On October 17, HWPL held a Peace Education Graduation Ceremony for Grade 9 Class 1 students at School No.109 in Nalaikh District, Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. This program was carried out in cooperation with a local lifelong education center and followed HWPL’s official 12-lesson peace education curriculum over five months.

A total of 45 students completed the course, along with teachers and invited guests attending the ceremony. During the program, students took part in activities such as writing peace letters and creating a “Tree of Peace,” which helped them reflect on themselves and better understand others.

AYLCI, a youth leadership organization based in Georgia and a member of IPYG, partnered with IPYG to launch youth-led peace initiatives in the Atlanta area. Through projects like “Play4Peace ATL,” young people shared real-life conflict experiences, learned how to communicate with public officials, and practiced writing policy proposals for peace.

Their efforts led several cities and counties to officially support peace culture and declare local “Weekend of Peace” events. This collaboration was recognized as a new youth peace leadership model that combines peace education, civic engagement, and leadership development, showing how young people can take an active role in building peace in their communities.
