President Moon Jae-in addresses the 73rd session of the United Nations General Assembly, at U.N. headquarters, Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2018. AP

Moon Jae-in has been performing well the Role of Messengers of Peace. It is clear that the Moon Jae-in is the midwife of the North-Korea USA Summit in many ways. By turning all the credit to President Trump, Mr. Moon made him an active participant in the North-Korea USA Summit. Bill Clinton, former president of the United States assessed it “Moon Jae-in the president is a true hero”. In the process, President Moon left a famous saying in Korean diplomatic history that “the Nobel Peace Prize is for Trump and we only need to bring peace.”

UN Official text:

“Over the past year, something miraculous has taken place on the Korean Peninsula. For the first time in history, the leader of North Korea crossed the Military Demarcation Line to visit Panmunjeom. A historic summit between the United States and North Korea was also held on the Sentosa Island in Singapore.

Chairman Kim Jong Un and I removed the shadow of war and resolved to usher in an era of peace and prosperity. At the U.S-North Korea summit, the two sides agreed to work towards achieving complete denuclearization on the Korean Peninsula, ending hostile relations and establishing a permanent peace regime. President Trump and Chairman Kim moved and gave hope to those who desire peace all around the world.

North Korea dismantled its nuclear test site in Punggye-ri under the observation of the international community. The United States and the Republic of Korea suspended large-scale joint military exercises and built trust.

I would like to thank and salute President Trump and Chairman Kim‘s courage and resolve as they usher in a new era on the Korean Peninsula as well as in U.S-North Korea relations.”

Chairman Kim expressed his hope of completing denuclearization as soon as possible to focus on economic development.

Moreover, Chairman Kim expressed his commitment to permanently dismantle the missile engine test site and launch platform in Dongchang-ri under observation of the international community as a first step, in order to expedite progress in denuclearization.

Furthermore, he expressed his firm willingness to continue to take additional denuclearization measures including the permanent dismantlement of nuclear facilities in Yongbyon as the United States takes corresponding measures in the spirit of the Sentosa Agreement.”

Ending the Korean War is an urgent task. It is a process that we must go through in order to move towards a peace regime. I look forward to seeing bold measures for denuclearization implemented among the related countries, leading to the declaration to end the War.

Regardless of the challenges that lie ahead, the leaders of the South, the North and the United States will move step by step towards peace based on mutual trust.

Such a dramatic change has been possible thanks to the support and encouragement of the people around the world who desire peace. In particular, the United Nations gave North Korea the courage to embark on the road to peace. I would like to express my gratitude to the United Nations for its role.

This is, however, just the beginning. I would like to ask for continued support and cooperation from the member states on our journey towards complete denuclearization and permanent peace. The Republic of Korea will spare no effort to encourage North Korea’s participation in the international community while adhering to the resolutions adopted by the United Nations.”

He continued, “On April 20, North Korea officially ended its policy of nuclear development and has since devoted all of its efforts towards economic development. On September 9, in the ceremony marking the 70th anniversary of its foundation, North Korea expressed its commitment to peace and prosperity instead of boasting its nuclear capabilities. North Korea moved out of longstanding isolation on its own initiative and stands before the international community once again.

Now, it is the international community’s turn to respond positively to North Korea’s new choice and efforts. We must assure Chairman Kim that he has made the right decision in committing to denuclearization. We must encourage North Korea to stay on the path that leads to permanent and solid peace.

The Role of the United Nations is crucial. The UN Secretariat has continued its efforts for dialogue and engagement, including the invitation of North Korean officials to international conferences.

The United Nations has stated its commitment to “leave no one behind.” My sincere hope is that the UN’s vision of sustainable development will be realized on the Korean Peninsula.

I have no doubt that if the international community paves the way, North Korea will not stall on making strides towards peace and prosperity. The Republic of Korea will spare no effort to guide North Korea towards that path.

I would like to call on the United Nations to share its experience and wisdom.”

The president Trump derided the chairman Kim as “Little Rocket Man” and threatened to “totally destroy North Korea.” at UN General Assembly a year ago. But now he praised the Chairman Kim for his courage. This Trump’s speech comes after South Korean President Moon Jae-in gave a personal message to Trump from North Korea’s Kim. This is the message they talked in the inter-Korean talks last week.

The White House’s official transcript(a partial extract):

“With support from many countries here today, we have engaged with North Korea to replace the specter of conflict with a bold and new push for peace.

In June, I traveled to Singapore to meet face to face with North Korea’s leader, Chairman Kim Jong Un.

We had highly productive conversations and meetings, and we agreed that it was in both countries’ interest to pursue the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula. Since that meeting, we have already seen a number of encouraging measures that few could have imagined only a short time ago.

The missiles and rockets are no longer flying in every direction. Nuclear testing has stopped. Some military facilities are already being dismantled. Our hostages have been released. And as promised, the remains of our fallen heroes are being returned home to lay at rest in American soil.

I would like to thank Chairman Kim for his courage and for the steps he has taken, though much work remains to be done. The sanctions will stay in place until denuclearization occurs.

I also want to thank the many member states who helped us reach this moment — a moment that is actually far greater than people would understand; far greater — but for also their support and the critical support that we will all need going forward.

A special thanks to President Moon of South Korea, Prime Minister Abe of Japan, and President Xi of China.”

RI YONG HO, Minister for Foreign Affairs of the DPRK, asked the US for less sanctions and more understanding. He still showed North Korea’s willingness to denuclearize and said “The Korean Peninsula, the hottest spot in the globe, will become the cradle of peace and prosperity.” Ri ascribed this progress almost entirely to efforts by the Koreas but he said that the US continued to damage the peace protest by mistrusting North Korea. Four days ago, Trump highlighted his achievement with North Korea, but added that sanctions will continue until denuclearization is carried out. Frequently reemphasising the need for trust, Ri said there was “no way” North Korea would unilaterally disarm themselves before “coercive” sanctions were lifted.

How to achieve Peace on Korean Peninsula?

Special Lectures to support the Peaceful
Unification of the Korean Peninsula

– Delivered by Former Presidents of Eastern European Nations

On September 18, the two leaders of inter-Korea met in Pyongyang. To support the peaceful unification of the Korean Peninsula, H.E. Ivo Josipović, Former President of Croatia, and Hon. Emil Constantinescu, Former President of Romania, both of whom experienced times under Communist rule and the transition to democracy, gave presentations on September 16th and September 20th respectively. They gave specific advice through their real experience.

H.E. Ivo Josipović explained the power of culture in the achievement of peace and the need for adoption of DPCW by the United Nations. He emphasized the important role of political leaders to cease the ongoing conflicts in the world, citing the past case of the treaty signed by Croatia, Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. In relation to the establishment of a legally binding international law for peace, he added, “Presenting the Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War (DPCW) to the United Nations as a resolution, with our intention to build peace in the world, is novel and important.”

Hon. Emil Constantinescu gave practical advice based upon the Experiences throughout the Transition Period of Eastern Europe. He said, “I lived under a communist dictatorship that deprived the country and its citizens of freedom for 50 years.” and told horrendous reality. “World War II caused the death of more than 25 million soldiers and over 73 million civilians, as well as created huge economic losses and led to the destruction of many world cultural heritage sites.” He concluded the lecture by proclaiming, “In order to achieve the peaceful reunification of the Korean Peninsula, leaders, politicians and even the youth must have the consciousness to achieve peace.”

Emil Constantinescu H.E. Ivo Josipović DPRK DPCW Chairman Kim Jong Un Bill Clinton 918 WARP Summit 73rd UNGA At a time when the global world wanted peace, there was the closest place to peace. The 4th Annual Commemoration of the 2018 HWPL World Peace Summit was held in South Korea from the 17th to the 19th of September. This year, thousands of leaders and citizens from around the globe will gather for 3 days with the great determination of creating a peaceful world together. Under the theme of “Collaboration for Peace Development: Building a Peace Community through the DPCW”, the wind of peace is blowing all over the world. This 918 WARP Summit is the core of HWPL’s peace movement. The main agenda of the WARP Summit will be the introduction of the Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War (DPCW) to the United Nations (UN) as a binding resolution.

DPCW is aligned with UN Charter

A STEP TOWARDS PEACE 73rd UNGA paid attention to Peace on the Korean Peninsula UNGA73 UNGA UN Charter step towards peace SDGs Right to Peace Republic of Korea promote peace peace on the Korean Peninsula North Korea Moon Jae-in messengers of peace María Fernanda Espinosa Garcés Inter Korea Summit Hon. Emil Constantinescu H.E. Ivo Josipović DPRK DPCW Chairman Kim Jong Un Bill Clinton 918 WARP Summit 73rd UNGA So far, international law has not ended the war. Likewise, the Universal Declaration does not include a separate article on “Right to Peace”. This is why the 70th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights was held. So HWPL is creating a new order for the world. It is DPCW! It can be the Right to Peace. Currently, there is a worldwide campaign to introduce the DPCW to the United Nations. Now, they collected 734,055 signatures (as of October, 2017) and 173,170 people of 176 countries participated. Law experts agreed that the DPCW is fully aligned with the UN Charter & the UDHR and this Declaration not only encapsulates and supports all of the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Like proof of this, delegations of Permanent Missions of the UN and HWPL gathered at the Office of the Commonwealth (New York) to discuss the promotion of sustainable peace and human rights, on Friday 7 September 2018. Also, they discussed intensively the way to promote the 918 WARP Summit. Because the walks of HWPL are alignment with the core purposes of the United Nations, the delegations have no choice but to support the DPCW.

Finally, the Last East Germany Prime Minister Lothar de Maizière, who achieved reunification, said (not this year) that “Reunification was the will of heaven. It happens like a miracle when human endeavor is met with internal and external conditions.”

73rd UNGA Address by South Korean President Moon Jae-in:

Ladies and gentlemen,

We all desire peace. Peace represents the relatives and neighbors we love, and the hometowns we long for. Peace means sharing what we have together. A peace we have all achieved together is a peace for all. I’m confident that all of you will always be with us on the path to permanent peace and denuclearization on the Korean Peninsula as well as on the journey to a peaceful world.

Thank you.

Peace is up to you :0 Good luck!

The IPYG is one of the two wings of HWPL and they are working with the Youth for world peace. With 851 organizations from 111 countries around the world, peace is being realized. (as of October 2017) How much faster do they run? They participated in more than 200 activities and events in 44 countries for peace. How long? ‘Just in this year!’ They show a great power. The reasons for that are eager for peace and youth. In particular, IPYG hosted the Peace Walk, which has been an annual event since 2013. They created a movement to promote the true culture of peace. It is based on Article 10 ‘Spreading a Culture of Peace‘ of the DPCW.

“For World Peace to become a reality,
this is the duty of all youth, everywhere.”

It was founded in accordance with the spirit of the HWPL. Do you know why HWPL can achieve PEACE? The Definite Answer to Peace is the DPCW and IPYG & IWPG. Then, what is the Role of the Youth? Owners of the future! They protect their future and leave sustainable peace as a legacy for future generations. I think it is very important to nurture the youth becoming peace leaders with a sense of ownership in regard to the future.

We’re working to bring the DPCW to the United Nations. And it needs the support of presidents in each country to be passed. So you can ask “What can I do?.” I’m going to give you a strong statement. Each country is made up of citizens and the president must listen to them. I really want to ask you. If you acknowledge that this is indeed the answer to peace, please be sure to support and urge your President to pass the DPCW to the United Nations. Then, this DPCW could be established as a real international law, which is the answer to peace. Therefore, your country and you will be remembered around the world as the leading country to support the law of peace for the first time.

  1. Law for Peace
Implementation of the DPCW in the form of a UN resolution to fundamentally prevent armed conflicts and establish an order of permanent peace
  2. Alliance of Religions
Harmony among religions, which lead the world and deal with spiritual matters
  3. Peace Education
Peace education to build the character expected of global citizens

Everyone is important, but I think the most important point at this time is the Adoption of the DPCW as UN resolution. To achieve this goal, around 1,000 experts in various fields from around the world are discussing now the role of the HWPL Peace Advisory Council in turning the DPCW into legally binding form & national and regional support for the adoption of the DPCW as a UN resolution.

Specially, I want to thank the HWPL International Law Peace Committee and the HWPL Peace Advisory Council for their dedication. They took the leading roles in the Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War (DPCW) which was proclaimed on the 14th of March 2016. The DPCW has been verified as the definite answer to peace.

Political leaders, including former and current heads of state, ministers, national assembly speakers and Supreme Court justices, together with HWPL are currently making practical efforts. I am really grateful to these people. They are trying wholeheartedly towards the enactment of an international law for peace through the introduction of the DPCW to the UN. At this year’s international law session, high-ranking officials and the HWPL international law advisory committee will create concrete measures to advance the process of the realization of the implementation of an international law for peace.

Don’t you know what the DPCW is?
The DPCW is a legal document that was drafted by HWPL and proclaimed on 14 March 2016, purposing to create a legally binding instrument for the cessation of war and establishment of peace. It is composed of 10 articles and 38 clauses, and offers universal values and principles such as peaceful conflict resolution, promotion of friendly relations between states, freedom of religion, and the spreading of a culture of peace, for the advancement of peace in both nations and civil society.

Hon. Deputy Paula Lorena Rodriguez Lima, During these 14 months she talked to persuade every single one of 120 congressmen and women

The Central American Parliament(Diputados del Parlamento Centroamericano, PARLACEN), with 6 member-states, has now completed the official process of approval for the Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War(DPCW) after a year of discussion in the Commission of Peace, Public Security and Human Rights. It is an amazing achievement! Hon. Deputy Paula Lorena Rodriguez Lima, current Representative of Guatemala in PARLACEN, took the leading rold in this adoption. The most amazing thing is that she talked every single one of 120 congressmen and women to persuade the value of DPCW.

The resolution includes the following,

“It is intended that the Central American Parliament raise the flag of peace among the entire international community, taking this message to all governments, international organizations, civil society, political parties and others.

Based on what was considered above and the legal basis invoked, the Commission of Peace, Public Security and Human Rights issues favorable report with amendments to the initiative AP / 1278-278 / 2016 the “DECLARATION OF PEACE AND CESSATION OF WAR”.

In the DPCW promoted by HWPL on March 14, 2016, the respect of human rights and international law is fundamentally promoted, especially the role of the states in relation to the promotion of Peace, Justice and Freedom.”

And He also supported the DPCW on behalf of the pan-African Parliament (PAP). This means that every country in Africa will support the DPCW. Also, two countries (eSwatini and Seychelles) send documents that they would support the DPCW on a national level. I don’t know how much you recognize it, but it’s a huge result!!! And what I’d like to focus on the most is that the Chairman Man hee Lee declared, in 2013, ‘we created an international law and the presidents should sign here. And then, the war will be eliminated all over the world’. It really comes true.

[D-1] HWPL Intercontinental WARP Office Meeting

PEACE FESTIVAL is already started

Today, I will introduce the WARP Office.

The WARP Office was established to resolve conflicts and misunderstandings among religious groups. The Chairman Man hee Lee‘s clear religious guidelines lead religious people in the right direction today.

The Chairman Man hee Lee said, “If religions are in harmony with each other, there will be no reason to fight. To achieve harmony among religions, people of religion should examine and compare their scriptures to find the truth and become one in that truth. People of religion are responsible for leading people of the world in the right path.”

In the WARP Office, leaders from various religious groups gather to discuss religion and the Bible. It is being held in major cities around the world. The purpose of this comparative study of religious scriptures is to return religion to its original role and become one religion according to the creator’s will. The WARP Office promotes understanding and harmony among many religions in the world for the peace of mankind.

One religious leader emphasized, “We should support the WARP Office discussions, as the significant link and the great network for the worldwide religious institutions and spiritual leaders, to show the cooperation and solidarity of all religious leaders, and to send the message of tolerance, peace and unity to all people around the world.”

The Story of WARP Office

A STEP TOWARDS PEACE [D-1] HWPL Intercontinental WARP Office Meeting What Religious Texts Tell You WARPSummit2018 WARP OFFICE Religious Youth Peace Camp Peace Initiative peace festival Man Hee Lee HWPL Intercontinental WARP Office Meeting HWPL Intercontinental Online WARP Office HWPL DPCW Chairman Man Hee Lee Alliance of Religions Afterlife 918WARP Seeing the current status of the religious war, HWPL thinks the solution of peace. ‘How can we make it?’ The answer they found is the Scriptures. Because it represent the accumulation of not only the spiritual and moral teachings of the respective faiths, but also a fundamental standard of human conduct.

Why Scripture? Although the common objective that all religion is the great things, these messages are often overlooked by people. Because religious people fight with each other first. They showed hostility and started a war. So peace is becoming an elusive concept. So HWPL approach towards the root cause of this hostility between faiths, defined as the misunderstandings that arise from the misinterpretation of these scriptures. Eminent religious experts recognized it as an ‘Innovative Approach’. The alliance of religions is the earnest hope of all humanity.

Spreading throughout the world

The World Alliance of Religions’ Peace (WARP) Office Meetings began from the World Alliance of Religions’ Peace (WARP) Summit in 2014 where representative leaders from 12 religions, along with 950 participants, signed the Unity of Religion Agreement. At that time, the WARP Office Meeting was established and it has been actively practiced worldwide since then. In the short three years from its official beginning, the WARP Offices have seen rapid expansion with 218 offices now operating in 126 countries. With approximately 2,500 representative religious leaders as participants, it enhanced the level of understanding of various religions.

Do you know what culture was created? Religious leaders want to seek true peace-building and harmony among religions based on correct understanding. And they dedicated themselves to thoroughly researching what a “trustworthy scripture” should contain.

91 percent of all religious leaders agreed that the following six attributes, 1) Good and Evil, 2) Birth, Aging, Sickness and Death, 3) The Spiritual Realm, 4) Cleansing of Sins, 5) History and Genealogy, and 6) Prophecy and Fulfillment

“In the case of the tank, a key point to take notice of is how the cold and lethal weapons of death are transformed into agricultural tools that help people and give them joy. So, it becomes a world where there are no longer any weapons that kill people. In the case of the unification train, it shows how the unification of Korea, which is the world’s only divided nation, is able to give hope.

This is symbolized by the creation of a unification train which would allow people to go anywhere, not caring whether it is in South or North.”

Can you please introduce the performance that we will see from this Arirang Team?

“Our performance is a concert called Arirang Fantasy of Peace. It is a performance that expresses the idea of a peace that does not discriminate anyone, even though nationality, race, culture and religion may all be different. It brings together a traditional Korean song with traditional instruments, dances martial arts and other elements showing a harmonized global village full of excitement. This concert is a peace festival that represents the global village that will live in harmony and create peace.

It is during the performance of Ganggangsullae(강강술래), a traditional Korean dance, in the Arirang of Peace where one of our team members steps across the connected backs and shoulders of the others. This clearly demonstrates how a beautiful reality of peace is achieved through the combined sacrifice and effort of everyone involved.

Therefore, during practices not even one person could think selfishly, but instead had to willingly lend their back and shoulders. So, we carefully practiced with the mindset that I myself must hold hands and create peace along with everyone else.”

This conflict started on 7 October 2001. In the past 16 years, al-Qaeda and Taliban government was destructed. Osama bin Laden was dead. Despite the fact that Taliban leader Mullah Akhtar Mansour was killed by a drone strike in May 2016, the group has regularly launched relentless attacks around the country. Adding to the instability, the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) has continuously attempted to establish the foundation in Afghanistan.

DPCW, an international law for Syria

Heartbeat, a song for Syria

Heartbeat, a song for Syria’ is sung by 10-year-old Ansam, a Syrian girl who was born blind. The song was written and composed by Zaid Dirani, Unicef Goodwill Ambassador, and world-famous pianist. It has a message of hope that Syria’s children want to get back their childhood. It’s like the voices of children shouting around the world. Amazingly, the video was filmed in Syria. The following are the lyrics of Heartbeat: (abbreviation)

‘Amid destruction and fire, our wound is deep
We want to say it loud, but our voice is weak
We may be children, but our cry comes from the heart

We want to say it loud: everything is possible
Together we can hope
Our hearts beat back to life
We want our childhood back’

Statistics about the Syrian civil war

Unicef, 2016

  • At least 652 children were killed – a 20 per cent increase from 2015 – making 2016 the worst year for Syria’s children since the formal verification of child casualties began in 2014.
  • 255 children were killed in or near a school.
  • More than 850 children were recruited to fight in the conflict, more than double the number recruited in 2015. Children are being used and recruited to fight directly on the frontlines and are increasingly taking part in combat roles, including in extreme cases as executioners, suicide bombers or prison guards.
  • There were at least 338 attacks against hospitals and medical personnel.

Legislate Peace Campaign

Dear family members of the global community,

The history of our world is replete with the tragedies of war. When wars break out, ordinary citizens, especially the youth and young adults, are forced out to fight on the battlefields and mothers must send their children into danger. In most instances, neither the youth nor their mothers would willingly suffer such loss and sacrifice. We are all born into the same world; and we live on the same land, under the same sky. All of us have the right to live in a war-free world in peace. And this right should be protected by law.

It is for this reason that we, the world's youth, women, and messengers of peace, support the Legislate Peace Campaign, an advocacy movement in support of the Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War (DPCW) being developed into an enforceable law. When such a law is implemented and enforced in all countries, wars will have no place on Earth and a culture of peace will finally be able to spread to all corners of the globe. We call on world leaders and governments to acknowledge the principles set out in the DPCW and to incorporate them into their national laws.

We must take action to achieve the global enjoyment of peace. Please join us in supporting the Legislate Peace Campaign to guarantee peace for all.

Let us Legislate Peace. Sign Your Support.

HWPL Peace Education can achieve Dictionary without ‘War’!

HWPL Peace Education

“Before the discussion, students hit each other. They never used to love one another or care what other children are going through. But after the discussion on empathy, they could see the necessity of why we should have empathy. I actually felt the concept of empathy was sinking into these children.”

Having dedicated 17 years to teaching, Mr. Mathias Kevin Osimbo, the In-country Representative of Teachers Without Borders in Kenya, offers unique insights into peace education as one of the many educators who have implemented HWPL’s peace education in their classrooms.

The results were beyond surprising:

“I picked students from the group, peace club, in my school. When the members came, we picked one of the values, ‘empathy’. As the students discuss about this, they came up with their own ideas and definition of what empathy is. Some of them were too emotional and they were shedding tears as they were sharing their life experiences.

Let me tell you there was a change afterwards. Before the discussion, students hit each other. They never used to love one another or care what other children are going through. But after the discussion on empathy, they could see the necessity of why we should have empathy. I actually felt the concept of empathy was sinking into these children.”

The Chairman of HWPL, Man hee Lee, said
“If there is an answer to peace, then any family of the global village born in this era should become a messenger of peace…ending war and making sustainable peace a legacy for future generations.”

When does peace begin?

with the Values and Spirit of Peace”

A STEP TOWARDS PEACE HWPL Peace Education can achieve Dictionary without ‘War’! Teachers Without Borders messengers of peace Man Hee Lee internalization of peace values HWPL Peace education HWPL empathy DPCW Chairman of HWPL     Peace is so natural, and it’s the best value human beings should have. How can we achieve peace? Peace begins by teaching students peace. Teaching peace from a young age in all textbook, not war heroes and stories, is a source of great change as fundamental solution. If the word war is removed from the dictionary by peace education, culture of peace will prevail in the global community and war will no longer occur. Peace education is one of HWPL’s core initiatives and values education to pass peace on to posterity. HWPL Peace education focuses on developing peace education courses, teacher training, and opening peace classes to enlighten students and foster citizens of peace value and spirit. In order to end the war and leave eternal peace as a legacy for future generations, we need to teach the values needed for a new era of peace rather than the old war-stained ideology.

“Countless people have worked for peace on this planet but how much peace do we have today? There will be no greater thing we could leave as a legacy to our future generations than to end war on this planet and create peace.” – The Chairman of HWPL, Man hee Lee

HWPL Peace Academy

Academy MOU with 149 educational institutions in 10 countries

A STEP TOWARDS PEACE HWPL Peace Education can achieve Dictionary without ‘War’! Teachers Without Borders messengers of peace Man Hee Lee internalization of peace values HWPL Peace education HWPL empathy DPCW Chairman of HWPL This education provides a fundamental understanding of the basic principles that human beings must observe for peace to be created. Through the discovery and internalization of these peace values the inner selves of students and their ability to live together in harmony with others in their own community, and even the world, is properly nurtured. In order to successfully cultivate children and young people as messengers of peace, HWPL Peace Education first works to erase previously held ideas and values that are corrupt by directly showing how the world has become evil in the present era, and then plant the peaceful values needed for the new era of peace in their stead. It also introduces a new methodology in which the values of peace can be applied in all environments and real-life situations happening outside the classroom.

Currently, 149 educational institutions in 10 countries including the Israel, the Philippines, the U.S. and the Kosovo have been signed up to operate the HWPL Peace Academy in from elementary schools to universities.

The culture of peace is the best homework that we all have to do together and the greatest legacy that we can pass on to future generations. HWPL Peace education will create a peace culture. 🙂

The Chairman Man hee Lee said, “One era is fading and a new one is beginning. Will this be achieved by sitting around? As you can see from my postings so far, the whole world is cheering for messengers of peace. As if to prove it, more than 300 media outlets in 35 countries are promoting it just a short time after the African Leaders of Peace Summit 2018. At this time when the DPCW is gaining national support, the wind of peace is very strong all over the world. HWPL is considered by experts to be the most substantive and powerful peace organization ever. I feel also that HWPL could really be able to achieve peace. And this thinking is becoming increasingly convincing. I would like to introduce the core of the HWPL‘s peace movement.

The Cape Town is called the affectionate ‘Mother City’. They have ‘Ubuntu‘ in their hearts.

The Former President Nelson Mandela explained Ubuntu as follows:

“A traveler through a country would stop at a village and he didn’t have to ask for food or for water. Once he stops, the people give him food and attend him. That is one aspect of Ubuntu, but it will have various aspects. Ubuntu does not mean that people should not enrich themselves. The question therefore is: Are you going to do so in order to enable the community around you to be able to improve?”

It is often translated as “I am because we are,” and also “humanity towards others”, but is often used in a more philosophical sense to mean “the belief in a universal bond of sharing that connects all humanity”. Since the transition to democracy in South Africa with the Nelson Mandela presidency in 1994, the term has become more widely known outside of Southern Africa.

António Guterres said, “Nelson Mandela was a towering global advocate for justice and equality. He continues to inspire the world through his example of courage and compassion. Nelson Mandela was held captive for many years. But he never became a prisoner of his past. Instead, he poured his energy into reconciliation and his vision of a peaceful, multi-ethnic, democratic South Africa.

On this day marking the centennial of his birth, we commemorate Nelson Mandela’s lifetime of service. Rarely has one person in history done so much to stir people’s dreams and move them to action. That struggle for equality, dignity and justice continues. Madiba’s legacy shows the way.”

Cape Town : Peace my city campaign

The DPCW provides direction so we can do it. Article 10 ‘Spreading the culture of peace’ of DPCW is already being done. The International Peace Youth Group (IPYG) is providing a new direction to turn Cape Town into a city of peace. The Gugulethu NY116 Sports Field was taken over by gangs and many people have been afraid of gang violence. But through the efforts of many people, the field was revamped with a peace mural then cleaned up again. In the city where the campaign is being held, the crime rate has dropped. Starting with this, it’s spreading across parts of South Africa.

With 851 organizations from 111 countries around the world, peace is being realized, especially in Africa with 238 groups from 28 countries. You already know, Africa has had a lot of difficulties in history. But now, with such heroic presidents as Nelson Mandela and also abundant resources and the number of young people who make up more than 60 percent of the population, the Africa shows a lot of possibilities to the world. And based on that possibility, Africa is becoming so powerful that the world can’t ignore more and more. But there are still gaps in the way to develop like that. I want to ask you a question to explain it.

Have you ever heard of the expression ‘lawless zone‘? The dictionary said simply an area without laws. But when applied in our real lives and in movies and in other media, the lawless zone is not just an area without law, but a life-threatening environment where violence, conflict and suffering are a lot and basic human right is not protected. From that, we can see how much pain can be caused by lawlessness and you can see how important the law is. The development of Africa is already on the way, but in order to leap further, the law of peace must be established in this society. The law of peace must be needed to realize such long-term plans as the Agenda 2063. Therefore the law of peace is the most important and fundamental. So, what is the law of peace?

HWPL is proposing the Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War(DPCW) as a resolution for establishing a legally binding law for peace that can fundamentally prevent war and conflict

Why is the DPCW answer to peace?

A STEP TOWARDS PEACE African Leaders of Peace Summit : Urge DPCW #3 WeAreOne Urge DPCW Ubuntu South Africa ReligiousFreedom Pray4Peace PeaceLetter Peaceleader Peacelaw Peace my city campaign Nelson Mandela International Day Manheelee IWPG IPYG HWPL DPCW_Africa DPCW Advocacy Session DPCW Cape Town BeTheLegacy António Guterres Agenda 2063 Africa_Peace African Leaders of Peace Summit ActionAgainstPoverty 29thWorldPeaceTour I’m sure you all know. This is 10 Articles and 38 Clauses of the DPCW that the chairman Man hee Lee created. Let me briefly explain why 10 Articles and 38 Clauses of DPCW is the law of peace and why it is the answer to peace. The DPCW consists of 10 articles. Articles 1 to 5 is talking about preventing conflict. In order to prevent conflict, they made each other friendly and unwilling to fight. And we’re making laws to make sure that there’s no weapons or troops needed for war. It also has a clause that maintains borders so that countries do not invade other countries.

Articles 6 to 7 have a complete system of resolution in case of conflict. There is a strong law that can resolve the dispute through the International Court of Justice and the UN Security Council following the order of the international community.

Articles 8 to 9 can solve religious conflicts, which are the largest percentage of all disputes. It also includes solving ethnic conflicts. Article 10 ‘Spreading the culture of peace’ emphasizes the ‘Peace education’ to leave this settled dispute as an eternal legacy for future generations.

In conclusion, the DPCW is the ultimate solution of peace that can prevent conflicts, if it happens, resolve it and leave this world peace as a eternal legacy for future generations.

What can we do for us?

A STEP TOWARDS PEACE African Leaders of Peace Summit : Urge DPCW #3 WeAreOne Urge DPCW Ubuntu South Africa ReligiousFreedom Pray4Peace PeaceLetter Peaceleader Peacelaw Peace my city campaign Nelson Mandela International Day Manheelee IWPG IPYG HWPL DPCW_Africa DPCW Advocacy Session DPCW Cape Town BeTheLegacy António Guterres Agenda 2063 Africa_Peace African Leaders of Peace Summit ActionAgainstPoverty 29thWorldPeaceTour So what do we do for peace? We’re working to bring the DPCW to the United Nations. And it needs the support of presidents in each country to be passed. So you can ask “What can I do?.” I’m going to give you a strong statement. Each country is made up of citizens and the president must listen to them. I really want to ask you. If you acknowledge that this is indeed the answer to peace, please be sure to support and urge your President to pass the DPCW to the United Nations. Then, this DPCW could be established as a real international law, which is the answer to peace. Therefore, this Africa will be remembered around the world as the leading continent to support the law of peace for the first time. Then, Africa with the sound foundation for peace, and South Africa, as well, will be the most advanced country in the world.

All Africans support the DPCW

But also HWPL came to Africa and achieved a lot. When the chairman Man hee Lee visited the Pan African Parliament (PAP), the representative of PAP signed the MOU with HWPL. And He also supported the DPCW on behalf of the pan-African Parliament (PAP). This means that every country in Africa will support the DPCW. Also, two countries send documents that they would support the DPCW on a national level. I don’t know how much you recognize it, but it’s a huge result!!! And what I’d like to focus on the most is that the Chairman Man hee Lee declared, in 2013, we created an international law and the presidents should sign here. And then, the war will be eliminated all over the world. That’s how it really works. So it is another evidence that not only DPCW but also the reality, where what the chairman lee said comes true, are the answer to peace.

The wind of peace is blowing all the world

Please write letters to presidents, promote it online & media and support the DPCW! And I hope that you will encourage not only your country, but also the presidents of Africa and the rest of the world through the Internet and the media. The Chairman Man hee Lee is right here now. Our representative of HWPL is the messenger of peace who is making the actual result of peace. In 2014, he risked his life to go the area where many people died for 40 years in the bloody conflict in Mindanao. So he met with representatives of the two religions to resolve the religious conflict that was at the cor of this civil war, and he drew a peace treaty. The Chairman Man hee Lee also created this DPCW, the answer to the war, with 21 international law experts, and now he is actually working on international legislation, urging the world and the United Nations. In a moment, our representative will come up here and introduce you to the answers of this peace. Please open your ears and remember his words in your mind and be sure to encourage your leaders.

And here we have a lot of young people coming. I really want to say something to young people. I will speak English so that these young people can hear it in person.
“Someone asked me. A young South African man said, I want to convey my opinion to the President of South Africa. But I don’t think the president will listen to me. So I answered. And I’m going to tell you this because it applies to us. One person and One voice is weak. But if we come together, we’re stronger than anyone. Please remember. You’re not alone. We’re one.”
I’ll shout before finishing. We Are One!!! Thank you very much.
