen to them. I really want to ask you. If you acknowledge that this is indeed the answer to peace, please be sure to support and urge your President to pass the DPCW to the United Nations. Then, this DPCW could be established as a real international law, which is the answer to peace. Therefore, this Africa will be remembered around the world as the leading continent to support the law of peace for the first time. Then, Africa with the sound foundation for peace, and South Africa, as well, will be the most advanced country in the world.

All Africans support the DPCW

But also HWPL came to Africa and achieved a lot. When the chairman Man hee Lee visited the Pan African Parliament (PAP), the representative of PAP signed the MOU with HWPL. And He also supported the DPCW on behalf of the pan-African Parliament (PAP). This means that every country in Africa will support the DPCW. Also, two countries send documents that they would support the DPCW on a national level. I don’t know how much you recognize it, but it’s a huge result!!! And what I’d like to focus on the most is that the Chairman Man hee Lee declared, in 2013, we created an international law and the presidents should sign here. And then, the war will be eliminated all over the world. That’s how it really works. So it is another evidence that not only DPCW but also the reality, where what the chairman lee said comes true, are the answer to peace.

Please write letters to presidents, promote it online & media and support the DPCW! And I hope that you will encourage not only your country, but also the presidents of Africa and the rest of the world through the Internet and the media. The Chairman Man hee Lee is right here now. Our representative of HWPL is the messenger of peace who is making the actual result of peace. In 2014, he risked his life to go the area where many people died for 40 years in the bloody conflict in Mindanao. So he met with representatives of the two religions to resolve the religious conflict that was at the cor of this civil war, and he drew a peace treaty. The Chairman Man hee Lee also created this DPCW, the answer to the war, with 21 international law experts, and now he is actually working on international legislation, urging the world and the United Nations. In a moment, our representative will come up here and introduce you to the answers of this peace. Please open your ears and remember his words in your mind and be sure to encourage your leaders.

And here we have a lot of young people coming. I really want to say something to young people. I will speak English so that these young people can hear it in person.
“Someone asked me. A young South African man said, I want to convey my opinion to the President of South Africa. But I don’t think the president will listen to me. So I answered. And I’m going to tell you this because it applies to us. One person and One voice is weak. But if we come together, we’re stronger than anyone. Please remember. You’re not alone. We’re one.”
I’ll shout before finishing. We Are One!!! Thank you very much.

What do we need for the development of Africa? What should we do now?  This is what participants, the Speaker of the National Assembly, the Chief Justice, and other high-level people, had in mind. I am grateful that people like them are leaders who are thinking ‘How can we do more for Africa?.’ I think the people of Africa will be very happy, if they know these efforts as the session of today. There are many bad leaders in the world, who drive the people to the death. Particularly, the Youth.

The following is their conclusion : Development in Africa cannot be done in war and conflict. War and conflict are a huge blow to us all. We must make peace for Africa’s development.

The DPCW is based on the U.N. Charter

A STEP TOWARDS PEACE African Leaders of Peace Summit : Speakers of National Assembly #2 WeAreOne United Nations UN Security Council U.N. Mali is also in conflict and it is known that Sudan, South Sudan, DRC, Congo are as well. Africa is known as the dark continent. We’ve been trying to make peace through the African Union (AU). DPCW is a document based on the U.N. Charter. And I hope that as a UN Security Council, DPCW will be introduced to the United Nations and also the African Union.”

Another leader said, “I was so happy reading the DPCW that I read it all overnight. I really felt it was necessary in this world. It is too necessary for human society and Africa, which has a lot of conflict. But it’s not just in Africa. Disputes occur in many different forms in each country. It’s like a big mountain. But It’s not impossible. I think the DPCW is a great tool, and it’s going to be a social and economic development for the development of Africa.”

The Problems of Africa

A STEP TOWARDS PEACE African Leaders of Peace Summit : Speakers of National Assembly #2 WeAreOne United Nations UN Security Council U.N. There’s a lot of war and conflict going on in Cameroon, where the scars of the war are a lot. Last week, our Pan-Africa Council was discussing a conflict in Africa. One of the biggest problems is that many countries are good at speaking but in practice, they are opposed to it. What’s really important to us is that we have to believe in peace. Because without peace, Africa would not be able to make any further progress. It seems easy for Africa to achieve peace only when the DPCW becomes a culture and makes world peace.”

What is the DPCW different from others?

A STEP TOWARDS PEACE African Leaders of Peace Summit : Speakers of National Assembly #2 WeAreOne United Nations UN Security Council U.N. It is what the former president thinks is important. There’s been a lot of talk about human rights, but we didn’t think religion much. We didn’t think of a way. But the important thing is that most conflicts, especially in Africa, are caused by religion.”

“This year is the 100th anniversary of Nelson Mandela’s birth. We are celebrating the achievements of former President Nelson Mandela and Mrs. Albertina Sisulu. But conflict and terror are not over yet. The African leaders couldn’t solve it by calculating profits and losses each other through political problems. Through these, we lost our value and ruined our mutual friendship. What can we do for our Africa? By bringing the DPCW to the United Nations, we can achieve peace. And we can progress by promoting justice and peace through Agenda 2063 of African Union. We can use DPCW to achieve peace by 2030. And It will bring peace to the continent of Africa. DPCW requires our efforts. We need to make sure that DPCW would not become just another international law. Unlike other laws, we should not ignore this law. We need to know what’s different from other laws and to let people support the DPCW.”

I am grateful that people like them are leaders. The Chairman Man hee Lee asked, “People who are gathered here, is there any want who want war?.”

No one answered.  The Chairman Lee continued that “War sacrifices many lives and destroys many buildings. If there is anyone who wants war, please raise your hand.” No one raised their hands. The Chairman Man hee Lee shouted, “When there’s war, who is the one who is fighting in front of battle line that is the youth. In order to fundamentally resolve international conflicts and crises, we have developed our work in a more specific and professional direction. The HWPL international law peace committee was founded to discuss ways to achieve peace through international law. It is composed of legal experts of different nationalities. After three formal committee meetings, the DPCW was drafted. On March 14, 2016, 10 articles and 38 clauses of the Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War (DPCW) was declared. Currently, there is a worldwide campaign to introduce the DPCW to the United Nations. The new international peace law, that the world is creating together, will change the history of mankind.

The Chairman Man hee Lee’s clear religious guidelines lead religious people in the right direction today.

The Chairman Man hee Lee said, “If religions are in harmony with each other, there will be no reason to fight. To achieve harmony among religions, people of religion should examine and compare their scriptures to find the truth and become one in that truth. People of religion are responsible for leading people of the world in the right path.”

In the WARP Office, leaders from various religious groups gather to discuss religion and the Bible. It is being held in major cities around the world. The purpose of this comparative study of religious scriptures is to return religion to its original role and become one religion according to the creator’s will. It is the Christian Council of Korea (CCK) that aggravated coercive conversion program that violated human rights such as murder, violence, kidnapping and confinement. Coercive conversion is not a religious issue, but a serious historical crime that destroys the human spirit.

Religious groups and politicians from all over the world hold rally voluntarily to denounce the coercive religious conversion program of the CCK. And U.N. headquarters and Washington condemn it as an act of giving religion a bad name. Korea’s dark truth was covered in about 600 reports in 41 countries.

Actually, 80 percent of the wars that panicked the world in fear are religious wars. Despite international efforts to promote religious freedom, religious discrimination are still on the rise around the world. To solve these problems, a strong international law is needed to eradicate religious discrimination and ensure religious freedom. So Man-hee Lee has appointed 21 law professionals and made international law committee.

They drafted the Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War (DPCW) 10 articles and 38 clauses. Man-hee Lee, the powerful leader, cried out “If we follow this, there’s no way for the war to break out in this world. So this drafted DPCW is presented to UN and it is waiting.”

to Implement it to the Letter.

How long? Until the all presidents  sign for the DPCW! The wind of peace is already blowing all over the world. “World peace and restoration has begun at the same time this declaration is proclaimed.” – chairman Man-hee Lee in the Declaration of World Peace on 2013. If 4,600,000 young people (IPYG) cry out for peace, what do you think will happen next? There will be an enormous wind. The chairman Man hee Lee said, “This is what God wants, and he called himself peace. Therefore this must happen, right? This is a work of God, this is a work of Jesus and this is a work of all the people of the world.” The Africa will be saved!

“So don’t just send letters to the president of your country, but send it to the head of many nations, so that they might sign for the DPCW!” – chairman Man-hee Lee

(http://www.peacestep.com/2018/05/09/resolving-conflicts-between-north-and-south-korea/) Kim Jong Un wrote “a new history begins now” and “an age of peace, at the starting point of history.”

But suddenly clouds are gathering on the horizon. President Donald Trump sent an official letter to North Korean leader Kim Jong Un to cancel the summit. President Trump said he knew the anger and public hostility of North Korea’s recent remarks. Especially, he said “You talk about your nuclear capabilities, but ours are so massive and powerful that I pray to God they will never have to be used.” This was a warning remark. However, the US-North Korea Summit was held!

Do you know the story of the late Gu Ji-in?

Earlier this year, an adult woman in her 20s died on a family trip. There was a hidden secret in the family trip. Its purpose is for coercive religious
conversion program, not real travel. Sadly, the late Ms. Gu was choked by blocking her mouth and nose at 5:40 p.m. on December 30 2017.

South Korea is a country where freedom of religion and thought is guaranteed by the constitution. But it was a sad event in which she was killed by her beloved family during a coercive conversion program, just because she was not a member of the mainstream religious body. Unfortunately, these conversion programs have happened and continue to increase.

In a survey of 900 people from 2003 to March 2015, 52 percent claimed they were imprisoned, 42 percent of the victims were taken to coercive religious conversion program by kidnapping. It was even reported that 10 people were hospitalized in psychiatric hospitals for not being converted. More seriously, their pain didn’t end there. 77.4 percent of the victims felt extreme fear caused by a violent environment. And 65 percent of the victims suffered from mental disorders and stress due to the coercive conversion program process and the environment.

There is widespread condemnation of the human rights abuses of coercive conversion program all over the world. I’ll deal with this at #2.

It also stressed the importance of cooperation from major regional partners, including Australia, in order to achieve substantial results in the upcoming negotiations.

In response, Deputy Maude said, “We expect the Panmunjeom Declaration and the North-Korea USA Summit to be implemented as soon as possible, while supporting the Korean government’s efforts to develop a complete denuclearization and a permanent peace regime.”

North Korean Nuclear Issue can not be the subject of bargaining

A STEP TOWARDS PEACE Discussing the North Korean Nuclear Issue with Australia Verifiable and Irreversible Denuclearization United States Rory Medcalf Richard Maude Reunification Peter Jennings Panmunjeom Declaration Nuclear Issue North-Korea USA Summit North Korean Nuclear North Korean leader Kim Jong Un Nobel Peace Prize Moon Jae-in Lothar de Maizière Kim Jong-Un Julie Bishop Donald Trump Deputy Foreign Minister denuclearization CVID Complete Denuclearization Complete Christopher Pyne CD Bill Clinton Australian think tank Australian Secretary of Defense Australian government Australian Foreign Minister Australia ASPI The Australian government called it extremely disappointing that U.S. President Donald Trump cancelled the talks with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un. The responsibility seems to be closer to North Korea.

The Australian Foreign Minister Julie Bishop said, “Even now North Korea should show the truth and reality of its denuclearization commitments.” and stressed that “Until North Korea takes verifiable, complete and irreversible denuclearization steps, economic and diplomatic pressures from the United States, Australia and the international community will continue to be maximized.”

The Australian Secretary of Defense Christopher Pyne pointed, “Denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula is a top priority for both the United States and Australia, and the denuclearization defined by North Korea is not a measure entirely corresponding to our national interests. This is possible only when the North has sincerity.”

This day, President Donald Trump earlier sent an official letter to North Korean leader Kim Jong Un to cancel the summit. President Trump said he knew the anger and public hostility of North Korea’s recent remarks. Especially, he said “You’re talking about your nuclear capability” but “I pray to God that that (our nuclear capability) will never be used because we are so strong and powerful” This was a warning remark.

After North-Korea USA Summit, Something changed

Some say that North Korea is the winner, the U.S. is the loser&winner, and South Korea is the loser. However it is clear that the Moon Jae-in is the midwife of the North-Korea USA Summit in many ways. Mr. Moon persuaded Chairman Kim to engage himself in dialogue with the U.S. President Moon persuaded Chairman Kim to engage himself in dialogue with the U.S. By turning all the credit to President Trump, Mr. Moon made him an active participant in the North-Korea USA Summit. Bill Clinton, former president of the United States assessed it “Moon Jae-in the president is a true hero”. In the process, President Moon left a famous saying in Korean diplomatic history that “the Nobel Peace Prize is for Trump and we only need to bring peace.”

Australian experts of international politics

Rory Medcalf, the president of the Australian National University said, “we think we need to make every effort to attract North Korea to a legal-based order.” He added, “If someone has to play an additional role in communicating with North Korea (with the U.S. etc.), Australia may be a potential country to do so.”

Peter Jennings, the executive director of the Australian Strategic Policy Institute (ASPI), said in interview “we believe that the possibility of CVID (a complete, verifiable and irreversible denuclearization) of North Korea is low” and claimed “the North Korea does not conduct any missile or nuclear tests, but it still develops nuclear capability.”

At the same time, he added, “we need to build a reliable management mechanism in the DMZ (Demilitarized Zone) by increasing communication and contact with North Korea.”

Reunification is God’s will.

The problem is a credible follow-up measure. Action should be taken to build trust. This agreement could bear fruit if North Korea and the United States continue to engage in direct talks, build trust one by one, and establish liaison offices in Pyongyang and Washington in the near future.

When this happens, we believe that it will be a great blessing for all mankind beyond the Korean Peninsula. Former East Germany Prime Minister Lothar de Maizière, who achieved reunification, said that “Reunification was the will of heaven. It happens like a miracle when human endeavor is met with internal and external conditions.” The unification of the Korean Peninsula will be natural, if people’s aspirations and the meaning of heaven are gathering, just like East and West Germany. If so, it is the duty of leaders of religion and politics to move the minds of the world toward reunification.

AWKWARD IS MY SPECIALTY – Charlie Brown

Topic : How long does it take to get to Venice?

While backpacking, you sit in a double room on a train bound for Venice with a stranger. The only Italian I know is “How long does it take to get to Venice?” Whenever you look up, you keep making eye contact with strangers.

Even I can’t even sleep because my seat is uncomfortable. You are unable to overcome the awkward situation, so you try talking to the other person. ” How long does it take to get to Venice? ”

Choose a number. This is a passenger in a double room on a train.

I choose number two. Topic is ‘An American college student who has already gone to all the places you want to go.’

The first sentence is this. “How long does it take to get to Venice?” Thank God. He looks my age. He said, “Venice? Hmm… 35,000 hours on foot? HAHAHA” I was relieved that I understood. He was a humorous, sociable person. I want to say “Oh, that’s dangerous to my feet. Where are you going?” The moment I opened my mouth, there was something I didn’t think of. The only Italian I know is “How long does it take to get to Venice!!!!” Damn it! After a laugh, I pretended to be cool. But I’m screaming! in my heart.

But he is genius. He introduced himself as an American college student and asked me to speak in English. “Oh, god. Great sense.” He was taking a gap year. He wanted to think about his career and have a special experience. He had already gone to all the places I want to go. For him, everything was an opportunity and everywhere was a road. I envied him a little. Because I am sometimes timid. But I have an advantage too! Right now, I’m writing.

Peace is up to you :0 Good luck!

HWPL Peace Education Workshop

Now, we need to work together for the world of peace in order to bring an end to war and armed conflicts and leave the full legacy of peace to our future generations.HWPL Chairman Man Hee Lee

In May 2018, a group of 11 professors and faculty members of national universities in Indonesia visited the Republic of Korea to learn about HWPL Peace education. Just three months prior to their visit, there are many amazing things. Many universities in Indonesia including Universitas Islam Negeri Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta are signing a Peace Academy MOU with HWPL! The reason why they discuss at this workshop is to integrate HWPL’s Peace Education into their curricula for the coming fall semester.

Key theme

▲ Who is responsible to bring peace?
▲ What’s the key ingredient to make this world one of peace?
▲ All humanity needs to be born again with the culture of peace.

Divided nation working for Reunification

A STEP TOWARDS PEACE HWPL Spreading Love and Peace to Indonesia Universitas Islam Negeri Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta Reunification Peace Academy MOU Peace Love Indonesia HWPL Peace Education Workshop HWPL Peace education HWPL Divided nation     Many people asked about HWPL’s peace movement in the world’s one divided nation, Korea. It is not understood by their common sense. How is this possible? One professor said “It is amazing to see a divided nation doing this work of peace. HWPL’s peace work takes great significance in the run for ending the war on the Korean Peninsula and for its reunification. By taking Mr. Lee’s purpose and his vision for peace and applying it to individuals, the environment, and governments, I am confident that it is possible to achieve peace solely by the hands of the people without any intervention from the government level or the religious leaders.”

The peace values presented by HWPL are necessary for realizing reunification led by the people.

Messengers of Love and Peace

A STEP TOWARDS PEACE HWPL Spreading Love and Peace to Indonesia Universitas Islam Negeri Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta Reunification Peace Academy MOU Peace Love Indonesia HWPL Peace Education Workshop HWPL Peace education HWPL Divided nation Each of the participants is so smart and influential. As a peace educator, they love Indonesia and study ‘ How can I deliver one better? ‘ One professor said “the workshop served as an opportunity to take one step further in thinking about what peace really is. I want to share the value of peace presented by HWPL when I return to Indonesia.” Another professor said “What I recognized from learning about HWPL peace education curriculum is that we need to clearly spread the value of peace.” The other said “When I return home, I hope to become a peace messenger, share the ideas of HWPL Peace Education with others, and contribute to resolving political discourse in Indonesia.”

Peace is necessary because it is directly related to people’s daily lives.
