🌍 Dominican Senate Adopts Resolution Supporting DPCW

The Senate of the Dominican Republic has adopted a resolution supporting the Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War (DPCW) ahead of the September 18–19 HWPL World Peace Summit commemoration in Korea.
The chamber praised HWPL’s role in fostering dialogue, reconciliation, and cooperation, while stressing that any application of DPCW principles must fully align with each nation’s constitution, sovereignty, and domestic legal order—and does not automatically create international obligations.
It also urged the government to support the DPCW in international fora and to encourage UN General Assembly consideration as a key instrument for global peace. ✨🌍
The resolution recalls the 1948 Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the 2001 Inter-American Democratic Charter, affirming peace as a foundation for democracy and human dignity. It recognizes the DPCW as a comprehensive, non-binding framework for peaceful dispute resolution and protection of fundamental rights, consistent with the country’s commitment to peace, democracy, and human rights.
It notes that states may apply DPCW principles to local contexts to build a lasting legacy, and it signals a clear message of support to the international community. The Senate also expressed respect and gratitude to HWPL’s leadership for long-standing, war-ending peace efforts and global outreach. 🌱⭐
✨ Expanding Interfaith Dialogue and the Value of Peace

HWPL held a Sharing Religious Culture program at the ISKCON Radha Krishna Temple in Paris 🌍. The event promoted dialogue between religions, encouraged mutual understanding, and highlighted the value of peace. Since 2019, HWPL has run the World Alliance of Religions’ Peace (WARP) Office in France.
By August 2022, it had already hosted 78 meetings, creating steady discussions on peace through religious scriptures. The program included a temple introduction, presentations about HWPL, sharing by ISKCON members, and an online lecture that stressed the need for unity among religions. 🌱⭐

After the presentations, participants enjoyed a meal together and took group photos 🎉. ISKCON leaders offered gifts, while HWPL presented a badge to the temple president. ISKCON also shared its work in education, including free learning programs and recognized degree courses.
These efforts were presented as ways to spread peace. HWPL stated that the event encouraged curiosity, open-mindedness, and harmony across communities. It also reaffirmed its commitment to continue dialogue with diverse faith traditions. 💡✨
🌟 Mandela Day Youth Volunteer Activities in South Africa

On July 17 and 22, HWPL organized youth volunteer activities at Jiniaville Secondary School in Rustenburg, South Africa 🌍. The program honored Nelson Mandela’s legacy of human rights, freedom, and equality. The first day saw 25 students join volunteer efforts, while the second day gathered 1,150 students and staff for a commemorative event.

Participants explored an exhibition on Mandela’s life, created posters reflecting his values, wrote thank-you letters to teachers, and planted greenery to improve the school environment. Through these actions, students gained both historical understanding and hands-on experience in peace and community spirit. 🌱✨

Jiniaville Secondary School has recognized HWPL as an official education partner and aims to integrate HWPL Peace Education into its curriculum. The school views peace education as a way to strengthen students’ character and civic awareness. This Mandela Day initiative stood as another achievement in its ongoing efforts to promote peaceful coexistence within the community and across the nation. 💡🌟
