Lee Seung-yoon (No. 30) won the “Sing Again” JTBC (2020-21)

“Sing Again” is an audition program for “forgotten” singers.

I really liked the purpose itself from the beginning. It’s really hard to succeed in the music world. Many of them suffer from eating and living problems.

Singers Lee Sun-hee and Yoo Hee-yeul, lyricist Kim Ea-na, rocker Jeon In-kwon and Kyuhyun of Super Junior are among the judges.

I especially like Yoo Hee-yeul and Kim Ea-na. Their words are friendly and supportive. It’s very good to give balanced advice.

Lee Seung-yoon was crowned the winner of JTBC’s hit audition program “Sing Again” (2020-21) and took home prize money of 100 million won ($89,000).

My favorite song is the Lee Seung-yoon’s adaptation of Lee Hyori’s “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang” (2011)

The judges were all shocked. When the judges’ reaction was fiercely divided over the two singers, singer Yoo Hee-yeol, who is a judge on the show, equated it with the birth of pioneering acts such as Seo Taiji, Guckkasten and Kiha & The Faces.

It is great to be able to confuse judges who have lived in music for about 30 years.

He opened a new genre and became a light, until now no one has been recognized. Those who did such music were all minor. He failed a lot, he felt inferior and he blamed himself every time.

[Korean Culture] JTBC “Sing Again” (2020)

JTBC’s ‘Sing Again(싱어게인)’ offers forgotten singers a second chance.

Singers who are forgotten, standing alone after leaving a group for the first time, have failed to succeed despite their superb singing skills among others are given one more chance to appeal to the public on the show.

One of the interesting parts of the program is that contestants are called by their numbers, from one to 71, instead of their names.

In addition, there were many other unknown singers. Among them, there were many singers who enjoyed music and were good at it.

The song was so famous that the singer was forgotten, and there were many people who had their own stories.

I listen to the above 4 singers a lot these days. I hope you guys experience this music too.

SM girl group: AESPA “Black Mamba”

Aespa is a South Korean girl group formed by SM Entertainment, consisting of members Karina, Giselle, Winter and Ningning.

The group debuted on November 17, 2020, with the release of their debut single, “Black Mamba”.

Why are they called æspa?

Their name comes from combining ‘æ’ derived from ‘Avatar X Experience’ & ‘aspect’.

Refund Sisters “DON’T TOUCH ME” MV

Refund Sisters is a seasonal South Korean K-pop supergroup formed on the MBC variety show Hangout with Yoo. The group is a spin-off formed from SSAK3 – another supergroup – when Lee Hyori said during Hangout with Yoo that she wanted to form a ‘strong image’ girl group with Uhm Jung-hwa, Jessi, and Hwasa.

Each member was highlighted in their own unique color: Lee Hyori (Chun Ok) in orange, Uhm Jung Hwa in red, Hwasa in purple, and Jessi (Eun Bi) in pink.

Someone said “we need more collabs like that in kpop. not only the group: the interactions, the performances, etc are all amazing. i love all the girls and their careers, is nice to see that is a friendship between then.”

Another said “Jessi : no matter how much I age. I will still be better than them!! YES QUEENS!!!!!”

[Korean Culture] YooA (OH MY GIRL) 1st Mini Album [Bon Voyage]

YooA (Hangul: 유아) whose birth name was Yoo Yeon-joo (Hangul: 유연주) and then legally changed her name to “Yoo Shi-ah” (Hangul: 유시아) was one of the lead vocalists and one of the group’s main dancers OH MY GIRL.

Oh My Girl (Korean: 오마이걸, also stylized as OH MY GIRL and OMG) is a South Korean girl group formed by WM Entertainment. The group is composed of seven members: Hyojung, Mimi, YooA, Seunghee, Jiho, Binnie and Arin.

Someone said “She’s like a nature fairy. She glows and it’s like she’s flying in the MV. YooA’s just perfect and stunning.”

Another said “her voice is so Magically Pure and throughout this MV I realised that she brought kpop genre to the whole next level.”

As this album marks her official solo debut, YooA said she felt very nervous, explaining, “I couldn’t even sleep. [Korean Culture] Yoo Jae Seok, Lee Hyori, Rain (SSAK3) Solo.ver

As I introduced it last time, SSAK3 is a summer project group that became very popular in Korea.

As the song they sang together topped the music charts, it proved its popularity.

This time, each of the three members (Yoo Jae Seok, Lee Hyori, Rain) released their own solo songs, and Linda’s song topped the list. It’s not stimulating, but it’s comforting to the corona-related situation.

[Korean Culture] Yoo Jae Seok, Lee Hyori, Rain (SSAK3)

“Hangout with Yoo” is a South Korean reality show program on MBC. It airs on MBC starting from July 27, 2019 on Saturdays at 18:30.

The project group SSAK3, created through the TV variety show “Hangout with Yoo,” swept domestic charts with their latest release. “Here at the Beach Again” was released on Saturday, June 19 and instantly climbed to the top of domestic music charts.

In addition, SSAK3 (Lee Hyori, Yoo Jae Seok, Rain) will be donating to communities in need. The group is currently very popular in Korea.
