WARP Offices are held regularly at the 216 sites spread over 123 countries (by June 3rd, 2017). Why is WARP Office needed? Let’s find the reason.

Why Youth?

In particular, in conflict areas such as Iraq, Palestine and Afghanistan, young people and citizens is holding a peace walk with an earnest will to realize peace amid terrorism and war.

The Declaration of world peace, which was proclaimed on May 25, 2013 by HWPL, has called for the youth of the world to become the messenger of peace. Also, it suggests that we need the international law (DPCW) that can end the war. Why youth? The youth is the biggest victims of the war.

World alliance of religions and peace(WARP) Office is founded to achieve Article 8 of DPCW, ‘Freedom of Religion’. Religious leaders should take the lead in fostering harmony among religions through the WARP Offices established in various parts of the world. The alliance of religions is the earnest hope of all humanity. It is called by an ‘Innovative Approach‘ to Religious Dialogue. The key point is ‘Scriptural texts‘ of each religion. The WARP Office aim to prevent the conflicts caused by religious misunderstandings. They are marching to peace teaching each scripture of religion. In the short three years, the WARP Offices have seen rapid expansion with 218 offices now operating in 126 countries. I believe they can really achieve peace. 🙂

When I was in Korea, I could not hear much about HWPL, but I could hear a lot in Australia. I think it is because HWPL is an international NGO. It was really nice enhance their national prestige without showing off their pride. It is a pity why Koreans do not know this. This is how our relationship began. After that, I became a fan.

Starting on 14 March, 2018 in Seoul, Korea, 2nd Anniversary of the Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War (DPCW) was commemorated in 166 cities of 71 countries in succession. Approximately 110,000 participants appealed with one voice that every global citizen should become a messenger of peace as the duty of our time. And 630 events of Legislate peace campaign was held in 176 countries with over 1 million participants.

‘Pan-European Peace Forum’ was held in Frankfurt. For peaceful reunification of the Korean Peninsula! Recalling the small gatherings in Leipzig that sparked peaceful demonstrations for Germany’s reunification, Dr. Manfred F. Welker(Frankfurt city council member) said what will bring two Koreas together is “not just government cooperation but – as we have seen from Nikolaikirche – it will be by the collaboration and efforts of the people.” President of International Progress Organization, Professor Dr Hans Köchler from Austria, said “Reunified Korea will be the best security guarantee to both the North and the South.”

During the 4-days workshop scheduled from May 4th to 7th, 11 dispatched officials participate in ‘Peace Educators Workshop’ on the theme of ‘Spread love and peace in Indonesia’. I participated in this event last year. There were so many young people who were passionate and healthy. There was a young man. I saw him cry. He said that the situation in his country is very grave. His brother was already in the grave. He said it was so unfair and hurtful. “Why should young people die? Is the war really for our country? I don’t know…” This word is most memorable to me. Now I want to ask. Why should we walk?
