HWPL Offical Video Review 1

This is the latest official HWPL video released 10 months ago. I want to summarize again and organize my thoughts after a long time.

What is HWPL to me? What is peace to you?

What is the percentage of peace in 24 hours a day?

To me, the meaning of HWPL seems like a kind of engine that makes me not stop. The engine is in a car, and I think our heart is a kind of engine.

The engine is the driving force that emits a strong force so that the car can move. If we don’t spew enormous amounts of blood from our hearts moment by moment, humans will collapse like dolls with broken threads.

I can’t even type on the keyboard right now. You can’t even eat. You can’t even work hard in a day.

I think peace is really important to anyone. Because safety is the basis of every life. We can’t enjoy our hobbies if it’s not safe. You can’t even surf.

You can’t eat delicious dinner with your lover. Because we could die soon. If there is no peace.

The HWPL is an organization that does a powerful job of peace. So I really like it. Even if no one recognizes them, they move with all their might. It’s really cool.

I support their move. Maybe forever.

With the proclamation of the declaration of world peace, on May 25th 2013 HWPL, the chairman Man Hee Lee, an NGO associated with the UN ECOSOC was established to create a world of peace, free of wars.

HWPL is carrying out peace initiatives in 170 countries around the world.

HWPL aims to develop a legal instrument that will ensure peace in the world so that people can live in harmony transcending borders, race and religion.

On March 14th 2016 the 10 articles and 38 clauses of the declaration of peace and cessation of war was proclaimed.

In May 2018 HWPL introduced the DPCW to the UN.
You can see the Chairman Lee Man-hee shouting strongly. I really admire his strong motivational abilities. He really is a man who can make peace.

Permanent representatives of 145 countries receiving the support from the international community the DPCW will be submitted to the UN in the form of a draft resolution.

Specifically, the governments of eswatini, seychelles, kamoros and antigua and Barbuda declared their official support for the DPCW.

I recommend watching the video in person! I’ll call it a day.

Peace Documentary “GREAT LEGACY” Highlight Review

Do you know a peace documentary? There are still quite a few people in the world who seek peace.

I really admire them. Because they endure things that are difficult for others to pursue easily. I think it’s more noble.

The peace documentary was very touching. As if it were not easy to see plants grow, I felt like I was watching peace bloom like a flower right next to me.

It’s a breakthrough in ending the 50-year bloody conflict in Mindanao, the Philippines

A procession of 10,000 people who filled a total distance of 19.9km is shouting.

Has the peace that men and women of all ages desperately shouted for come?

Mindanao Island in the southern Philippines.

The land where death was closer to life than to say, “When peace comes to Mindanao, world peace comes.”

The armed conflict between the Philippine government and Mindanao militants, which began with the “Massacre in Morocco” in the 1960s, has turned into a confrontation between Catholic and Islamic religions, killing 120,000 people over the past 50 years.

The peace documentary “The Great Legacy” captures the end of the conflict through HWPL’s movement that began in 2014 in Mindanao, Philippines.

In particular, the Philippine locals, who melted the weapons used in the civil war to create an HWPL peace monument and wished for peace on the divided Korean Peninsula, resonated with the hearts of the audience and applauded.

The film highlights the HWPL civilian peace agreement ceremony held in Mindanao General Santos City, Philippines on January 24, 2014.

The Chairman Lee Man-hee brought together leaders and locals from both sides who were at the center of the Mindanao conflict. He asked them to raise their hands if they wanted peace, and when all the participants raised their hands, Lee led the two leaders to sign for peace.

Upon hearing the news of the peace agreement, government forces and the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) finally agreed on the final annex of the preliminary peace agreement on January 25, and the civil war was effectively ended with the signing of the Comprehensive Agreement on the Bangsamoro (CAB) in March 2014.

The Chairman Lee Man-hee said “We are a family of peace that will achieve peace born in this era. Do you want conflict or peace?”

All people shouted “PEACE!”

HWPL’s sincere efforts and the Chairman Lee’s sincerity made a dramatic peace, which was considered a challenge that could never be solved.

It’s a dangerous place for terrorism and accidental danger. The situation in the Philippines is not easy to push ahead with work among soldiers with guns. Even in such a place, not everyone can risk death to enter. I was really touched by this.

One field participant said, “The first overseas volunteer destination I went to was the Philippines, and I personally found it fascinating to see the first scene people cheering. Since our country is a divided country, we should be more interested in peace than anyone else.

But I really felt that Filipinos are more interested in peace activities than anyone else. After watching this preview, I felt that peace was really coming, so I thought about various activities, including small things and talking about joining together.”

The miracle of peace achieved by everyone being united is recorded as a “great legacy” in later generations. I hope we can all be messengers of peace.

My First Pad Drawing with 525 Peace Walk

It’s my first time drawing it, and I’m so proud.

I’ve often thought about wanting to draw with a pad, but I put it into practice in 5 months!

I copied this! Actually, anyone can do it. Because you can just draw it on top of it!

I started drawing because I didn’t want to forget this moment of peace. People forget too easily. I don’t remember who I met a month ago and what I had for lunch a week ago.

I think I am now participating in the process of achieving great peace. Something seems to be taking part in a huge flow.

Do you know what Alfred Adler calls a sense of community? It’s like I feel it.

And thank you HWPL for making me feel it. If I do the smallest things I can do, there will be enormous peace.

I also drew a dpcw key ring. It was a little difficult but fun.

It often appears as a subject in movies. There has never been a movie in which their deaths were not sad. And the sadness is entirely up to the comrades and their families.

From 43 seconds of the video, there is a tremendous scene.

It is an unprecedented story in the history of Philippines. Aren’t there so many people standing on the street? To be honest, I was very surprised.

There are so many people who want peace! What were they told to come out on the street? What kind of expectations?

The documentary will show the story of 2054 days in Mindanao, where the war was stopped and peace was realized.

This is a record of HWPL and the Chairman Lee Man-hee’s movement.

There are still people walking for peace. What is their motive?

Is your hobby walking? A person who walks more than 30 minutes a day is definitely more likely to be healthy.
It can absorb vitamin D, makes you feel much better, and helps with blood circulation.

I think each person has a different reason to walk.
Someone walks for health, someone for enlightenment, and someone to shake off negative emotions.

There are people walking for peace right here.
As one of the peace lovers, I’m also walking, pondering why they walk.

On May 25 this year, people started walking offline again. I’ve been interested in the people of hwpl for a long time, they proceeded online during the COVID-19.

I’ve seen countless people in Santiago walking for their own enlightenment, someone for sightseeing.
But many of the people walking for peace seem to be hwpl people.

There are so many pictures of them on the blog so far. Sometimes when I look back at the gallery, it’s even touching.

Why on earth do they walk? What drives them?

Why do people in HWPL get together especially more often?
I think it is because there is a centripetal force that strongly gathers them.

I think it is because there is the chairman Lee Man-hee, a soldier who experienced the Korean War and shouted for peace while touring around the world more than 30 times, and he tries to achieve peace without a break even at the age of 90.

If someone like the chairman lee man-hee takes the lead, can you stay still? How passionate he is!

If you have a chance someday, I hope you listen to him. There is a powerful force in what he says.

You can hear it here. I think it is best to experience peace in person. If you don’t experience it in a small moment in your daily life, I think you can never achieve the peace that is ideally expressed.

My hobby is taking a walk, so I walk again today. It feels good to walk while thinking about whether it is a walk for peace.

525 Peace Walk : The Power of Restarted Offline Walking

What do you think is a peace walk?
“HWPL’s 10th Annual Commemoration of the Declaration of World Peace and the Peace Walk” is organized in 89 locations across 59 countries in May.

When do we think of peace in our daily lives? I get up in the morning, do morning routines, and have a simple breakfast. When I go to work and take care of my backlog, lunch time is approaching.

After saying anything with my colleagues, I work again in the afternoon. I have a dinner appointment, so I enjoy my meal, go to the gym, or run in the park. I come back home, read, do night routine, and then go to sleep.

There is no room for peace here. Isn’t this our daily life?
Shouldn’t we need a way to make peace even a little bit once a year, once every six months, even once a month?

In that way, peace events and peace walking are really great ways!

525 Peace Walk has begun!

On May 25, 5,000 participants were gathered at the Peace Gate of Seoul Olympic Park in South Korea, and other thousands of individuals around the world, including France, the United States, China, Japan, Australia, and Germany, are expected to join the events until the end of this month.

What is peace? I don’t think it’s a bad idea to take a descriptive test. Like Baccalaureate in France!

Baccalaureate can describe his thoughts on important human problems for hours. The whole nation is interested in this year’s problems and there is a culture of expressing their opinions.

In the event, the “Joint Statement of the 10th Anniversary of the Declaration of World Peace” was unveiled.

The statement said that the Declaration developed into the “Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War” (DPCW) to pursue “a transition from the rule of power to the rule of law” based on principles of “democracy, justice, civil liberties and equality, religious freedom and responsibility.”

Through the joint statement, HWPL and participating organizations affirmed their commitment to institutionalizing peace through international cooperation, aligning with the UN Sustainable Development Goal 16 “Peace, justice and strong institutions.”

I’m also very interested in SDGs! Isn’t it so cool? The sight of humanity working together to achieve their goals!

Actually, there are many shortcomings in reality, but I think it would be good if we put our hearts together and work together! How can we do that? It’s definitely possible if we all make up our minds.

Recalling HWPL’s peace activities for the past 10 years, Chairman Lee Man-hee said, “Since we pledged to work together for world peace 10 years ago, we have been calling for peace all over the world. We have advocated that peace should be taught at home and at school, and that everyone should become messengers of peace. I went to the battlefield in Mindanao, Philippines to raise the voice of peace and we were promised not to begin war again.”

He also emphasized, “Everyone should be one under the title of peace and work together to create a good world and make it a legacy for future generations. This is what we need to do in this era in which we live.”

Since the pandemic, the peace walk, which has been conducted only online to comply with each country’s quarantine guidelines, will be held offline again.

What is peace? I don’t think it’s that grand.

In fact, I think there are things from the biggest to the smallest between people who can practice right now.

I think it’s trust. Trust is more important than anything. And it takes a long time and it doesn’t.

Why don’t people trust each other? How can I build trust? Where is the way we can take a step forward?

The HWPL’s 7th Annual Commemoration of the Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War (DPCW) was held in March 2023 to establish peace in the global community.

HWPL’s personnel from all walks of life gather to prevent, mediate, and resolve global disputes under the theme of ‘Institutional Peace: Strengthening Communication to Build Trust’

While many disputes are still brewing around the world, the main event of the ceremony marks the seventh anniversary of the DPCW’s announcement and shed light on HWPL’s various peace activities and peace institutionalization projects.

1st National Peace Convention : peace quotes

In the Philippines, the 1st National Peace Convention was held on January 25, 2023 with the theme, “Peace Builds One Nation, One Future: Peace is Here”, attended by over 1,500 peace advocates.

The project was spearheaded by the Rotary Club of Manila Metro (RCMM), in collaboration with a South Korea-based organization, Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light (HWPL).

Dr. Ronald Adamat, Commissioner of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) and Founding Chairman of Volunteer Individuals for Peace (VIP), spearheaded the event.

“We want peace to reign in our country. We want peace to be the language everyone of us will speak and every Filipino and every foreigner will understand. Today, let’s declare peace as a pandemic. Infect people not to rest in peace but to live in peace,” said Dr. Adamat.

In attendance also is HWPL Chairman Lee Man-hee from South Korea who is visiting the Philippines for the 11th time. He said, “As I have toured the world 32 times and talked about the cessation of war as we have to leave a land of peace as a legacy for the future generation, and this country, the Philippines, is showing this. Let’s do everything we can to do the work of peace.”

“Peacebuilding in Mindanao after conflict is becoming known worldwide. This is the case of transforming death into life for peace. Starting with Mindanao and the Philippines, when we unite in love, peace will come to our world. For this reason, everyone in the Philippines has to become one and work together as messengers of peace,” said Chairman Lee.

The five resolutions were consolidated during the second Plenary Session to call for President Bongbong Marcos to proclaim January 24 as ‘National Peace Day’ or “Truce Day”.

I am grateful that there are still people doing the work of peace. Even if it’s hard and difficult, I hope you don’t lose your strength and keep going. 🙂

Mindanao is geographically home to 13 ethnic groups.
The Mindanao conflict dates back 40 years.
The conflict arises in the Philippines when Moro people are reduced to a minority.

Many people suffered from prolonged conflicts between Moro and Christians in southern Mindanao. So the Moros formed a group for independence in southern Mindanao. That’s how the Moro-Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) was created.

There were 120,000 casualties in Mindanao over 50 years. After 20 years of negotiations with the Philippine government, the civil war ended.
Motive for that was the Civil Peace Agreement on January 24, 2014.

To commemorate this, they built a peace memorial inside the MILF, designated January 24 as Peace Day, and continued to attend the Peaceful Conference of HWPL.

The process of continuing the ongoing and practical efforts for peace was not easy, but they really tried hard to make it. In the process, they thanked HWPL and Chairman Man-hee Lee for leading the world peace movement.

The Chairman Lee said, “We are transcending borders, races, and religions for the end of war and peace in the global village. Just as the light, rain and air in the sky give life to many people, we are trying to make peace happen to everyone.”

“We are a family of peace born in this era and making peace. Do you want conflict or peace?”

There was a special event in Cotabato City, where the third peace memorial was erected. One of the combatants returned the weapon, melted it, made a globe, and decorated it on the monument.

Most of the former fighters said they would farm or run small businesses. They are looking forward to spending more time with their families and moving away from the familiar fights.

In each session of the 1st National Peace Convention, there will be speeches followed by an open forum to produce a resolution from each sector group.

These resolutions will be consolidated into one which will be presented to the President during the second plenary session.

The event is organized and spearheaded by the Volunteer Individuals for Peace (VIP), a local peace organization chaired by Dr. Ronald Adamat, Commissioner of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED).

Through the partnership of VIP and CHED with HWPL, the introduction of peace education at the national level and collaboration of peace activities at the international level have been pursued.

I am sure that today’s event will be of great help in achieving peace in the Philippines. We’re going to join the music festival!
