The Flower of Peace has bloomed in India

Is India peaceful?

India is the country of the oldest religions of the world. It was home to many great Saints, yogis and high minded people from the ancient time. All religions preach Peace. So, Religiously, India is a peace loving nation.

But now, India’s rank has slipped five places to 141 among 163 countries on the Global Peace Index 2019. India, the US, China, Saudi Arabia, and Russia are the top five countries with the largest total military expenditure. Also, the score for internal conflicts fought had the highest rating at five in both India and Pakistan.

Peace most important:
India after Iran warns of revenge on US for Soleimani death

India is on the brink of disaster. Increase in tensions had alarmed the world. “Peace, stability and security in this region (are) of utmost importance to India,” the External Affairs Ministry said. Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei warned that a “harsh retaliation is waiting” for the US.

Hundreds of people in Tehran, the capital of Iran, shout slogans against the United States as they stage a demonstration in the Muslim-majority region. “The axis of any evil in America, the motto of religion and the Koran is death to America,” they said in unison.

Even under these circumstances, there have always been people who strive for peace.

In 2014, Dr. Bharti Gandhi attended the HWPL World Peace Summit and signed the World Alliance of Religions Agreement as a representative Bahaism. Since then, she has been actively working and cooperating with HWPL.

On the 16th World Peace Tour, HWPL Chairman Man Hee Lee attended the International Conference of Chief Justices of the World held in the City Montessori School of India, a school ran by Dr. Bharti Gandhi and her husband, Dr. Jagdish Gandhi. Chairman Lee has been maintaining a close relationship with them for peace.

In 2018, the City Montessori School signed an MOU with HWPL for Peace Education, and they began to implement HWPL’s Peace Education which marked the beginning of a new phase in their peace work.

In 2019, about 4,000 students from the City Montessori School organized the Legislate Peace project which supports the Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War (DPCW), and many HWPL members were in attendance. The City Montessori School asked HWPL to teach them how to embody the spirit of peace culture and cultural performances; afterward, the school’s staff visited South Korea and learned about the cultural performances of the World Peace Summit.

In 2019, the 20th International Conference of Chief Justices of the World was held in the City Montessori School from November 6 to 12. The City Montessori School learned how to organize a World Peace Summit parade and held a cultural performance of peace. Greatly impressed and inspired by the performance, chief justices and political leaders were introduced to HWPL and the DPCW, and they promised to take part in HWPL’s peace movement. The culture of peace, which gathered the hearts of distinguished leaders around the world as one, proved that it is the answer to achieve peace.

At this event, religious leaders of Buddhism, Hinduism, the Catholic Church, Islam, Jainism, Sikhism, and Bahaism from Lucknow attended and discussed the issue of peace and harmony among religions.

Dr. Jagdish Gandhi, the Founder of the City Montessori School, notably emphasized that all religions are one. The presider was Mr. Manu Singh, the Chairman of Sarva Dharma Samvaad, and religious leaders from each religious group signed the World Alliance of Religions Agreement.

Hong Kong Peace Puppetry Workshop

Do you know the Koolamundo?

She is Kimberley Kleczka, Author, Radio Presenter, Songwriter, and Entertainer. Many years ago, she thought about developing a character that could help educate and entertain the children and youth of the world.

“My goal is to teach children about other cultures, languages, food, nature and life lessons and provide cool information and facts about the amazing world we live in.” – Kimberley Kleczka

What does Koolamundo mean? Let’s break it down for you… Koola = Kool (as in “cool dude”) +Mundo = World in Spanish. Together you get my tagline, “It’s a Kool World.”

On October 20th, the Peace Puppetry Workshop was hosted by St. Barnabas Society and Home in Hong Kong, where the conflict on freedom and human rights is becoming more intense. Twenty-nine people attended the event, including children, the founder of Koolamundo, and a University of Hong Kong graduate student, who was a project volunteer.

Mengxia Gao, a University of Hong Kong graduate student who was in charge of the play, said she was impressed by the event and that it was a wonderful opportunity for children to learn about peace while playing. Kimberley Kleczka, the founder of Koolamundo, mentioned that “The play was meaningful since it helps to understand the moral instructions behind the story.”

Peace Building in South Sudan

The country has been locked in conflict since 2013 when President Salva Kiir fired his then Vice-President Riek Machar. A peace deal signed in September 2018 has never been implemented. In the five years of conflict, nearly 400,000 people have been killed and more than four million have fled the country. Will peace come to South Sudan like magic?

The True Story of HWPL in Tunisia

Is the Tunisia peaceful?

Tunisia is a North African country bordering the Mediterranean Sea and Sahara Desert. The FCO says: “Terrorists are still very likely to try to carry out attacks in Tunisia. Security forces remain on a high state of alert in Tunis and other places. You should be vigilant at all times, including around religious sites and festivals.”

Conflicts of Republic of Tunisia

  • Bizerte crisis (July 19, 1961 — July 23, 1961)
  • Tunisian revolution (December 18, 2010 — January 14, 2011)
  • ISIL insurgency in Tunisia (June 26, 2015 — ongoing)

On 27 June 2019, two suicide blasts took place in Tunis, the capital of Tunisia. The first explosion on Thursday involved a suicide bomber who targeted a police patrol on Tunis’s central Charles de Gaulle Street. One police officer was killed, while another was wounded as well as three civilians, according to the interior ministry. In total, 127–173 were killed and 84–126 were wounded.

What is ISIL (ISIS, IS)?

The Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) is also known as the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) and officially known as the Islamic State (IS). They are under a lot of criticism. The UN estimated that 5,000 Yazidis were killed by ISIL during the takeover of parts of northern Iraq in August 2014. The problem of child soldiers, sexual violence and slavery is so serious. In 2018, Nadia Murad (Yazidi girl) awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for “their efforts to end the use of sexual violence as a weapon of war and armed conflict”.

In late December 2015, nearly 70,000 Indian Muslim clerics associated with the Indian Barelvi movement issued a fatwa condemning ISIL and similar organisations, saying they are “not Islamic organisations”. Approximately 1.5 million Sunni Muslim followers of this movement have formally decried violent extremists. Regardless of religious beliefs, human rights violations are too serious.

I’ve been a fan of HWPL. When I heard that the true story book was coming out, I expected a lot and I really wanted to see it. In fact, I looked at it all at once, but I didn’t know the time was passing.

Numerous photos and the names of world leaders have convinced us that peace can be achieved. When I read their words one by one, I think that those who are not with HWPL in this work of peace want war. Short-term achievements will be unrivaled.

This book is not about what has passed, but it is about the present reality and not just a picture book. This book contains the work of peace the seven peace messengers (HWPL, IWPG, IPYG) have done throughout the world.

In this book, you will see some of the people that they have met, what work they did, what the results were, and what they will be doing. You will also see how politicians, members of society, and religious people responded to their work. Additionally, you will see what the possibilities of peace, cessation of war, and alliance of religions are, how each school in each country reacted, and what the media reports are.

It will also show the activities of the messengers of peace and how each nation is accepting it. I would like to ask those who read this book: if you experience certain feelings, needs, or feel that there are some things you want to change, please send them an e-mail. Peace One Day and HWPL Everyday

On 29 May 2019, the 6th Annual Commemoration of the Declaration of World Peace and the Peace Walk took place at Ecole Fondamentale Lafia De Kalaban-Koro in Bamako, Mali. The event was hosted by the International Peace Youth Group (IPYG) and supported by a peace advocate group called Peace One Day. Leaders from various sectors, including government and NGO and more than 300 youth, participated in the event.

The Peace Walk event was hosted for the first time in Mali and it filled the hearts of the youth and event participants with an overwhelming sense of hope. Due to the recent breakout of civil war in Mali few months ago, Malian people have been in urgent need of peace. Afterwards, those students had an opportunity to write their own peace letters. A total of 85 hand-written peace letters are to be sent to the president of Mali, together with other hand-written peace letters.

Let’s find out about Peace One Day who helped HWPL.

Peace One Day is a non-profit organisation that was founded in 1999. In 2001 the member states of the United Nations unanimously adopted the first ever annual day of “global ceasefire and non-violence” on 21 September – Peace Day. Since 2001, Peace One Day’s objective is making it a day that is “self-sustaining”, an annual day of “global unity”, a day of “intercultural cooperation on an unprecedented scale.”

UN GA Resolution – A/RES/55/282 / Peace One Day

The founder is an actor turned filmmaker Jeremy Gilley. After a carrer as an actor, Jeremy began making films in 1995 and in 1999. And making a movie was a big boost to Peace One Day. In 1998, Gilley began to make the Peace One Day documentary, eventually deciding to aim for a UN resolution formalising the idea. This goal was reached in 2001. In 2004, the Peace One Day documentary premiered at the Edinburgh International Film Festival (EIFF) and the BBC.

He and his friends, who had nothing at first, recklessly wrote letters. He said “And we wrote to heads of state, their ambassadors, Nobel Peace laureates, NGOs, faiths, various organizations — literally wrote to everybody. And I remember the first letter. One of the first letters was from the Dalai Lama, saying ‘This is an amazing thing. Come and see me. I’d love to talk to you about the first ever day of peace.'”

That’s how it continued to evolve and results began to emerge. In Afghanistan, 70% reduction in violent incidents was recorded by United Nations Department of Safety and Security on Peace Day 2008. In 2016, after several years work with global management consulting firm McKinsey & Company, it was estimated that 2.2 billion people had been exposed to the Peace Day message, that 940 million were aware of the day and that 16 million behaved more peacefully as a result. It’s a brilliant idea and has a distinct ripple effect. But there is an international peace NGO that has developed this a little bit.

Global ceasefire & Non-violence Everyday

“The Complete End of War and Eternal Peace”It is the goal of the HWPL. Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light (HWPL) is affiliated with the UN ECOSOC and the UN DGC. And International Peace Youth Group (IPYG) is its youth organization. In order to achieve its goal, HWPL is trying every year, with a higher growth rate than any other peace organization. Experts and journalists evaluate HWPL as a practical and powerful organization.

On May 25th, “6th Annual Commemoration of the Declaration of World Peace and the Peace Walk” was held at about 126 places in 77 countries around the world including Australia, China, Germany, India, Russia, South Africa, the Philippines, and United States of America. These millions of people gathered to urge Support for the Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War (DPCW). It is the HWPL‘s most groundbreaking answer to peace.

Introduction of the DPCW to the UN

What is the problem of existing international law? It is not legally binding and it is allowing war in part. So 21 prominent international law experts from 15 different countries made 10 articles and 38 clauses of the DPCW. DPCW has only been proclaimed for three years, but it’s been a startling development of national and global support for citizens around the world.

It has received formal support from the Pan-African Parliament, the Council of Ministers of the Pacific Islands, the Central American Parliament (PARLACEN), and the former presidents of Eastern Europe, as well as MOUs and official documents. Also, when the Chairman Man Hee Lee introduced the DPCW at UN headquarters, delegates from 145 countries gave a standing ovation.

From a civil society perspective, more than 1.3 million citizens around the world support DPCW with signatures and IPYG Peace Letter Campaign. On March 14, citizens from all over the world wrote more than 200,000 letters of peace and sent them to presidents and prime ministers of 192 countries to urge the need for DPCW and support from countries. And the media from around the world reported it extensively, and the world cheered when they heard the news.

In my personal view, every peace organization seems to be absolutely wonderful. Wouldn’t world peace be too easy if all the world’s peace organizations were united, regardless of their own interests? But the core will be needed. I’m sure it’s HWPL that has the power to bring everyone together. We Are One!

If something happened in 126 places in 77 countries around the world, what would you do? Aren’t you curious? What is going to happen to people? What if the reason they’re gathering that isn’t making money, and it’s really personal? The reason is “PEACE.” Can you believe it’s just that?

That means there are so many people who want peace. Looking around now, no one wants a war. But the majority of people live their daily lives. They are the ones who realize that the world is too big and doesn’t move my way.

As we grow up, everyone seems to be like this. When I was a teenager, I thought I could do everything, but when I became an adult, I put it down one by one. Increasingly, I realize that there is less I can do. Those who are at their disposal are only the top few percent. It’s not a pity. They just live their lives in their own way.

But there are those who realize that one voice has no power, but one voice that has become one has enormous power. HWPL Australia held the first one-of-a-kind Peace Festival at Centenary Square, in Parramatta.

This tweet is mine. I often look for news of peace, of which HWPL stands out and I frequently tweets. Have you ever wondered what is HWPL?

First of all, HWPL is considered the most powerful and practical international NGO. Their short-term achievements are truly remarkable. That’s because HWPL risked his life.

Why? How can?
Let’s find out.

What is HWPL?

Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light (HWPL) means to achieve world peace through heavenly culture and restore light. With the purpose of restoring the global community that has been suffering due to wars and conflicts, HWPL wants to go beyond the barriers of culture, religion and beliefs, to respect the core values of peace and life. All individuals, as the messengers of peace, are working together to make a world of SDGs and DPCW.

HWPL, the host of this event, is a peace NGO in Special Consultative Status with the UN ECOSOC and associated with the Seoul Metropolitan Government and the UN DGC. For the purpose of ceasing all wars and creating a peaceful world as a legacy for future generations, HWPL is building a global peace network. This network includes the HWPL International Law Peace Committee made up of international law experts, 192 members of the HWPL Peace Advisory Council made up of political and community leaders, and 556 HWPL Publicity Ambassadors made up of religious leaders and experts in education and media.

They are gathering the support of the civil society. 1.8 billion Youth and 3.7 billion Women are the main character.

Cambodia is located in Southeast Asia, bordering Laos, Thailand, and Vietnam. Cambodia is famous for the Angkor Wat temple, that have built for Hindu religion during Khmer Empire. (officially the Angkor Empire) Now, the temple is part of Angkor World Heritage Site and is considered one of the Seven Wonders of the world. At its peak, the Khmer empire (802-1431) covered much of what today is Cambodia, Thailand, Laos, and southern Vietnam.

However, there was a great tragedy in this flourishing culture. The Cambodian Killing Fields (Khmer: វាលពិឃាត) are a number of sites in Cambodia where collectively more than a million people were killed and buried by the Khmer Rouge regime, during its rule of the country from 1975 to 1979, immediately after the end of the Cambodian Civil War.

The killing fields document death. From 1975 to 1979, Pol Pot and his Khmer Rouge soldiers killed 1.7 million Cambodians, or 21 percent of the population, according to Yale University’s Cambodia Genocide Program. Maybe, it is the reason why the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport (MoEYS) signed a MoU with HWPL to introduce Peace education nationwide and develop relevant policies and programs.

How did Cambodian Genocide end?

The Fall of the Republic of Democratic Kampuchea. On December 25, 1978, Vietnam launched a full-scale invasion of Cambodia and on January 7, 1979, Phnom Penh fell and Pol Pot was deposed.

What was the purpose of the Cambodian Genocide?

Ideology. Ideology played an important role in the genocide. Pol Pot and the Khmer Rouge aimed to bring Cambodia back to its “mythic past” of the Powerful Khmer Empire, to stop corrupting influences like foreign aid and western culture, and to restore the country to an agrarian society.

HWPL is currently moving forward with a worldwide influence to bring DPCW, a new international law, to the United Nations. DPCW is a definte answer to peace that can end the war. Created by 21 international law experts, it is recognized not only sophisticated, but also it is aligned with UN Charter and SDGs.

The news of peace will continue to be heard. 🙂 I’m really looking forward to the 30th world peace tour. Because the 29th world peace tour has achieved tremendous results. You can see other postings.

HWPL Philippine Peacebuilding Story

In this difficult situation, it is unusual for 30,000 people to get together for peace. This is possible because of Commission on Higher Education(CHED) of the Philippine government‘s many efforts. On January 23, 2018, The CHED signed a MOA on peace education with an international peace organization, HWPL affiliated with the UN ECOSOC. The CHED is planning to integrate peace education in the curriculum of state universities and colleges (SUCs). As a result, 164 schools in 12 countries have signed MOUs with HWPL.

Commissioner Ronald L. Adamat of the CHED, who proposed MOA to HWPL, expressed hope for HWPL peace education by saying “Children easily imitate war through toys like war weapons, but they don’t know how to play and imitate peace. Promoting peace education through the CHED will affect many Philippine educational institutions and play a crucial role in promoting peace in the Philippines.”

Also, Philippine Mindanao Peacebuilding Story is an unforgettable historical event in 2014. It also marks the 14th of March as the ‘HWPL Day’. On January 24, 2016, the second HWPL peace monument was established at the heart of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) base camp. From this point of view, HWPL’s contributions to Peacebuilding in the Philippines are enormous.

Back to a grand peace festival on February 8th. With the Philippines’ referendum, this event will be expected to serve as a stepping stone for solving the remaining challenges.

“The highlight of this peace event is to give inspiration of citizen participation in peacebuilding. Cultural performances will represent harmony under peace beyond differences in ethnicity, religion or nationality. Also, the principles of HWPL Philippine Peacebuilding with civic participation and national support will be introduced – the Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War (DPCW),” said Mr. Ian Seo, General Director, Department of Public Relations, HWPL.

One student of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines participating in a peace lecture, said “It was very impressive that we, students, could also be a part of the peace movement. Chairman Lee has already shown that many students around the world are working for peace. I want to take part in the peace activities of HWPL.”

I’m really looking forward to the 30th world peace tour. I am even more excited when I consider the great achievements of the 29th world peace tour of HWPL. Everything is up to you! Please become the messengers of peace.
