Peace leaders and religious leaders from all over the world gathered in Seoul for the first time in 2014.
It’s a YouTube shorts for less than a minute, so I recommend you watch it. I can feel the excitement wash over me.
In 2013, HWPL declared through the Declaration of World Peace that, to end wars and bring peace to the global community, a new international legal instrument was needed.
At the 2014 World Peace Summit, legal and political leaders from around the world signed an agreement with HWPL to work together on drafting such a document.
In just a year and a half, on 14 March 2016, the Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War (DPCW) was proclaimed, and HWPL is actively committed to the introduction of the DPCW into international law.
Man hee Lee, the Chairman of HWPL, said “If you are a believer who truly desires for peace and loves this global community like his own body, religions must become one. When religions become one, there will be no more war; and if there is no war, there will be peace. Let’s all become one so we can make this global community into a world of peace.”
Man Hee Lee is a man who is showing the way to the path of peace. With a clear vision, many follow in his footsteps. With him and HWPL, peace will come soon enough.
Recently, I’ve been re-motivated about peace. I’ve also been thinking about writing a peace novel. Don’t you think it would be fun?
So we felt it was time to take a look back at what HWPL has been up to since 2014. I also found a YouTube channel called HWPL Peace Magazine. I will be reviewing them one by one.
HWPL hosted the HWPL 918 World Peace Summit (HWPL WARPsummit) in 2014 with leaders in politics, religion, women’s groups, youth groups and the media in attendance.
HWPL and leaders of various sectors convened to discuss conflict resolution, establishing peace, and mutual cooperation and signed landmark agreements on building and implementing solid systems for cooperation.
The agreements covered implementing legal instruments to ensure peace, building religious harmony and creating peace activites by state actors and citizens, respectively.
The legal instruments became the DPCW (Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War) in 2016.
It’s so interesting to trace the past like this. It’s inspiring to see what they decided to do then, and how they realized it years later.
In fact, there’s a HWPL Press Conference that attracts a lot of reporters. The Chairman of HWPL, Man hee Lee, coolly answers the question. These days, reporters are increasingly curious, not aggressively snarky.
As I review each video, I hope you will feel the power of HWPL and become a messenger of peace.
#TheTrueStoryofPeace, #HWPL World Peace Summit, #Manheelee
In commemoration of the 9th 2023 HWPL World Peace Summit, 61 discussions were held. Participants from 45 countries in the Americas, Africa, Asia, and Europe engaged in meetings.
Do you know DPCW? DPCW is the Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War. What is expected now is that the DPCW is the answer to peace.
10 Articles of DPCW contain three important values
1st, Prevention of conflict (Article 1-5)
2nd, Settlement of conflict (Article 6-7)
3rd, Maintenance of peace (Article 8-10)
Full text of DPCW is here.
I wish you had the opportunity to read these slowly. If you read them one by one, you can see that those who truly love peace have clearly confirmed it.
Since 2016, from the civic level, everyone has tried to bring the DPCW to the United Nations.
The “Legislate Peace” (LP) project is a global initiative to support and advocate for the Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War (DPCW) and its implementation at the international level.
The LP project started off as the Sign Your Support campaign, which was launched to promote the value of the DPCW as a solution for achieving global peace and urge different sectors of society to support this declaration.
At the 2023 DPCW Conference, the MOU and MOA agreements for the operation and collaboration of peace activities (10 topics), and the national support needed for the Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War (DPCW) at the national level (15 topics) were discussed.
In total, 61 project goals were established, and a signing ceremony to implement these projects took place.
After three days of discussions, the DPCW Conference held on September 20th announced the results of the discussions. At the conference, a “Joint Statement on Conflict Resolution and Spreading a Culture of Peace” was publicly released.
This statement emphasizes cooperation and a shared commitment to realizing the DPCW and implementing peace activities. A total of 166 individuals signed the joint statement.
I think selfishness is the most important part to solve in order to achieve peace. People should let go of their greed. Profit should not be more important than life.
I hope we can be peace messengers together. It’s very easy. You just need to change one little thing in your daily life. Let’s find a way together.
The HWPL (Chairman man hee lee) is the most substantial and powerful organization I know of peace. They are made up of powerful people. I became a fan because of it, and I’m very proud. 🙂
From the 18th to the 21st, 1,800 people from 121 countries around the world, including the United States, the Philippines, South Africa, Pakistan, Thailand, Romania and India, attended the 2023 HWPL World Peace Summit.
For four days, HWPL signed MOUs/MOAs with about 140 organizations, including the Ministry of Education of five countries and the National Committee of UNESCO of five countries.
In addition, the “World Religious Peace Academy” was established in which religious leaders from around the world understand and harmonize with each other over a total of five times, including Buddhism, Hinduism, Sikhism, Islam, and Christianity. It is said that it has become a place to learn and compare other religious writings with an open mind and realize “religious peace.”
HWPL has opened 282 WARP offices in 131 countries so far, and is expected to expand further with this ceremony.
At the ceremony, substantial and practical strategies for enacting legally binding peace international law (DPCW) were discussed by country and field. Legislate Peace (LP) projects became ‘LP Program’. It means that it has become more organized.

Because they are mother.. Young people lose their lives in the war, and they are someone’s sons.
IWPG unites with women all around the world to fundamentally solve conflicts and violence on the earth.
Through this, IWPG protects precious lives from war and passes down peace as a legacy to the future generation.
How can achieve Peace?
IWPG strives to find a fundamental solution for all conflicts and wars ranging from those that exist among individuals to those among different states in the international community and tries to build a new order that will establish a sustainable world of peace.
For this, each individual must realize their importance as an actor in the peace process and act upon it, which can be done through women’s peace education.
If women unite and raise their voices for the establishment of an international peace law and peace institutions, they will be able to break the vicious cycle of conflict and bring true peace to this world that our future generations can enjoy forever.
“Now is the time to realize peace. Women all around the world should come together and end violence, war, and conflict to open a new ever of peace.”
“The night is dark, but there is still a light of hope because there is the moon. Let’s all become messengers of peace that bring an end to war and realize true peace to pass down as a legacy to the future generation. If we women come together as one, we can do it.”
– Hyun Sook Yoon, the Chairwoman of the International Women’s Peace Group (IWPG)
Women are special because they can conceive life and raise the future generation. This is a video from last year! It would be fun to see how different it is. I hope you’ll see for yourself. 🙂
The reason is that they are young people, and that they are the subjects to fight in the event of a war.
Have you ever experienced a war? It can vary depending on the country and age in which you live. Or have you ever imagined a war? What was the war like in the movie?
I think war is ‘very terrible’ itself. War does not make winners. There is no grass left where the missiles have fallen countless times. What happiness is there in the place where the next comrade is dying?
After the war, who is the winner? I don’t think it’s the young people who died in the war. Who will pay for their lives?
I don’t want to denigrate their spirit of sacrifice for their country. If humans could have put down their selfishness a little more, they might have lived a better life without dying.
Discussion on Running Youth Engagement & Peacebuilding Working group (YEPW) Globally
The International Peace Youth Group (IPYG), an organization under HWPL, has formed a Youth Engagement & Peacebuilding Working group (YEPW) around affiliated organizations in 119 countries seeking to maintain citizen-led peace and promote a culture of peace.
Today’s topic is how to move globally. Young representatives from each country will have a hard discussion today. The sight of their eyes makes my heart warm. Because I feel their passion for peace.
They campaigned vigorously for peace letters and wrote letters to presidents. In addition, they are continuing various activities by building networks with various young people.
The List of IPYG projects (Click the image. you can go to IPYG homepage)
For example, the IPYG aims at making a miracle of world peace by joining efforts with the 1.4 billion youths around the world. Every May 25th, the IPYG Peace Walk is held in every corner of the world.
The IPYG is working to sow a culture of peace in every hearts and minds of youth by executing projects to put the Article 10 of the DPCW – Spreading a Culture of Peace into action.
The IPYG members paint peace walls, host and participate in various peace-themed contests and peace concert.
Isn’t it very meaningful to plan something for peace yourself, think about it, and make it happen? It can be small, so I want you to practice it in your daily life!
Let me know in the comments if you’ve done anything.
The 9th Anniversary of the September 18th HWPL World Peace Summit is set to be held on 18 September 2023 in Seoul, Korea.
This is like a festival of peace. If you participate here, you will feel as if peace has been made. You will really want peace. 🙂
I thought again about the core part of HWPL(Chairman Man hee Lee). What are the best 5 things? I organized it based on my thoughts.
What is the 5 keywords of HWPL?
Peace Network (Law for Peace) HWPL is working with governments and internatinal organizations for the adoption of the DPCW at the international level
Solidarity with Global Citizens HWPL is working in solidarity with global citizens to carry out peace activities
Interfaith Harmony HWPL is promoting interfaith harmony to prevent conflicts between religions
Culture of Peace (Peace Education) HWPL is endeavoring to spread a culture of peace, which is one of the core values of the DPCW.
HWPL carry out various peace activities and has many partners I’m going to write down the list below.

It is very encouraging that work for peace has continued steadily over the past nine years. If you think about it, it’s really touching. Because people don’t care about peace.
What is the role of Global Peace Leader?
Why is so much work possible in such a short time? I think this is because the Chairman Lee Man-hee, who is the center of HWPL even at an age over 90, is here. He’s a really powerful driver.
2023 HWPL World Peace Summit is held to examine the key achievements of the agreements signed that day, and establish future plans.
This year, each session will be broadcast live. I’m really looking forward to it!! Each session will be attended by numerous peacemakers invited from abroad. I’m looking forward to what each person will say and what they’ve done.
This year, they’re going to talk more about DPCW and LP program. I think it would be good to focus on that more.
What is this abbreviation about? Maybe, you haven’t heard ever it. But it is truly nessary to know about this, if you want to be a peace maker.
HWPL, a non-governmental organization, is associated with the UN Department of Global Communications (DGC) and in Special Consultative Status with the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC).
HWPL aims to achieve world peace through the heavenly culture and restore the global community with light across the world.
Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light (HWPL) has led initiatives that propose multidimensional strategies inclusive of governments, intergovernmental organizations, and civil society in the efforts for implementing conflict resolution and establishing peace.
HWPL is leading an international peace movement with leaders in all walks of life without being limited by national, cultural, or ideological boundaries.
What is the value of journalists?
HWPL always holds press conferences when it does 918 events. Why is that?
As mentioned above, HWPL is really aware of the value of the role of journalists.
The ability of journalists seems to be in writing. With the power of powerful writing, something intangible is embodied.
If you want to experience the power, you should listen to the press conference for yourself. If you analyze every word, it feels deeper. 🙂
Press Conference for the 9th Anniversary of the September 18th HWPL World Peace Summit
HWPL World Peace Summit, a festival for the family of peace, is a time to witness achievements made for peace and to commit to the work of peace that needs to be done in the future.
At the September 18th, 2014, HWPL World Peace Summit was held. Around 200,000 participants gathered.
The implementation of international law for peace and achievement of religious harmony was proposed as the solution to build a peaceful world.
At the 4th annual commemoration of the HWPL World Peace Summit held in 2018, MOAs and MOUs were signed with many international organizations, including five ministries of education and major media agencies in 12 countries.
To spread a culture of peace, through 30 world peace tours visiting 71 countries, heads of state, prime ministers, chief justices and religious leaders became a part of HWPL peace advisory council and journalists around the world became HWPL publicity ambassadors taking the lead to publicize hwpl’s peace activities.
As a result of the efforts to resolve the conflict in Mindanao, philippines, January 24th, Mindanao peace agreement day was declared.
Also, HWPL days such as declaration of world peace day and September 18th world alliance of religions day were designated.
The efforts to remember and commemorate peace are being achieved through HWPL peace museum library and peace park.
HWPL is making efforts with the world to cease wars and to leave a world of peace as a legacy to the future generations.
The peace movement of HWPL, joined by all people around the world, will change the future of mankind.
For a new era of eternal prosperity that everyone has dreamed of, we will follow the path of peace together with HWPL.
In fact, I’ve been thinking about this for a long time.
Why should we seek peace? Human nature is often far from peace..
Nevertheless, why should we not give up..? Why should it be?
In fact, I expressed it as a long time, but the moment to think about it is very short. It’s a really short moment.. Do you know the answer?
Nevertheless, would we say it’s a value that we should keep? Is it a key value that a person can remain a person?
That’s true. There are quite a few people who have given up as human beings. Who can determine human qualifications? Does the standard value exist?
I think a lot of things are connected. The agony of peace coincides with spiritual anguish, and our lives are connected to those of people on the other side of the world.
So I love that shout. “We Are One!!” And I like people who risk their lives to keep the peace even if they don’t gain anything. I love them.
But I’m busy with a lot of work to make ends meet. So on the other hand, I’m sorry, but I’m trying to help them somehow. So I write like this. How do you live? I’m curious.
Below is a video that I really want to introduce to you. If you want to feel the culture of peace, please watch it. 🙂
8th Anniversary of the September 18th HWPL World Peace Summit
Subtitle: Peace as an Institution: A Foundation for Sustainable Development Date: September, 18th, 2022 Replay: https://bit.ly/3RRyqUx #918WorldPeaceSummit #DPCW
On September 18th, the 8th Anniversary of the September 18th HWPL World Peace Summit was held online with the theme of ‘Peace as an Institution: A Foundation for Sustainable Development’.
HWPL has proposed peace as an institution to resolve the above global threats. The main goal is to weave the values of peace into our social fabric, allowing mutual respect, harmony, cooperation, and co-prosperity.
HWPL’s vision for peace as an institution goes beyond temporary measures to cease conflict actions and pursues peace incorporated into laws, values, and cultures.
Regarding the cause of peacebuilding at the global level, Chairman Man Hee Lee of HWPL said, “The global village has suffered from the unexpected COVID-19 that has hit every country. People are not alone in the midst of difficulties.”
“We live in the same global village, and we are neighbors and families. Each one of us is the one who are obliged to make our world a better place to live. And shouldn’t we pass on our good world to our descendants?”
Mr. Chung Young-min, General Director of the IPYG emphasized the role of youth as the main player of international action for peace by saying that education programs for 1,500 global youth in 59 countries are hosted to “protect the basic rights of youth around the world so that everyone can live a happy life without being left behind.”
