I think it’s comforting that there are people who act for peace somewhere in the world.

love peace… I wonder how beautiful it means.

Who wants peace? I actually think we all want peace. But in fact, we don’t seem to have time to think about peace because we’re too busy making ends meet.

But I think we can do that because we are safe. Because that’s not my job. But there are still people whose parents died in the war right now. People die every day in disputed areas.

In the end, we all become one community. No matter how far away we are, it seems most important to know that we are one.

HWPL is the most powerful peace organization that practices this meaning. In particular, civic groups of HWPL really love peace. I think the power of young people(IPYG) and mothers(IWPG) will break through any difficulties ahead of us.

Mr. Man Hee Lee, the chairman of HWPL, said “What’s our goal? To end the global war. To achieve peace and make it an eternal legacy for future generations.

What did we say? We said, ‘We are one.’

I remember the days when we ran together hoping for one wish.
We shouldn’t just look at this global village. We need to achieve our goal, right?

Who would work on this? HWPL family should do it, right? It’s our mission. There’s nothing bigger than this.
Should the global village be destroyed by war? It shouldn’t happen. It is not love, but destruction. We have to love, right?
We all have to love like one body.

People usually like money and power, but what’s better than that is to achieve peace without war.
Without peace, no matter what we have achieved, everything will be destroyed.
Lastly, let’s talk about the one thing we promised and shout it out together. We are one! Thank you.”

The Pandemic prevented us from meeting, but we became more connected. It’s like a network of lights.

In fact, I want to say everything in the video one by one.
You can feel it and know it when you see it in person.
I wish I could feel the power of HWPL.

Peace is up to you :0 Good luck!

625 Korean War after 70 years

The Korean War was a war between North Korea and South Korea. The war began on 25 June 1950 when North Korea invaded South Korea.

At the end of World War II, the Soviet Union and the United States liberated Korea from imperial Japanese colonial control on 15 August 1945. But peace did not last five years, and countless people killed each other.

It is incomprehensible to think that both South and North Koreans suffered a great deal from Japanese colonialism. However, it is understandable to see that strong countries around the world have been playing politics over the Korean Peninsula.

Whose advantage is this? The people only die every time. What does it mean to them? A vain ideology? Who can repay the life?

  • Dates: Jun 25, 1950 – Jul 27, 1953
  • Total civilians killed: 2–3 million
  • South Korea: 990,968 killed/wounded
  • North Korea: 1,550,000 killed/wounded

Also, there were not a few cases of torture, atrocities, massacres and sexual assaults common in wars. There are many movies and books. Was there any happiness in it?

A STEP TOWARDS PEACE 625 Korean War after 70 years The Korean War Manheelee Korean war veteran 70 years 625 war

Dr. Victor Frankl says that even in that situation, one finds meaning in life. But war is all a tragedy. It’s just pain. Countless Korean War veterans testify. Who can compensate for the tragedy of war?

Mr. Man Hee Lee, a Korean War veteran, said the bullets and shells rained down, and they don’t know if their colleague was dead or alive. He couldn’t take off bloody military uniform. It was a tragedy of fratricidal conflict.

Why do we repeat tragedy? Someone might be trying to get a benefit. Is it a virtue that I live better than others? I won’t raise my child like this. I want to raise a child who can be ashamed of having a lot.

I wish I could become such a wonderful adult.

How Pope Francis reacts to COVID-19

A STEP TOWARDS PEACE How Pope Francis reacts to COVID-19 WE ARE ONE Vida Nueva Un plan para resucitar the antibodies of solidarity Pope Francis novel coronavirus Manheelee IMF HWPL Great Lockdown Gita Gopinath COVID-19

On April 17, Pope Francis shares his vision for Covid-19 aftermath in an exclusive meditation for Vida Nueva, the Spanish religious weekly, titled “Un plan para resucitar” which translates as “A plan to resurrect.”

What he said about the current situation is, “If there’s one thing we’ve been able to learn in all this time, it’s that no one is saved alone. Borders are falling, walls are crumbling and all fundamentalist discourses are dissolving before an almost imperceptible presence that shows the fragility of which we are made.”

The situation is worse than we thought. “The Great Lockdown is the worst economic downturn since the Great Depression, and far worse than the Global Financial Crisis [of 2008],” International Monetary Fund (IMF) Chief Economist Gita Gopinath said on the 14th of April.

Is there any way to overcome this situation? In such a crisis situation, the ability of the state or company to deal with the crisis is revealed.
In fact, we usually only think this way, but there’s actually one more.
It’s each one of us.

Francis wrote that the only way to conquer the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic is through “the antibodies of solidarity.” This antibody “will break all the fanaticism in which we had immersed ourselves and will allow us to feel ourselves to be the creators and protagonists of a common history and, thus, to respond jointly to so many ills that afflict millions of brothers around the world.”

Also he wrote, “If we act as one people, even in the face of the other epidemics that lie waiting for us, we can have a real impact.” I thought it was very similar to Man-hee Lee, the chairman of HWPL, who always shouted “We Are One!” His influence is powerful.

I think people who change the world think the same. All that remains now seems to be for us to practice those words. We can be cool enough. 🙂

The Reason Why We Think Peace Is Not Important

I was going to talk about the importance of peace, but I felt I didn’t have to mention it any more. Because we already know it too well.

In fact, this is out of the question of knowing. What is the problem?
First, say it clearly. This is neither your fault nor mine. It’s all our fault.

It is none of your business

Most of us are busy making ends meet. I am also busy living my life. We don’t have time to pay attention.

We have learned the word peace from textbooks and lectures. Also, we even donate to UNICEF or Doctors Without Borders. Get a job, have a family, and raise children. Get old with my spouse.

Our lives were not always happy, but moderately unhappy, sometimes happy. Ten years after my death, at least one person will remember me.

A STEP TOWARDS PEACE The Reason Why We Think Peace Is Not Important Why peace? The Reason Why We Think Peace Is Not Important Manheelee It's all our fault It is none of your business Importance of peace HWPL

There is very little room for peace in this general life. If there is any overlap of misfortunes, there is no more room. This is the reality.

No one can blame us for this reality

We don’t blame anyone else. We don’t call each other hypocrites.

Because we make up the majority of mankind. Compared to mankind as a whole, the people facing war are a minority.

We don’t have to worry every night that the bomb will blow up our house. We don’t have to worry about how to live after mom and dad die in the war.

So, we don’t think peace is important. No, we maybe think it’s important and we talk about importance of peace, but we usually live off the top of our head.

I’m sorry. This is real.
I don’t want to let a little girl in Syria know this reality.

Change actually takes a long time. But I know that the most substantial and short-lived peace organization has achieved great achievements. So, I’m also thinking about pinning my hopes on it this time.

This posting is just my opinion. I want to say that I really respect everyone who works hard and risking their lives for peace.

Thank you very much.

Sincerely,
Ming Taylor

How can Cameroon achieve peace?

First, we need a basic understanding of the country of Cameroon.

On December 2018, the United States assistant secretary of state for African affairs, Tibor Nagy, raised the issue of Cameroon as among the world’s most dire conflicts, stating: “I fear that [the crisis] could get much, much worse.”

The United Nations conservatively estimates that the ongoing conflict has killed more than 3 000 people and displaced nearly 700 000 more in the Anglophone regions, a staggering number that comprises about 20% of our country’s population. Most recently, on February 14, about two dozen villagers, including 14 children and a pregnant woman, were massacred in the village in the northwest region.

In fact, this is a really difficult problem. How many people died, and why did they die? The difference between ideology and thought… The resentment and anger of it do not go away. 🙁

We don’t need Violence and Weapons

A STEP TOWARDS PEACE How can Cameroon achieve peace? Tibor Nagy Peace education Maurice Kamto Manheelee Legislate Peace Campaign IWPG IPYG hwpl report hwpl profile HWPL FAQ HWPL Cameroon

So what the hell should we do? Should we just stay still? Should we turn away because we don’t know anything? What should never be done is the attitude of maintaining the status quo.

If you look at the reference article, I agree with Maurice Kamto, the president of the opposition Cameroon Renaissance Movement and a former political prisoner in Cameroon, in part.

His second plan is that the violence on both sides must end today. I totally agree with this. Talks cannot begin without the elimination of violence and weapons. Other than that, his arguments include building infrastructure like hospital schools, setting the stage for dialogue and reforming the election system.

It is a proposal that seems to be effective. But I thought this was not enough. I think “civil society” is the key. The bottom-up approach is more effective than the top-down one. And that power is incredibly powerful.

It was a international peace NGO called HWPL that showed me this powerful force. I thought it was impossible to achieve peace.

Imagine if you were a little girl in a town in Cameroon. Can we expect peace to be achieved? No, we live in anxiety every day. Then, we find a little happiness, and we will feel satisfied. We thought this was life. This is so tragic. But peace was not difficult, and furthermore it was not impossible.

HWPL brings people from all over the world together as ‘ONE.’ They shout from time to time, “WE ARE ONE! WE ARE ONE!” As if a powerful hurricane had passed, they establish a strong peace in the place that had passed. Voice of one is not enough to achieve peace, but voice as one is enough to do so.

Their plans are concrete and feasible. You can feel that it is the answer to peace. I recommend you to check for yourself.

I sincerely hope that peace will come to Cameroon.

Mali Parliament seeks a Path to Peace

Malian President Ibrahim Boubacar Keita recently said that his government was ready to hold talks with the main jihadist leaders in the country. (VoA)

“Why not try to contact those who we know are pulling the strings,” Keita told French media last week. “The number of deaths in the Sahel is becoming exponential. It’s time for certain avenues to be explored.”

The United Nations reported that the number of children killed in the conflict in the first six months of 2019 was twice as many for the entire year of 2018. Many of the children have been killed in inter communal attacks attributed to ethnic militias, with the majority of attacks occurring around Mopti.

A day ago, at least three Mali soldiers were killed and five wounded Sunday in a suspected jihadist attack. Also, other recent conflicts in West Africa caused several casualties.

Since this is a place where people know the importance of peace, there are also many people who seek the path to peace.

At the Mali parliament, 25 congressmen and 4 national executive officials gathered for the proclamation ceremony for the ‘Network of Parliamentarians for the Culture of Peace and the Cessation of Wars’. This meeting, held on December 21, 2019, was held to discuss spreading the culture of peace, eliminating unnecessary sacrifices caused by internal conflict and terrorism in Mali.

Aurora Celestin, the representative of HWPL France Branch, introduced the Global Declaration of Peace and Cessation of war (DPCW) as a solution to Mali’s existing conflict and poverty. As a result, the congressmen stressed that “DPCW is a legal document that is much needed in Mali” and that “the president, senior government officials and other congressmen will actively implement the contents of the DPCW in their country.”

Especially, Diarra Moussa, a member of the Parliament and the Presider of the meeting said, “Many are working for peace in Mali and there are many laws. However, implementation of the law had always been the problem. Therefore, there needs to be a solution like the DPCW to spread the culture of peace where people start to abide by the laws.”

Kane Babba Hama Sidy, a member of the Mali Parliament, who signed the DPCW Support Letter said, “It is the right time to establish this network, bearing in mind the current situation of Mali. It is time to work for peace,” emphasizing the act of spreading the culture of peace through DPCW.

If we try, we will surely be able to achieve the answer.
We can do it. We’ll make it.

Amazing Color of Turkey!!!

Turkey has a very diverse culture that is a blend of various elements of the Turkic, Anatolian, Ottoman and Western culture and traditions. Also, Turkey is not the only country in the world that is famous for its beautiful textiles, but only Turkey has Tulu, an amazing shop with a myriad of exceptionally colorful goods. Turkish culture is a product of efforts to be a “modern” Western state, while maintaining traditional religious and historical values.

The news of peace is also heard in Turkey, which is so beautiful.

Turkey was also performed simultaneously with similar events in many places in the world.

Stating the importance of DPCW, the Chairman Man Hee Lee said, “DPCW represents the will of global citizens. Societies want to be at peace and to live together in peace. This declaration advocates that everyone should build peace. The DPCW’s 10 articles and 38 clauses provide the basis for the peace of all world communities.”

In his biography, “I struggled to survive. The sounds of guns, cannons, jets, and bombs did not stop for one second. The heavens, the earth, and my heart trembled, and the sky was filled with smoke.” So the Chairman Lee is running really hard for Peace on the Korean Peninsula.
