5th Annual Commemoration of
the Declaration of World Peace
– Resolving Conflicts and Spreading a Culture of Peace through the Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War(DPCW): Realizing Peace on the Korean Peninsula –
In wikipedia, a peace walk or peace march, sometimes referred to as a peace pilgrimage, is a form of nonviolent action where a person or groups of people march a set distance to raise awareness of particular issues important to the walkers. Why do we walk? We can do case studies.
March 1930, Salt March
– Mahatma Gandhi
Thousands set out to town Dandi on the Arabian Sea in order to resist British Salt policies. More than 80,000 people were arrested and beaten but they prompted international outcry against British policy and captured the world’s attention.
“There is no path to peace. peace is the path.” – Mahatma Gandhi
August 1963, March on Washington
– “I Have A Dream”, Martin Luther King Jr.
Millions gathered to draw attention to inequalities faced by African Americans after emancipation. This walk helped to create national understanding of racial injustice,Civil Rights Act of 1964.
July 2014, Europe’s first Peace Walk Route
Started on 28 July in Vienna, Austria and ending 23 days later in Trieste, Italy, the 550km walk was officially created to commemorate the 100th anniversary of World War I.
India Peace Walk to ban violence
Women do not remain silent in talking and walking to prevent violent extremism. So peace walks and educational activities were held in New Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, and Hyderabad, India.
“When the power of love overcomes the love of power, the world will know peace.” – Jimmi Hendrix
South Sudan, for peaceful nation
Kapuki Senior Secondary School located in Juba, the capital city of South Sudan, hosted Peace Walk, in which 5,000 people participated.
Sunge Emmanuel said “We, youths, shall tell the future generations on how we transformed the warring nations into peaceful nations”
Romania, We can be the Change
Romanian citizens gathered to participate in the event in Cluj-Napoca, the second most populous city. Radu Alexandru, President of OSUT, said “I am proud to be a Romanian as from its origin this people had a vision for peace. This may not be written on a stone or anywhere, but if you look in our history you will see it. In our genes peace is written”

If not me, who? If not now, when?
Realizing World Peace! Everything is up to us!
5th Annual Commemoration of the Declaration of World Peace
I participated in this event last year. There were so many young people who were passionate and healthy. There was a young man. I saw him cry. He said that the situation in his country is very grave. His brother was already in the grave. He said it was so unfair and hurtful. “Why should young people die? Is the war really for our country? I don’t know…” This word is most memorable to me. Now I want to ask. Why should we walk?
Next is the full text of which he heard and wept.
Of what use is a young life, born in our day and age, if it is thrown away in this manner – thrown away without having had a chance to bloom?
Full text of Declaration of World Peace
The Heavens and the Earth formed by the hands of the Creator have been given to humanity as an inheritance. In all the universe, life in its vast splendour exists only on our world. The life that grows on the earth is sustained from above – by light, by the rain, and by the air they provide unconditionally to all living beings. We have received the precious gift of life from above, let us give glory to heaven, and live in peace on earth. This is the truest teachingof heaven.
With this eternal gift – the grace and life we have received – are we entitled to fight, kill and destroy one another? We cannot claim to desire peace and continue to provoke one another, causing conflict for the sake of valuing our own national interests above those of others. This will only take the lives of the youth, wasting them in the futility of war. This is not a legacy we can leave to future generations.
Of what use is a young life, born in our day and age, if it is thrown away in this manner – thrown away without having had a chance to bloom? What price can compensate for the loss of a life? Do these young souls have another chance at life? As emissaries of World Peace; as people who are working towards the restoration of humanity through a new and heavenly culture, we declare the following:
We call on all youth to unite in an effort to stop wars and pursue the restoration of peace by agreeing not to fight one another. For World Peace to become a reality, this is the duty of all youth, everywhere.
The only way to stop the fighting and pointless, tragic deaths, is to stop fighting. Nobody can ask for anything greater than this, and know that your efforts– the efforts of the young people of the world today in pursuit of peace – will remain as a never fadinglight of life for all future generations.
Furthermore, we call on every person, every man, woman, and child in the world, to pick up the mantle of peace. In whatever way you can, we ask that you work to further the cause of world peace and restoration, making it a reality in your direct environments.
Lastly, we call on the media to report responsibly and promote a message of peace to the world.
World peace and restoration has begun at the same time this declaration is proclaimed.
Thank you.

How can we achieve?
Is it a naive desire? Nope
If you can’t believe us, you can see works. I didn’t these works but just I am interested in HWPL‘s walk. Its practical and substantive approach for peace is really attractive. Many things happened in 4 years.
In 2013, The Declaration of World Peace was proclaimed.
In 14 March, 2016 New international law was proclaimed by HWPL International Law Peace Committee(more info). It was called DPCW(Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War).
Two steps
HWPL‘s SOLUTIONS are ‘International Law for Peace and Cessation of War‘ and ‘Alliance of Religions‘.

CHICAGO PEACE WALK – Calling For An End To Gun Violence
CHICAGO, Illinois – April 28, 2018
Together at the historic, Buckingham Fountain, hundreds will gather, discuss, and mobilize “Calling for an end to gun violence”. The culture of peace campaigns were found as a means of working together until peace is finally achieved, and they expect more than 300,000members to take part in their direct environments.
The official of HWPL Chicago said “We undoubtedly believe, the efforts of the young people of the world today, in pursuit of peace – will remain forever as a never-fading light of life, for all future generations.”
Countlessyoung people
I think ‘Gun violence‘ is very dangerous. It is not something that only someone who get hurt could feel. So, I know that there are countless young people all over the world doing campaigns like this. Example are ‘HWPL Peace walk‘ and ‘March for Our Lives‘. #MARCHFOROURLIVES
#March for Our Lives
– Fight for your lives, before it’s someone else’s job. Emma Gonzalez
March for Our Lives is a demonstration created and organized by #NeverAgain, a group of students who survived the February 14 shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School. Its purpose is ‘Calling For An End To Gun Violence‘. According to the March for Our Lives website, there are more than 800 events across the United States and in cities overseas, including London, Madrid, Paris, Tokyo and Seoul.
The work of peace can be done everywhere, even online. Whenever you go out to make a difference in your community, whether it’s helping the homeless, singing a peace song, marching in a peace walk, or picking up a piece of trash, let the world know! (This work all started on May 25, 2013 and #525HiFive is a way for us to remember why we’re working so hard– for peace. Show your support for peace by hashtagging #525.) #525HiFive brings us together, for one cause, no matter where we are. Let’s show the world that we are working together to make change happen and how much we’re changing.
The meaning of 525
Hands of the Giver
The first 5 represents the hands of the giver. It is the ‘you’, the one who is responsible for the action of peace.
To
The 2 is for the verb “to” to emphasize the direction. This is something not contained within just one person but is something to be passed on. The peace mindedness and the actions of reconnection should affect others.
Hands of the one affected
The second 5 represents the hands of the one affected. This other person is now more connected, more alive, more included in peace by the result of the action.
Actions of Peace
HIFIVE is used, just like the young-at-heart action of high fiving, to show the simple fun and pure joy that comes from doing actions of peace.
“For World Peace to become a reality, this is the duty of all youth, everywhere.” – IPYG
IPYG : International Peace Youth Group
IPYG, a group of young leaders, devoted their youth to achieving world peace. IPYG youth, with the vision of world peace, like shining stars, becomes the model of the world peace movement. The members ofIPYG are accepted by good examples of world peace movements. They are really passionate. One of the key activities is IPYG world ‘Peace Walk’held 25 May every year around the world.
“Ordinary people’s ordinary peace“
The IPYG, an organization of international youthleaders, is carrying out peace activities to protect the future of the earth asmessengers of peace.
“If there is we cannot do, and we don’t do it. That’s not the way it should be. Let us become one heart. And, the objective will surely be achieved. – representative of IPYG“
One day, Lawyers, education experts, religious leaders, youth and women’s groups, and journalists in Indonesia gathered. For what? Peace building. There were so many attempts to achieve peace. As a matter of fact, It is already a huge one. By this alone, Indonesia is a great country. However, attempts are frustrated. Still, men have fought and killed each other. Now we really need the answer of peace.
The Bar Association of Indonesia
Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light (HWPL), an international NGO affiliated with the UN ECOSOC, held events from January 27 to 30 to raise awareness of peace building in Indonesia. The Bar Association of Indonesia, Himpunan Advokat Pengacara Indonesia (HAPI), discussed the ways to develop the Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War (DPCW) drafted by HWPL to establish an international law for peace as a legally binding document at both national and international levels.
On this, Head of the HAPI, Mrs. Dr. Hj. Elza Syarief said, “The DPCW contains provisions that essentially stop the war-like activities. So the enactment of the DPCW is a definite answer to the end of the war and achievement of peace.”
Legislate Peace Campaign in Indonesia
In order to seek applicability of the DPCW in Indonesia, HWPL has been promoting the ‘Legislate Peace Campaign’. So 3,000 youth and women gathered at Bundaran HI in Jakarta to call for the implementation of the DPCW through the public participation in peace building.

“There will be no more chaos or war when everyone is willing to share the message of peace throughout the world. We can take this initiative by educating our children early on the importance of tolerance and harmonious life.” – Mr. Mulyadi Liang, Head of Education of MATAKIN
War begets more war. The Korean War began on June 25, 1950. Many people went through a lot of hardships. They had frequent brushes with death. The iron of war had entered into their souls. The Korean War ended in 1953 with a cease-fire. The Korean War left Korea devastated. Also it divided our country into two halves. The war has branded unforgettable scars on our minds.
2018 inter-Korean summit Highlights
“With a single step Kim Jong Un broke decades of hostility and distrust. He is the first North Korean leader to cross the dividing line between the two Koreas since fighting ended in the Korean War in 1953. Kim then invited South Korean leader Moon Jae-in to step into the northern side of the DMZ.” – CNN
Kim Jong Un signed at the Peace House
He wrote “a new history begins now” and “an age of peace, at the starting point of history”
3 Key points of summit

Where is real peace?
Where did the War take place?
Wars of mankind : total 14,513 times.
Reason of War: 80% Religious war
Victims of War : 3.7 billion
Nobel Peace prize rewarded : 124 times
How long should we wait? We can’t stand it anymore. It is so hard and painful. My family and friends are dying. Who can compensate you for their death? To Whom? What can you do? Money never can pay it back. Nothing can repay this!
DPCW is the Ultimate Solution
Chairman Lee proclaimed “HWPL has made peace agreements with present and former presidents and heads of state, chiefs justices of Supreme courts, university presidents, religious leaders, and the heads of international organizations, and this news has been broadcasted allaround the world. The cessation of war and world peace will become a reality because everyone desires for peace rather than war” and finally “We have the answer to peace which is the DPCW.” I’m sure it will cure the world more beautifully.
DPCW is the solution!!! Let’s become the messengers of peace!
On Thursday, April 26, The local elected representatives of Târgu-Mureş approved a Memorandum of Understanding(MOU, with 20 votes for and 3 against) between Târgu-Mureş City Hall and Heavenly Culture, Korea’s World Peace, Restoration of Light (HWPL) South.
“Târgu-Mureş, Cultural Town of Peace”
“One of the brands of Târgu-Mureş is that of a multicultural city. Târgu-Mureş Town Hall opens the way to dialogue on the realization of an ample cultural program called “Târgu-Mureş, Cultural Town of Peace”.
The representative of Tîrgu-Mureş said “It is among the organizations with the strongest cultural, social and educational projects that militate for peace, interculturality. Târgu-Mureş is the only city in Romania to which a memorandum was proposed and our city will be considered by South Korea as a reference point for harmonious interethnic relations.”
I am against it
Local councilor Radu Balaş (POL) said ‘I can’t understand why the City Hall of Târgu-Mureş has to associate with an NGO. Why?’ It can be useless.
MOU needs for Târgu-Mureş
Makkai Grigore, Deputy Mayor of UDMR, said “Today, when the world struggles to be seen and see, today, when globalization has become a common thing, we come with such aberrations.”
“It is the largest NGO in the worldla(It can be a mistranstion) so that I do not know why we deny it. It is a pride for us, for the city of Târgu-Mureş, for the Târgu-Mureş Council. MOU also stipulates that we are changing students, young professionals between us. As Korea is regarded as a “tiger” of the development of the Eastern economy, we also could import from there many ideas and many other positive things.”
Local councilor Theodora Benedek (PNL) said ‘Memorandum would be beneficial for the international opening of Târgu-Mureş, and implicitly for the attraction of foreign investors.’
Results : for20vsagainst3
“I can only praise this initiative and become the first city, not from Romania, but maybe from the region of Southeastern Europe, which takes such a step.” – Makkai Grigore
