Do you know Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela?

He is very famous person. Why? You already know the reason.

He is the first black president by a vote.

Do you know that? He was in prison for a long time. How long?

26 years!!!!! It’s surprising!!!!

It’s sad.. And I have mixed feelings.

Why did he go to jail? Hmm… It’s mixed.

in 1961 Mandela, Sisulu, and Slovo co-founded Umkhonto we Sizwe (“Spear of the Nation”, abbreviated MK). Becoming chairman of the militant group, Mandela gained ideas from Marxist literature on guerilla warfare by Mao and Che Guevara as well as from the military theorist Carl von Clausewitz.(Wikipedia)

So he was captured in 1962. He gave his final testimony  in court. It is called Rivonia Trial Speech in 1964.

I have fought against white domination, and I have fought against black domination. I have cherished the ideal of a democratic and free society in which all persons will live together in harmony and with equal opportunities. It is an ideal which I hope to live for and to see realised. But if it needs be, it is an ideal for which I am prepared to die.”

After 30 years later his inauguration took place in Pretoria on 1994.

“We understand it still that there is no easy road to freedom. We know it well that none of us acting alone can achieve success. We must therefore act together as a united people, for national reconciliation, for nation building, for the birth of a new world. Let there be justice for allLet there be peace for all. Let there be work, bread, water and salt for all. Let each know that for each the body, the mind and the soul have been freed to fulfill themselves. Never, never and never again shall it be that this beautiful land will again experience the oppression of one by another and suffer the indignity of being the skunk of the world.” – Inaugural Speech in 1994

Now you read this essay…

What do you feel…?

A STEP TOWARDS PEACE The Nobel Peace Prize 1993 Nelson Mandela #3 featured

Your feeling is the most important thing for your sake. It is the most important thing that I think!!

I don’t know much about politics. I don’t know much about ideology.

So I can’t make a judgement that Nelson Mandela is good or bad.

A STEP TOWARDS PEACE The Nobel Peace Prize 1993 Nelson Mandela #3 featured

The purpose of this essay is just to share the enlightenment.

A STEP TOWARDS PEACE The Nobel Peace Prize 1993 Nelson Mandela #3 featured

“What counts in life is not the mere fact that we have lived. It is what difference we have made to the lives of others that will determine the significance of the life we lead.”

– Nelson Mandela

One more hour a day!!!

A STEP TOWARDS PEACE One more hour a day!!!

This one hour is what other people don’t have. So It is special. That’s right?

I’m really concerned about how to spend my 1 hour.

A STEP TOWARDS PEACE One more hour a day!!!

While this I realize that I write ‘my’ 1 hour.

First, I thought that I wanted to be better than other people to spend that 1 hour.

I asked me a question. What is criteria about ‘better man’?

A STEP TOWARDS PEACE One more hour a day!!!

Curiously answer of ‘my’ time and answer of criteria are same.

The criteria for all is God and shepherd with God.

It is not my time. I’m allowed an hour.

The criteria of better man is a man who are recognized by God.

A STEP TOWARDS PEACE One more hour a day!!!

Our purpose is clear. It is the healing of the nations.

Also what I have to do is clear. I usually want to write diary if it is an ordinary day.

A STEP TOWARDS PEACE One more hour a day!!!

But I need to grow more and more.

I want to rush into work. And I want to struggle desperately.

And then I will change in spite of myself. 🙂

A STEP TOWARDS PEACE The Nobel Peace Prize 2014 Malala Yousafzai #2

Do you know her? Hang on to your hats!!

She is just only 17 years old in 2014. She is the youngest Nobel peace prize winner.

Why she is so influential?

On the afternoon of 9 October 2012, Yousafzai boarded her school bus in the northwest Pakistani district of Swat.

A STEP TOWARDS PEACE The Nobel Peace Prize 2014 Malala Yousafzai #2

A gunman asked for her by name, then pointed a pistol at her and fired three shots. One bullet hit the left side of Yousafzai‘s forehead, travelled under her skin through the length of her face, and went into her shoulder.

In the days immediately following the attack, she remained unconscious and in critical condition.(From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia)

But She recovered her health!!! It’s a miracle.

Her walk started at 11-12 years old. Yousafzai wrote a blog at that time to  change the world.

The world was in an uproar over this assassination.

It is a opportunity for her to change the world.

A STEP TOWARDS PEACE The Nobel Peace Prize 2014 Malala Yousafzai #2

The 2013, 2014 and 2015 issues of Time magazine featured Yousafzai as one of “The 100 Most Influential People in the World”

In July 2013, she spoke at the headquarters of the United Nations to call for worldwide access to education

In February 2014, she was nominated for the World Children’s Prize in Sweden.

Later in 2014, Yousafzai was announced as the co-recipient of the 2014 Nobel Peace Prize, along with Kailash Satyarthi(From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia)

For her “Nobel peace prize is a beginning, not an end “

One little girl changes the world even now.

“One child, one teacher, one book, one pen can change the world.”

Letters to Me(After 10 years) #1

Hi. 🙂

Hmm… I feel a little awkward. What do you do?

A STEP TOWARDS PEACE Letters to Me(After 10 years) #1 featured

Hmm… How do you feel…?

I’m a little worried and excited now. How about you?

A STEP TOWARDS PEACE Letters to Me(After 10 years) #1 featured

Hmm… I can’t hear you. It’s too bad..

I just want you to grow nice and not to avoid any more. That’s all.

A STEP TOWARDS PEACE Letters to Me(After 10 years) #1 featured

In fact, I want that you are a intelligent and successful lecturer.

But I know that I have to want you to be happy.

It’s ironic…

A STEP TOWARDS PEACE Letters to Me(After 10 years) #1 featured

Do I want to say more?

No. I will do my job.  I will live for today.

Waiting for me as a nice figure. Good Luck. 🙂

PS. I want to change as soon as possible.  Ah. Also don’t rationalize. OK?

Question : Effort vs Luck. Agree or disagree?

Question : Success is due only to hard work. Luck does not make a person successful. Agree or disagree?

A STEP TOWARDS PEACE Question : Effort vs Luck. Agree or disagree?

I agree. But on the other hand I disagree.

I really want to say that ‘It is not their fault whatever they agree or disagree’.

It is different from point of views.

A STEP TOWARDS PEACE Question : Effort vs Luck. Agree or disagree?

People can divide somethings into ‘What I can control’ and ‘What I can’t control’.

Someone who think succeed is because of hard work only just pay attention to ‘What I can control’.

Someone who think It is not only just pay attention to ‘What I can’t control’.

But I admit that its standard is different among people.

A STEP TOWARDS PEACE Question : Effort vs Luck. Agree or disagree?

Do you have an experience that shakes your standard?

Honestly, I try something out to achive peace. But I can’t believe really peaceful world is realized.

A STEP TOWARDS PEACE Question : Effort vs Luck. Agree or disagree?

See that HWPL , IPYG and IWPG’s peace march!!

People whoever have two eyes and one head must say It is impossible.

It is because people pay attention to ‘What I can’t control’

People who make the impossible possible.

A STEP TOWARDS PEACE Question : Effort vs Luck. Agree or disagree?

HWPL(Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light).

A STEP TOWARDS PEACE Question : Effort vs Luck. Agree or disagree?

Nothing is impossible to a willing heart. (proverb)

Field : arms control and disarmament, world organizing

The Nobel Committee lauded Obama for his “extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples”

He is 44th President of the United States of America.

Obama had emphasized dialogue and cooperation across national, ethnic, religious and political dividing lines.

Anyone can shout such things. But the reason why winners are great is  that It is very difficult to do something more than words.

So I want to pay attention to his childhood story.

A STEP TOWARDS PEACE The Nobel Peace Prize 2009 Barack H. Obama #1

Do you know ‘Dreams From My Father?

It is his autobiography. He wrote it when the first black editor in chief of “Harvard Law Review”.

It is hard to summarize his youth. But his childhood is struggles as a young adult to reconcile social perceptions of his multiracial heritage.

A STEP TOWARDS PEACE The Nobel Peace Prize 2009 Barack H. Obama #1

The most important his concern was ‘who he was’.

I think there is a lot I can learn from him.

Now I know it’s up to me. 🙂

Here we go!! Hold on to your hat!!

Do you know ‘Woholleo‘? 🙂
A STEP TOWARDS PEACE Here we go!! Hold on to your hat!!

In Korea ‘Woholleo‘ is people who get the working holiday visa.

In Korea 50,000 people go to work in 20 countries in a year.

30,000 of them go to work in Australia.

A STEP TOWARDS PEACE Here we go!! Hold on to your hat!!

They have dreams that they can learn English but also make money.

A STEP TOWARDS PEACE Here we go!! Hold on to your hat!!

And they want to go little cafe with new foreign fridends. And then they wish little cafe has a very social atmosphere.

But the reality is the exact opposite.

I want to introduce a korean movie “HOLYWORKINGDAY

Do you see it?

It starts Conan O’Brien‘s 2011 Dartmouth College Commencement.

“In 2000, I told graduates that do not be afraid to fail. and I want to tell you that you should not feel failure, you should do your very best to avoid it.

Nietzsche’s famous said whatever does you kill makes you stronger.

What he felt the stress is that is almost kill you.”

I think It exactly says Woholleo‘s life.

There is one more reason why Woholleo live a hard life.

A STEP TOWARDS PEACE Here we go!! Hold on to your hat!!

Asian Woholleo is called ‘dust mite‘ by some of Australian.

It is a human rights issue that they suffer from.

I know it hurts……… We know that…..

So I begin to pay attention to ‘PEACE‘.

A STEP TOWARDS PEACE Here we go!! Hold on to your hat!!

It is the reason why I start blog.
Wait for it. Just throbbing. 🙂
