On the 918 WARP Summit, Ms. Hyun Sook Yoon, IWPG Chairwoman, said “In the world of the 21st century, people across the continent are able to meet people on the other side of the globe in just a few hours. In addition, with the development of information and communication, a large amount of information can be delivered in real time through the internet. However, in this world of convenience, we are constantly exposed to heartaches such as wars, terrorism, abuse of human rights, and news of sad deaths of beloved children throughout the world.

The noble maternal instincts that women have can protect children from the front lines of war. It is the most powerful force and answer to peace that can lead mankind into a world of peace. Because half of the world’s population are women with the potential of peace, if we become one, mankind can turn into a peaceful world without war.”

IWPG is working to make sure that all children and women have the right values through peace education. I believe that there is no change as fast as education. IWPG is taking the answer to peace suggested by HWPL, the “Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War (DPCW)”, and is actively spreading a culture of peace in diverse ways such as implementing peace education and training peace educators.

“We have cooperation agreements with schools around the world and are working to establishing peace schools and education. We have launched the “10 Million Signature Campaign for Urging for a Peace Agreement for the Cessation of War on the Korean Peninsula” for peace on the Korean peninsula and currently it is being achieved as written on the “Declaration of Unification”.

In order to end the global war and make a world of peace, ourselves first have to know this declaration of peace. We must inform my neighbors, and let the nations and the presidents know and participate. I hope that 3.7 billion women around the world will be the protagonist of peace with us. Let us all become the messengers of peace and realize world peace together.”

The Chairman Man Hee Lee of HWPL gave a special request to those in attendance stating, “The strength of one person, is only that one person’s strength. But if we come together for this work of peace, then it will become a great power. Everyone woman living in the global village should become one through the common objective and shout together with a common voice. You should write letters to former and current presidents. We need to write not only to our president but to those all over the world.”

He then continued, “Also you should tell not only the people of your own countries but the people from other countries as well about the method of becoming one together with the women of the IWPG. Two is more powerful than one, but if there are many it will never be broken. Since the goal is peace, nothing is more precious and important than the work of making the world of peace that can be left as a legacy for future generations. I believe in the women’s group and the youth group.”

IWPG World Peace Conference in Australia

Harmony, Communication, and Peace with the 3.7 Billion Women in the World

On the 18th of Feb, 2019, IWPG World Peace Conference in Australia was held in order to inspire a sense of duty as a women leader to achieve world peace, and to recognize its role as a messenger of peace. IWPG shared the initiatives and activities of IWPG over the past year and presented the main directions for 2019.

People who contributed to work of peace were motivated for peace by being presented the Plaques of Appreciation Ceremony. First ladies were inspired their mission to realize peace through the inauguration ceremony of the “IWPG Peace Network of First Ladies”.

IWPG Chairwoman strongly emphasized “IWPG consists of more than 100 branches and 240 affiliated organizations. The Peace Mission with HWPL and IPYG is currently on the 30th World Peace Tour and everyone wanted.

Even now, there are children and young people who are dying of war. Also in the midst of the war, women’s human rights are being violated. Should we just sit back and let it go? Young people and women all over the world should be brave enough to talk about inconvenient truths, and institutional support is also needed to prevent war. If war is a problem, there should be an answer to it. IWPG found the answer in DPCW.

When one changes one’s mind, culture changes and civilization changes. Let us awaken all to the culture of peace. We are all messengers of peace.”

IPYG and IWPG are the two wings of HWPL. HWPL is the international peace organization, a group of people who love the global community. We have come together in the noble cause of peace. Political leaders signed the agreement to propose the enactment of international law for the cessation of wars and word peace. After that, DPCW was enacted and it is to be the icon of solution of peace to prevent conflicts and disputes. And religious leaders signed the world alliance of religions agreement. For children, leaders of future, HWPL Peace Education is implemented to know the values of peace. We are leading the future to achieve the common goal of peace.

Mr.Man Hee Lee, the Chairman of HWPL, emphasized “Why is it necessary to draw up a new law? If the existing laws were already complete, it would be unnecessary to draft a new one. But since it is impossible to put an end to wars of this world with the existing laws, I ask you to develop an international legal instrument that can stand as law forever.”

Introduction of IPYG

Thus, a new international law has been created that has supplemented the weaknesses of current international law. In 2017, the central american parliament passed a resolution in support of the DPCW. UN permanent representatives of 145 countires recognize the need for the DPCW. In Africa, HWPL and the Pan-African Parliament (PAP) signed MOU. Seychelles, Eswatini, and Comoros expressed support for the DPCW at the NATIONAL LEVEL.

Also, HWPL and the International Centre for Black Sea-Baltic Studies and Consensus Practices (Centre BBS) signed MOU. HWPL and the Institute for Advancced Studies in Levant Culture and Civilization (ISACCL) signed MOU.

More citizens as well as youth and women’s organizations are showing support for the DPCW to help national leaders implement this declaration and advocate its adoption in the UN. Youth members read the “Peace Letter” to urge national leaders to realize peace through the DPCW and delivered it directly to around 200 leaders from each country that were in attendance.

Why Youth? Because we can stop those innocent people, especially youth from losing their lives in the futility of war. Who can compensate for one’s life? We don’t want to die. We want to love. We want to sing and dance. Our future is not expendable. If we continue to be victims of war, the pain will not be able to be healed in any way.

One member said “As youth, we are the future leaders, we are dynamic, innovative, and full of energy. So, what we do is going to reflect all these characters that we have in us. In order to support the Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War, we will need to do what’s best for the youth in our country.”

So far, 170,000 peace letters collected

Obviously, the role of world leaders is a great part to the implementation of the DPCW. However, it is the youth’s role to urge leaders. Youth have the power to move their leaders’ minds. Chairman Lee of HWPL is running with the answer to peace from above. If the answer to world peace is DPCW, 10 Articles and 38 Clauses, the answer to the peace movement of youth is the peace letter. I hope that the youth in this place will also urge their leaders to become peace messengers so that the DPCW can be implemented and developed into a legally binding document.

Youth Make Tomorrow : Unity & Harmony

On the 18th of Feb, 2019, the “2019 Youth Peace Conference” recalled the role and influence of young people in the world peace and the power of Unity and Harmony, highlighting that each youth should become messenger of peace.

Writing and delivering the Peace Letter activities have reached even to the heads of each state. Youth participants are anticipating it to further advance advocacy activities of young people.

A single individual is weak. But if all the youth of the world unite as one, no one would be able to break them apart. I saw joy and our future in their faces.

The Chairman Man Hee Lee strongly emphasized “We want peace, no matter who we are. While traveling around the globe for a long time, meeting many people, everyone wanted peace. So peace must be achieved.

It will be recorded in the eternal history of future generations. Let’s join in this work of peace and become the messengers of peace. Young people will no longer be victims of war, but protect themselves, and women will also protect children. When we all have one heart, peace will be achieved. Let’s all be the messengers of peace. I wanted to make this request to you, all Youth.

Write a letter to the president of your country and the president of another country and send him a message to make the world a peaceful place together. All men are supposed to be admitted because they have the same mind. If everyone admits it, peace will come to this land. During the 29th world peace tour, all the lawmakers in Africa supported it. The same was true of Europe. Every place wants peace. In times like this, let’s make peace by writing handwritten letters. Heaven will also help all the people of this land.

What will you leave as an inheritance in future generations? Property? Power? Let’s all leave peace as a legacy. We are one. WE ARE ONE!”

Why do you think peace is necessary? What does peace mean to you? Is the current world peaceful? This is likely to vary depending on the country you live in and what you see and hear.

But there are people who risk their lives for peace. I can’t figure out how many rounds they’ve traveled around the globe at their own expense. It is the HWPL Peacebuilding Story, a peace organization recognized by prominent people around the world. Former and incumbent presidents, Supreme Court chiefs, group leaders and journalists are joining the HWPL and spreading the culture of peace around the world.

A STEP TOWARDS PEACE HWPL 30th World Peace Tour: IWPG World Peace conference #1 WorldPeaceConference Philippine Man Hee Lee IWPG HWPL Peacebuilding Story HWPL chairman Lee 30th_Peacetour

This is also possible with the presence of HWPL chairman, Mr. Man Hee Lee. People asked “Why are you risking your life for a peace movement?” It is related to his biography. He was a Korean War veteran. So, he knows better than anyone the pain of war and the suffering of countless children in the country. He knows the pain of war and the suffering of countless children in the country better than anyone. This is why he is supported by 1.6 billion young people and 3.7 billion women.

So far, the HWPL’s movement is more substantial and powerful than any other peace organization. Check out the official site and other postings.

VISION

World peace to end the war

Human beings have the right to be happy, and they are born to be happy. But the global village is hurting each other with disputes, conflicts, and wars, and human rights and life are being threatened. Every woman has a spirit of service of mother and sacrifice to create a world of happiness for all families.

Women around the world become one of the many lives that are sacrificed in the war, especially those who are hyisaengdang at the forefront of the battlefield, to keep their children out of the ‘ end of war ‘ movement and to create a peaceful global village.

MISSION

I would like to instill a sense of “peace” for people around the world, and work with women leaders and international women groups worldwide to practice a warm “mother’s Love” where peace is needed.

The United States and North Korea will hold further talks next week to prepare for a second summit between President Donald Trump and Kim Jong Un later this month, Seoul said Sunday (Feb 10).

“North Korea and the US have agreed to continue negotiations in a third country in Asia during the week of Feb 17,” South Korean presidential spokesman Kim Eui-kyeom told reporters.

Mr Trump and Mr Kim are due to meet in Hanoi, Vietnam, on Feb 27 and 28, following their landmark first summit in Singapore last June. The US-North Korea talks is expected to provide an important turning point for economic and security on the Korean peninsula. As the dialogue of inter-Korea continued since 2018, the issue of peace and unification is attracting international attention.

So, peace-loving 1,000 Korean youths gathered for the unification of the two Koreas. The event is held under the theme of “Youth pictures the peaceful future for the Korean peninsula”. In search of the role of civil society to create a unified Korea with peaceful means, “North And South, Let’s Be “Us” Again” was held with 1,000 participants at the Grand Hilton Hotel in Seoul, South Korea on February 9th.

At a congratulatory speech, Prof. Chang Ho-Kwon, invited professor at Hanshin University, said, “By showing public support for unification of Korea through collaborative efforts of civil society and subsequent government capabilities, the gate of unification will be closer. There is no chance for a nation without history and culture. We take the lead in unification issues to leave a legacy for future generations, which can be attained by participation in IPYG peace projects.”

The host organization, International Peace Youth Group (IPYG), is a member organization of HWPL, an international peace NGO under the UN ECOSOC. IPYG initiated its peace activities with the aim of realizing world peace by the voice of youth themselves, the victims of the war, and has been carrying out various peace campaign around the world in cooperation with 851 youth organizations in 111 countries.

Regarding this youth campaign, IPYG explains that the youth of the Korean peninsula will voice to solve the problem of division and unification because the war threats on the Korean peninsula, which has been continuing since the division, can no longer be overlooked.

In particular, the young man is the most persuasive messenger of peace. Because the people who go to war are politicians? Who is it? That’s because they’re themselves. Who in the world will pay for that life? Do you think money can pay for it? Nope. Is the War far from us? You’ll understand by looking at the posting below.

How can IPYG exert global influence?

IWPG held memorial to ban coercive conversion

The International Women’s Peace Group (IWPG) held several memorial services across the world in honour of the late Ji-In Gu – a young South Korean woman who passed away while being forced conversion. The memorial service took place 49 days after Gu’s death (December 2017) which is a Korean tradition and was held in Cape Town, Johannesburg, Port Elizabeth, Harare, Zimbabwe, as well as in Windhoek, Namibia. On January 28, 120,000 South Koreans also protested in major cities against coercive conversion program by the Christian Council of Korea. (More info) Not only in South Africa, the memorial service has been held in the LA, United Kingdom, and other parts of the world for a year.

A STEP TOWARDS PEACE IWPG held memorial to ban coercive conversion RememberGu IWPG HWPL Coercive Conversion Christian Council of Korea CCK

Especially during November and December this year, New York Times and other leading press reported with the headlines “Ban Coercive Conversion,” and shared the events of the late Ji-in Gu.

Reference: https://www.iol.co.za/capetimes/news/memorial-held-for-woman-forced-to-convert-13635947

Why is the memorial continuing?

As we celebrate the first anniversary of memorial, why is it reported by the leading foreign press? Why is the memorial continuing? That’s because nothing has changed in a year and the government hasn’t responded. Why?

First, the Coercive Conversion Program is still underway.

Sometimes religious suppression occurs in war and emerging countries, but no one would think that Murder by coercive conversion occurred in the South Korea, K-pop’s home country. So far, the number of victims is over 1,000. 52 percent of them claimed they were imprisoned. (The AVCCP statistics) In addition, 42 percent of the victims were taken to coercive religious conversion program by kidnapping. After this anti-humanitarian act, one conversion pastor of the CCK even received up to $894,425 USD. How can this illegal thing still happen?

A STEP TOWARDS PEACE IWPG held memorial to ban coercive conversion RememberGu IWPG HWPL Coercive Conversion Christian Council of Korea CCK

Second, Conversion pastors cowardly evade the law by using the excuse of ‘counseling’.

They claim that these consultations on “cult issues” are carried out voluntarily at the request of the family members of the victims and with the consent of the victims. However, victims report that the “conversion education agreements” are written by force while they are under confinement. So Human rights activists and IWPG members around the world have continued to petition for the Korean government to enact a special law against coercive conversion program.

A STEP TOWARDS PEACE IWPG held memorial to ban coercive conversion RememberGu IWPG HWPL Coercive Conversion Christian Council of Korea CCK

In a similar case, 1,000 Pakistani girls are kidnapped and forced to change religion every year. Muslims only just said “It was to encourage cults to accept the Islam.”Many human rights activists spoke out, and in the end the government made a anti-conversion law.

In November 2016, the Sindh province passed a law criminalizing forced conversions to, according to the law, ‘provide protection for those who are victims of this abhorrent practice.’ Under the law, those convicted of forcibly converting others receive a punishment from five years’ imprisonment to a life sentence.

Reference: https://indianexpress.com/article/world/world-news/pakistan-province-criminalises-forced-conversions-forbids-minors-from-changing-religion-4393556/

Why hasn’t anything changed in a year?

Because the Christian Council of Korea (CCK) is trying to hide the truth, not only by neglecting the law and looking the other way, but by supporting its affiliated pastors’ illegal activities. Politics and religion have the cozy relations, which violates Article 20-2 of the Constitution of the Republic of Korea, “Religion and politics are separated.” Who will console the pain that 1,000 victims of coercive conversion in Korea have experienced? Who can compensate for Ji-in’s death?

Furthermore, HWPL has already vehemently protested against the CCK, which has abandoned its function as a religious organization, and its affiliated pastors for conducting anti-nation, anti-society, and anti-peace acts that violate human rights. The CCK must to be disbanded for throwing the Korean people, as well as the international community, into chaos, and the pastors who took part in coercive conversion must receive the proper punishment for their actions.

A STEP TOWARDS PEACE IWPG held memorial to ban coercive conversion RememberGu IWPG HWPL Coercive Conversion Christian Council of Korea CCK

Reverend Thamsanqa Mvambo, President of the NICSA, said, “This is a terrible outrage that such people who claim to be believers in Jesus Christ would act in this way using the weapons of the devil against fellow Christians. The CCK and Conversion Pastors should repent immediately.”

He added,“I ask the CCK and pastors who practice and profit from the conversion programmes to immediately and permanently cease such activities. We also call on the lawmakers in the Republic of Korea to make a law prohibiting the coercive conversion programmes and holding pastors who profit from this unaccountable action.”

All 3.7 billion women in the world need to come together and unite with IWPG to support and advocate the Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War (DPCW) because the issues of refugees from war, terrorism, and internal conflicts have not been resolved. In this conference, there was a unanimous voice for the need to spread the activities of women for peace, as well as to spread the culture of peace. One former president said “A comprehensive vision of what the planet is, is a fundamental player when it comes to finding solutions and contributing to the balance being restored and for peace to prevail. The time has come when, not only is it necessary for everyone to find solutions, but also for their leadership to be taken into account so that we can build a better, more equitable and more just society.”

This was an occasion to establish the first steps towards bearing fruit for peace education, which is one of the main projects of IWPG.

Ms. Hyun Sook Yoon, IWPG Chairwoman, talked about the role of women in realizing peace in the Korean Peninsula and the world. “Motherhood of women is a strong force and answer to peace that will protect youth from the frontlines of war and lead humanity into a world of peace. The ‘10 Million Signature Campaign for Urging for a Peace Agreement for the Cessation of War on the Korean Peninsula‘, based upon the Declaration of Unification declared by Chairman Man Hee Lee of HWPL 8 years ago, was held. The desire of the world for the cessation of war on the Korean peninsula has been encapsulated in the Declaration of Unification.”

She then drove her point home by saying, “The DPCW’s 10 articles and 38 clauses, proposed by HWPL, is a groundbreaking and substantial measure to fundamentally address the causes of war, terrorism and conflict. Please join and lend your strength so that this law for peace can be passed in the UN. I first have to know this declaration of peace. I must inform my neighbors and let the nations and the presidents know and participate,” encouraging the audience that they have to be fully knowledgeable about the DPCW to be able to make their neighbors, leaders, and presidents understand and give their support.

Lastly, Chairman Man hee Lee of HWPL gave a special request to those in attendance stating, “The strength of one person, is only that one person’s strength.

I believe in the women’s group and the youth group.” After finishing, he shouted “WE ARE ONE”, urging all participants to become one.

From Kim Jae-yeon, my friend

‘The past does not need to be the future. A new world can begin today. It is the last chance for the peace of humanity.’ These sentences come from promotional video of ‘2018 HWPL World Peace Summit: 4th Anniversary of the WARP Summit‘. This video shows very well what kind of mindset when they are dealing with world peace. They think that achieving peace is ‘Out Duty that we have to do’ of our time at any cost. Can you feel their determination? Thousands of leaders and citizens from around the globe will gather for 3 days in Republic of Korea with the great determination of creating a peaceful world together.

The IPYG is one of the two wings of HWPL and they are working with the Youth for world peace. With 851 organizations from 111 countries around the world, peace is being realized. (as of October 2017) How much faster do they run? They participated in more than 200 activities and events in 44 countries for peace. How long? ‘Just in this year!’ They show a great power. The reasons for that are eager for peace and youth. In particular, IPYG hosted the Peace Walk, which has been an annual event since 2013. They created a movement to promote the true culture of peace. It is based on Article 10 ‘Spreading a Culture of Peace‘ of the DPCW.

“For World Peace to become a reality,
this is the duty of all youth, everywhere.”

It was founded in accordance with the spirit of the HWPL. Do you know why HWPL can achieve PEACE? The Definite Answer to Peace is the DPCW and IPYG & IWPG. Then, what is the Role of the Youth? Owners of the future! They protect their future and leave sustainable peace as a legacy for future generations. I think it is very important to nurture the youth becoming peace leaders with a sense of ownership in regard to the future.

We’re working to bring the DPCW to the United Nations. And it needs the support of presidents in each country to be passed. So you can ask “What can I do?.” I’m going to give you a strong statement. Each country is made up of citizens and the president must listen to them. I really want to ask you. If you acknowledge that this is indeed the answer to peace, please be sure to support and urge your President to pass the DPCW to the United Nations. Then, this DPCW could be established as a real international law, which is the answer to peace. Therefore, your country and you will be remembered around the world as the leading country to support the law of peace for the first time.

Then, what is the role of the youth in achieving peace under these situations?

“Târgu-Mureş, Cultural Town of Peace”

“One of the brands of Târgu-Mureş is that of a multicultural city. Târgu-Mureş Town Hall opens the way to dialogue on the realization of an ample cultural program called “Târgu-Mureş, Cultural Town of Peace”.

The representative of Tîrgu-Mureş said “It is among the organizations with the strongest cultural, social and educational projects that militate for peace, interculturality. Târgu-Mureş is the only city in Romania to which a memorandum was proposed and our city will be considered by South Korea as a reference point for harmonious interethnic relations.”

MOU also stipulates that we are changing students, young professionals between us. As Korea is regarded as a “tiger” of the development of the Eastern economy, we also could import from there many ideas and many other positive things.”

Local councilor Theodora Benedek (PNL) said ‘Memorandum would be beneficial for the international opening of Târgu-Mureş, and implicitly for the attraction of foreign investors.’
