In Incheon, over 300 attendees — including leaders, youth, and citizens — gathered for a powerful peace lecture. They explored how unity on the Korean Peninsula could be the starting point of a brighter future. A speaker reminded the crowd that peace isn’t only about politics; it’s about security, prosperity, and the lives of future generations.

One youth participant emphasized that “peace begins with connection,” and called for young people to raise their voices and take part in peacebuilding. The audience ended the event by singing “Our Wish Is Unification” together — a beautiful moment of shared hope. 🎶

In Gangneung, HWPL hosted a deep dive into Buddhist teachings, welcoming people of different faiths to learn and share together. Over two sessions, the audience explored themes like the Eightfold Path and the Six Paramitas — lessons about kindness, wisdom, and discipline.

The guest speaker emphasized that, even though beliefs may differ, a peaceful heart connects us all. Many attendees found new respect and understanding for each other’s traditions, showing how true peace is built through learning, not judging. ✍️

💗 Warm Hearts in Gimhae: Health and Peace for Cambodian Residents

Down south in Gimhae, something very special happened. About 80 Cambodian residents came for a free health check-up. But beyond physical health, the event focused on mental and emotional care as well. HWPL set up a booth sharing peace education, helping visitors reflect on their self-worth and value.

Every participant said they would gladly join peace education programs in the future. The Cambodian Embassy expressed strong support for HWPL’s mission and offered to collaborate more. That’s what happens when peace meets kindness. 💡

Did you know there’s actually a law proposal to stop war and build peace? Yep! It’s called the DPCW (Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War), and it’s not just words on paper—it’s got supporters from over 170 countries! 😮🌍

HWPL (Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light), a peace NGO led by Chairman Man Hee Lee, recently hosted a big online Peace Law Symposium with international experts. People from Ethiopia, Lebanon, and beyond joined to talk about how this declaration can help areas hit hard by conflict.

From the Philippines’ long-time conflict in Mindanao to civil issues in Ethiopia, folks shared stories and strategies. One key point? Peace needs local solutions that truly understand each culture and community. That’s why HWPL is working on regional customization of DPCW—so everyone feels seen and heard ✨📜

🌟 The Man Behind the Movement: Man Hee Lee’s Legacy of Peace

Behind HWPL’s global efforts is a leader who truly walks the talk—the Chairman Man Hee Lee, founder and chairman of HWPL. His journey of peace is not just about speeches or visions, but about real impact. In 2014, he successfully mediated a peace agreement in Mindanao, Philippines, putting an end to a devastating 40-year conflict between religious groups. That historic moment led the local government to declare January 24 as “Peace Day,” a symbol of lasting reconciliation.

Since then, the Chairman Man Hee Lee has led HWPL to unite people from all walks of life—law experts, religious leaders, educators, and everyday citizens—under one goal: sustainable, practical peace. The DPCW (Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War), created with international legal scholars, is a key example of his long-term vision. For Man Hee Lee, peace isn’t just the absence of war—it’s a lifestyle built through law, education, and mutual understanding. And that philosophy is now taking root all around the world—from Czech classrooms to Malaysian children’s homes. 🌍💛

Students who joined the course titled “A Better World Starts with Me” shared how their hearts and thinking changed. They learned about values like respect, forgiveness, gratitude, and how to put peace into practice every day.

Even people who once felt like outsiders in a new land shared how peace helped them feel a sense of belonging and courage to speak out against injustice. That’s the power of education when combined with a peaceful mindset 💡❤️

“We Are One!” : How Peace Brought Filipinos and Koreans Together

A STEP TOWARDS PEACE "We Are One!" : How Peace Brought Filipinos and Koreans Together WeAreOne PeaceStartsWithMe PeaceEducation KoreanWarVeterans HWPLPeaceMovement

🔑 Key Point: Peace is not just remembering the past — it’s something we all have to build together, especially through education and unity!

Summary Key Points

  • Filipino veterans honored for their role in the Korean War
  • 🌍 HWPL leads peace movements globally through law and education
  • 📚 Over 8,000 students and citizens join Peace Day in the Philippines
  • 🕊️ Veterans share wartime memories and call for Korean unification
  • 🤝 “We Are One” spirit inspires youth to stand for peace
  • ✍️ Peace Map signed to pass legacy to the next generation
  • 🧠 Education seen as the heart of lasting peace

🎖️Veterans Who Fought for Peace, Not Just War

On June 21, in a quiet corner of Parañaque City’s public library, something powerful happened. Filipino veterans who bravely fought in the Korean War gathered again — not for war, but for peace 🕊️.

At the “Thank You Day for Korean War Filipino Veterans”, old soldiers shared their painful memories. 💔 Bombs, fear, separation… but also unity, courage, and hope. One veteran remembered fighting at the front lines before the ceasefire — and how much it means to him to see South Korea thrive today.

They didn’t fight just for one country — they fought for a world that’s peaceful and united. That’s why HWPL (Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light) brought everyone together — to honor those who served and to remind us: We all have a role in peace. 🌼

📜 Peace Is a Legacy, Not Just a Dream

Peace isn’t just a word — it’s a mission that needs to be passed down. That’s why HWPL led a special “Peace Map Signing” ceremony. Veterans and their families signed messages of hope for the next generation.

The theme? “Comrades Who Fought Together, Let’s Unite Korea Together!” 🙌 It wasn’t just about remembering war, but about protecting the peace that so many fought for.

Children gave flowers to the veterans, saying, “Thanks to your sacrifice, we have a future.” 💐 That moment touched every heart in the room.

One association leader said it best:
“We didn’t go to Korea for war — we went to protect peace. And every ‘thank you’ we hear from the Korean people brings tears to our eyes.” 💖

🧠 Education: Planting the Seeds of Peace

So how do we keep the peace alive? 🎓 HWPL believes the answer is education. In places like the Philippines, where war has affected even kids (like during the 2017 Marawi conflict), peace education becomes super important.

That’s why HWPL started Peace Clubs with schools and DepEd offices in the Philippines. These clubs teach kids not just to talk about peace, but to live it, share it, and build it — through understanding, kindness, and unity. 🤝

On January 24, more than 8,000 students, parents, and teachers celebrated the 11th “Peace Day” in Cavite. One student said,
“Through our peace walk, we all became one voice for the world.” 🌍

In today’s digital world, even sharing peace messages on social media helps! 📱✨ “We have the power to spread peace with every post,” said a teen participant.

💬 Peace Is Everyone’s Job — Especially the Youth

“Adults declare war, but it’s the youth who fight it,” said a HWPL leader. So the youth must now rise — not to fight, but to protect peace through their voices. 🗣️

At the Peace Day event, young people were asked to lead the future with DPCW (Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War). It’s a law proposal built by HWPL and international legal experts that aims to stop war and promote human dignity worldwide. 🌐

One local school official summed it up perfectly:
“Peace isn’t the job of one country. It’s a mission we all share. From climate change to conflicts, we must face these challenges together — as one human family.” 💞🌎

✅ Final Thoughts: Peace Is Personal

Peace isn’t just about ending wars — it’s about creating a better life, together. Whether you’re a student, teacher, parent, or even a kid, you have the power to bring peace closer — one step, one smile, one lesson at a time 😊

Let’s carry the legacy of these brave veterans into our classrooms, homes, and online spaces. Let’s remember: We Are One
