UNHCR l 2020 World Refugee Day “Every Action Counts”

In Wikipedia, World Refugee Day, international observance observed June 20 each year, is dedicated to raising awareness of the situation of refugees throughout the world. This is today!

From my point of view, the activities against refugees seem to be the most noticeable among the activities of the United Nations. This is just my idea.

My dream is actually to work for an international organization like the United Nations. I want to build a career that can help more people, and do something really cool. I think it’s really wonderful for people to get closer to peace. I wish there was something I did during the process. 🙂

2020 Theme: Every Action Counts

The COVID-19 pandemic and the recent anti-racism protests have shown us how desperately we need to fight for a more inclusive and equal world: a world where no one is left behind. It has never been clearer that all of us have a role to play in order to bring about change. Everyone can make a difference.

This is at the heart of UNHCR’s World Refugee Day campaign. This year, we aim to remind the world that everyone, including refugees, can contribute to society and Every Action Counts in the effort to create a more just, inclusive, and equal world. (Source: UN page)

The refugee issue is really a global issue. Because 70.8 million people around the world have been forced from home by conflict and persecution at the end of 2018. Among them are nearly 30 million refugees, over half of whom are under the age of 18… If I were one of them, I would have felt terrible remorse for life.

Unless I jump directly into their lives, it seems that I inevitably have to be a hypocrisy. I want to try not to feel ashamed. Still, there is little I can do, but they seem to comfort us all.

Everyone can make a difference

Filippo Grandi, UN High Commissioner for Refugees, said “UNHCR is no stranger to challenges. For over 70 years we have been on the frontlines of countless emergencies.

Yet this global pandemic is of an entirely new magnitude. Our priority has been and will be, to stay and deliver for the refugees, internally displaced and stateless people we are mandated to protect. But we can’t do it alone.

Whoever you are. No matter where you come from. Every one of us can make a difference. Every action truly counts.“

This campaign seems to be a great project to urge everyone to join. HWPL, a peace organization that shouted, “Let’s all be one, We Are One” also came to mind. After all, what I felt was that peace was feasible when we all joined in and accomplished things, and otherwise it was not possible. 🙁

[Korean Culture] One GANG a day l Rain Effect

Rain, a very famous singer in Korea in the early 2000s, released a song called “GANG” in 2017. However, the song was ruined by public criticism.

The reason was that although his dance was very good, the lyrics were so cheesy and straightforward. And the times were changing rapidly, and in Korea, idols came up. He is now the head of the agency, but at that time he was a losing star.

But in 2020, something crazy happened. The number of views in his GANG music video began to explode. A high school girl parodied it and suddenly caught the eye, and people began to come over and over again, shouting out “One GANG a day.”

The comment box in the music video is a big festival of humor. There were so many witty and funny comments, and people gathered more explosively. The number of views, which was initially 5 million, is now surpassing 15 million in a short period of time.

The period of self-isolation increased during the Corona, so people watched more, and parody videos exploded. It’s a lot.

Nevertheless, there has been no response from the singer himself for a long time. However, he appeared with famous MC Yoo Jae-seok in May 2020, accelerating the trend even more. [2020 Voice Korea] Artist Kim Yeji “ALL TURN”

I brought a video of songs that will make me feel better today.

This time, on a Korean music competition program called Voice Korea, I’m going to introduce a woman who has captured the hearts of judges at once with an incredibly attractive voice and a feeling of intoxication with music.

J.Fla is a South Korean singer, music artist, songwriter, and YouTuber.

YouTube sensation J. Fla, famous for her covers of Ed Sheeran’s “Shape of You” and Luis Fonsi’s “Despacito,” has become the first independent Korean YouTuber to attract 10 million subscribers. (Now 15 million)

“Shape of you” has more than 250 million views. And “Despacito” has more than 160 million views. Do you want to see famous things?

[K-pop Girl Group] Oh My Girl – Hyojung’s Cuteness

I’m so into her charms these days. 🙂

She’s always smiling. Someone asked if it’s always hard to laugh, and she answered that it’s harder not to laugh.

I think it’s because she prepared for a children’s song contest for 7 years. But there was a program when she cried that she sometimes felt too lonely.

Even though it’s been a while since her debut, she still looks passionate and happy like a rookie. It makes me feel really good.

She is so cuteeeee. 🙂

She’s so charming when she dances that I think I’ve seen her about ten times. The first time she shook her hair (1:06-1:07) in the dance seems to be the most exciting.

[K-POP Girl Group] ITZY (있지) – ‘Wannabe (워너비)’ Shoulder Dance

ITZY (있지) is a South Korean girl group formed by JYP Entertainment, consisting of members Yeji (예지), Lia (리아), Ryujin (류진), Chaeryeong (채령), and Yuna (유나).

In 00:18~00:24, The shoulder dance of the intro was very popular. The lyrics are “잔소리는 stop it 알아서 할게.” It means that “Stop nagging it, I’ll take care of it.” Her name in the middle is Ryujin. I fell in love with her charm after watching this video.

In this video, I fell in love with Hyo-jung. Look at that video! In 00:32~00:34, Hyojung comes out. She is so pretty and so cuteeeeee. ahahaa

satisfying, relaxing and calming vlog

As I stay at home, I watch YouTube quite often. I go in when I’m bored.
