It also stressed the importance of cooperation from major regional partners, including Australia, in order to achieve substantial results in the upcoming negotiations.

In response, Deputy Maude said, “We expect the Panmunjeom Declaration and the North-Korea USA Summit to be implemented as soon as possible, while supporting the Korean government’s efforts to develop a complete denuclearization and a permanent peace regime.”

North Korean Nuclear Issue can not be the subject of bargaining

The Australian Foreign Minister Julie Bishop said, “Even now North Korea should show the truth and reality of its denuclearization commitments.” and stressed that “Until North Korea takes verifiable, complete and irreversible denuclearization steps, economic and diplomatic pressures from the United States, Australia and the international community will continue to be maximized.”

The Australian Secretary of Defense Christopher Pyne pointed, “Denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula is a top priority for both the United States and Australia, and the denuclearization defined by North Korea is not a measure entirely corresponding to our national interests. This is possible only when the North has sincerity.”

This day, President Donald Trump earlier sent an official letter to North Korean leader Kim Jong Un to cancel the summit. President Trump said he knew the anger and public hostility of North Korea’s recent remarks. Especially, he said “You’re talking about your nuclear capability” but “I pray to God that that (our nuclear capability) will never be used because we are so strong and powerful” This was a warning remark.

Some say that North Korea is the winner, the U.S. is the loser&winner, and South Korea is the loser. However it is clear that the Moon Jae-in is the midwife of the North-Korea USA Summit in many ways. Mr. Moon persuaded Chairman Kim to engage himself in dialogue with the U.S. President Moon persuaded Chairman Kim to engage himself in dialogue with the U.S. By turning all the credit to President Trump, Mr. Moon made him an active participant in the North-Korea USA Summit. Bill Clinton, former president of the United States assessed it “Moon Jae-in the president is a true hero”. In the process, President Moon left a famous saying in Korean diplomatic history that “the Nobel Peace Prize is for Trump and we only need to bring peace.”

Rory Medcalf, the president of the Australian National University said, “we think we need to make every effort to attract North Korea to a legal-based order.” He added, “If someone has to play an additional role in communicating with North Korea (with the U.S. etc.), Australia may be a potential country to do so.”

Peter Jennings, the executive director of the Australian Strategic Policy Institute (ASPI), said in interview “we believe that the possibility of CVID (a complete, verifiable and irreversible denuclearization) of North Korea is low” and claimed “the North Korea does not conduct any missile or nuclear tests, but it still develops nuclear capability.”

At the same time, he added, “we need to build a reliable management mechanism in the DMZ (Demilitarized Zone) by increasing communication and contact with North Korea.”

The problem is a credible follow-up measure. Action should be taken to build trust. This agreement could bear fruit if North Korea and the United States continue to engage in direct talks, build trust one by one, and establish liaison offices in Pyongyang and Washington in the near future.

When this happens, we believe that it will be a great blessing for all mankind beyond the Korean Peninsula. Former East Germany Prime Minister Lothar de Maizière, who achieved reunification, said that “Reunification was the will of heaven. It happens like a miracle when human endeavor is met with internal and external conditions.” The unification of the Korean Peninsula will be natural, if people’s aspirations and the meaning of heaven are gathering, just like East and West Germany. If so, it is the duty of leaders of religion and politics to move the minds of the world toward reunification.

The PSCSC, which brings together senior Police students from across Africa, offers a Masters of Arts in Peace Studies and Conflict Transformation.

This year, Theme of the Sixth PSCSC: “Mainstreaming Human Security in the New Security Landscape: A Holistic Approach to Sustainable Peace and Development.”

And It would be great if the participants could learn practical things. If so, I would recommend HWPL. They’re growing incredibly and fast. The objectives of HWPL is to end war. You can think ‘Is it possible?’. But you can understand when you see the leader’s cry and their movement. HWPL‘s 3 core Peace initiatives are Law for Peace, Alliance of Religions and Peace Education. There are a lot of posts on my post, so you can look for them. If you really love peace, you will cooperate. Because HWPL has really strong power. And currently peace education made as teaching materials will provide substantial & practical learning for more students.

“Many leaders in many parts of the world showed their support for peaceful unification of Korea. We received ‘peace letters‘ that support the idea from students and youth in the countries we visited. It is to be followed by the highly anticipated North Korea-US summit. In Sweden, there is also peace movement by Korean international NGO. On May 14, the Religious Leaders Conference was held with participants from Buddhism, Christianity, Islam and Hinduism. Its purpose is to discuss the further development of inter-religious dialogues for peace-building.

It can be “bridge-builders of peace”

“Everything that religious leaders discuss at the WARP Office must clearly be based on what is written in the scripture, which needs to be comprehensively analyzed and studied for the true alliance of religions. We have to gather all religious scriptures and work to define a trustworthy scripture with a legitimate standard. The word is invisible, but it does a lot of work. Scriptures play a significant role in the alliance of religions,” said Chairman Lee.

Starting with Cambodia in April of last year, the camp was later held in India, Lithuania, Myanmar, and the Netherlands to assist the youth in learning about the culture and spirit of different religions.

It is to recall the history of peaceful exchanges between Korea and Sweden, from the time when the Swedish Red Cross Field Hospital was dispatched during the 1950s Korean War to the Neutral Nations Supervisory Commission (NNSC) in 2018.

Prof. Carl-Henrik Heldin, Chairman of the Nobel Museum in Stockholm delivered the congratulatory message, “It is Nobel‘s spirit that makes the advancement of mankind’s skills in science, literature and medicine contributes to a better world. Sweden and Korea, and further the vision of IPYG working for peace are synonymous with the spirit of Nobel. I hope that this event will be a great opportunity to bring peace on the Korean peninsula.”

Mr. Man Hee Lee of HWPL expressed his gratitude to these Swedish efforts and noted that Sweden as a neutral country and the Republic of Korea as a ceasefire country should cooperate more for the sake of peace in the world. “Who can bring about peace while we stand still? By putting an end to war, a world of peace can be established. It is our responsibility to establish a world of peace as a legacy for future generations, which is the very task of every one of our global family members.”

The Korean peninsula is divided for 65 years for the Korean War. As the international community is paying keen attention to the establishment of peace on the Korean Peninsula like the 2018 inter-Korean summit and the Korea-U.S. summit, HWPL has called for the realization of peace on the Korean Peninsula based on the civil society’s network, including youth and women throughout the world. HWPL hoped that this event can be a platform for dialogue and mutual understanding between different cultural groups.

Why Yemen?

28 years have passed since Yemen was unified. So what’s the problem? However, there are still constant threats to the peace that has been achieved. So the civil society from Korea and Yemen will come together in New York City. The Yemeni American Association is a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving over 50,000 Yemeni American in the U.S. The conclusion that they came up with was ‘cooperation of all sectors‘ for peace. They emphasized that a united civil society is the key ingredient of a better, more accepting world.

Most predominantly, letters will be collected and sent to the head of state of South Korea, Yemen, Mali and Senegal. I don’t think we have much time left. Because peace is likely to be achieved too soon. HWPL & YAA show the world that peace is not limited to national boundaries but true peace lies within the heart of each individual, each community.

Ukraine Peace Forum

Even though we have different nationalities and skin colors and use different languages, we are one family of peace who have the same hearts for love of peace and leaving a legacy of peace to our future generations. What a surprising is that all people in Ukraine also hope for true peace to be realized. Peace-building duty is not only for 300 attending religious leaders, legal experts and heads of civil societies in Ukraine. But also for peace messengers like you.

Recalling the small gatherings in Leipzig that sparked peaceful demonstrations for Germany’s reunification, Dr. Manfred F. Welker(Frankfurt city council member) said what will bring two Koreas together is “not just government cooperation but – as we have seen from Nikolaikirche – it will be by the collaboration and efforts of the people.” President of International Progress Organization, Professor Dr Hans Köchler from Austria, said “Reunified Korea will be the best security guarantee to both the North and the South.”

Frankly speaking, I don‘t know the political or economic viewpoint. I can‘t know why he acted like that. I don‘t know whether what he has shown us is real or imagined. Who knows? Nobody knows. Who knows what will happen in the future? Who knew Rome would collapse? But I know something. On second thought, 2018 inter-Korean summit really doesn’t make sense. But why is it possible? A great flow is moving. The wind of peace is blowing all over the world!

I will come back to Korea after a long time and I will be able to participate in this event tomorrow. I am so glad to be at the center of the peace. There were many peace groups and many peace movements, but none of them achieved peace. In the end, what I felt here was that HWPL has the answer! Come here and feel it for yourself!!
