Australia is Full of Waves of Peace

Australia is the world’s 6th largest country by area. Due to its large size and isolation from the rest of the world, Australia is sometimes known as the ‘island continent’. The largest cities in Australia are Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide. A desert area known as the ‘outback’ covers much of the land. (Ref)

And the Great Barrier Reef is the largest eco-system in the world. The wind of peace is blowing in Australia, where the natural scenery and big cities are excellent.

8th of September, 2019, Sydney held its Peace Conference “Peace Heroes of History.” The Peace Conference had three sub-sections, and began by celebrating and paying tribute to the work of revolutionary peace heroes the world has seen in the past, such as Mahatma Gandhi, Nelson Mandela and Imam Hussein.

The next segment showcased the incessant work of peace icons, global spiritual leaders and peace activists of today, such as the 14th Dalai Lama, Thich Nhat Hanh and Man Hee Lee, Chairman, HWPL. The final section focused on the future and explored the next steps for peace. They discussed how to establish the Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War (DPCW), and what role each layer can play for peace.

Based on the 10th Article of the DPCW, Spreading a Culture of Peace, members of the community and several peace organizations came together to dance on the theme “Make Your Mark”, to encourage members of the society to begin taking definitive steps for peace.

I think that the present peace has been achieved because there is someone who is trying for peace. We are perhaps standing on the shoulders of many people. First of all, I would like to thank HWPL Australia for trying to make peace, and this is not just happening in Australia.

With a worldwide phenomenon, no one can stop the enormous flow of peace. We can do it! You can do it! We are one!

There must be a lot of people working on this event. HWPL is famous for doing an orderly event. They gather on a large scale, and it’s clean with little leftover garbage.

It started six years ago in Seoul with 30,000 young people, and has been spreading around the world, and I can’t imagine how much bigger it would have been this year. It is said to be held in more than 70 cities around the world, and I wonder how many young people and citizens there will be.

On the 918 WARP Summit, Ms. Hyun Sook Yoon, IWPG Chairwoman, said “In the world of the 21st century, people across the continent are able to meet people on the other side of the globe in just a few hours. In addition, with the development of information and communication, a large amount of information can be delivered in real time through the internet. However, in this world of convenience, we are constantly exposed to heartaches such as wars, terrorism, abuse of human rights, and news of sad deaths of beloved children throughout the world.

The noble maternal instincts that women have can protect children from the front lines of war. It is the most powerful force and answer to peace that can lead mankind into a world of peace. Because half of the world’s population are women with the potential of peace, if we become one, mankind can turn into a peaceful world without war.”

IWPG is working to make sure that all children and women have the right values through peace education. I believe that there is no change as fast as education. IWPG is taking the answer to peace suggested by HWPL, the “Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War (DPCW)”, and is actively spreading a culture of peace in diverse ways such as implementing peace education and training peace educators.

“We have cooperation agreements with schools around the world and are working to establishing peace schools and education. We have launched the “10 Million Signature Campaign for Urging for a Peace Agreement for the Cessation of War on the Korean Peninsula” for peace on the Korean peninsula and currently it is being achieved as written on the “Declaration of Unification”.

In order to end the global war and make a world of peace, ourselves first have to know this declaration of peace. Let us all become the messengers of peace and realize world peace together.”

The Chairman Man Hee Lee of HWPL gave a special request to those in attendance stating, “The strength of one person, is only that one person’s strength. But if we come together for this work of peace, then it will become a great power. Everyone woman living in the global village should become one through the common objective and shout together with a common voice. You should write letters to former and current presidents. We need to write not only to our president but to those all over the world.”

He then continued, “Also you should tell not only the people of your own countries but the people from other countries as well about the method of becoming one together with the women of the IWPG. Two is more powerful than one, but if there are many it will never be broken. Since the goal is peace, nothing is more precious and important than the work of making the world of peace that can be left as a legacy for future generations. I believe in the women’s group and the youth group.”

IWPG World Peace Conference in Australia

Harmony, Communication, and Peace with the 3.7 Billion Women in the World

On the 18th of Feb, 2019, IWPG World Peace Conference in Australia was held in order to inspire a sense of duty as a women leader to achieve world peace, and to recognize its role as a messenger of peace. IWPG shared the initiatives and activities of IWPG over the past year and presented the main directions for 2019.

People who contributed to work of peace were motivated for peace by being presented the Plaques of Appreciation Ceremony. First ladies were inspired their mission to realize peace through the inauguration ceremony of the “IWPG Peace Network of First Ladies”.

IWPG Chairwoman strongly emphasized “IWPG consists of more than 100 branches and 240 affiliated organizations. The Peace Mission with HWPL and IPYG is currently on the 30th World Peace Tour and everyone wanted.

Even now, there are children and young people who are dying of war. Also in the midst of the war, women’s human rights are being violated. Should we just sit back and let it go? Young people and women all over the world should be brave enough to talk about inconvenient truths, and institutional support is also needed to prevent war. If war is a problem, there should be an answer to it. IWPG found the answer in DPCW.

When one changes one’s mind, culture changes and civilization changes. Let us awaken all to the culture of peace. We are all messengers of peace.”

IPYG and IWPG are the two wings of HWPL. HWPL is the international peace organization, a group of people who love the global community. We have come together in the noble cause of peace. Political leaders signed the agreement to propose the enactment of international law for the cessation of wars and word peace. After that, DPCW was enacted and it is to be the icon of solution of peace to prevent conflicts and disputes. And religious leaders signed the world alliance of religions agreement. For children, leaders of future, HWPL Peace Education is implemented to know the values of peace. We are leading the future to achieve the common goal of peace.

Mr.Man Hee Lee, the Chairman of HWPL, emphasized “Why is it necessary to draw up a new law? If the existing laws were already complete, it would be unnecessary to draft a new one. But since it is impossible to put an end to wars of this world with the existing laws, I ask you to develop an international legal instrument that can stand as law forever.”

Introduction of IPYG

Thus, a new international law has been created that has supplemented the weaknesses of current international law. In 2017, the central american parliament passed a resolution in support of the DPCW. UN permanent representatives of 145 countires recognize the need for the DPCW. In Africa, HWPL and the Pan-African Parliament (PAP) signed MOU. Seychelles, Eswatini, and Comoros expressed support for the DPCW at the NATIONAL LEVEL.

Also, HWPL and the International Centre for Black Sea-Baltic Studies and Consensus Practices (Centre BBS) signed MOU. HWPL and the Institute for Advancced Studies in Levant Culture and Civilization (ISACCL) signed MOU.

More citizens as well as youth and women’s organizations are showing support for the DPCW to help national leaders implement this declaration and advocate its adoption in the UN. Youth members read the “Peace Letter” to urge national leaders to realize peace through the DPCW and delivered it directly to around 200 leaders from each country that were in attendance.

Why Youth? Because we can stop those innocent people, especially youth from losing their lives in the futility of war. Who can compensate for one’s life? We don’t want to die. We want to love. We want to sing and dance. Our future is not expendable. If we continue to be victims of war, the pain will not be able to be healed in any way.

So far, 170,000 peace letters collected

Obviously, the role of world leaders is a great part to the implementation of the DPCW. However, it is the youth’s role to urge leaders. Youth have the power to move their leaders’ minds. Chairman Lee of HWPL is running with the answer to peace from above. If the answer to world peace is DPCW, 10 Articles and 38 Clauses, the answer to the peace movement of youth is the peace letter. I hope that the youth in this place will also urge their leaders to become peace messengers so that the DPCW can be implemented and developed into a legally binding document.

Youth Make Tomorrow : Unity & Harmony

On the 18th of Feb, 2019, the “2019 Youth Peace Conference” recalled the role and influence of young people in the world peace and the power of Unity and Harmony, highlighting that each youth should become messenger of peace.

Writing and delivering the Peace Letter activities have reached even to the heads of each state. Youth participants are anticipating it to further advance advocacy activities of young people.

A single individual is weak. But if all the youth of the world unite as one, no one would be able to break them apart. I saw joy and our future in their faces.

The Chairman Man Hee Lee strongly emphasized “We want peace, no matter who we are. While traveling around the globe for a long time, meeting many people, everyone wanted peace. So peace must be achieved.

It will be recorded in the eternal history of future generations. Let’s join in this work of peace and become the messengers of peace. Young people will no longer be victims of war, but protect themselves, and women will also protect children. When we all have one heart, peace will be achieved. Let’s all be the messengers of peace. I wanted to make this request to you, all Youth.

Write a letter to the president of your country and the president of another country and send him a message to make the world a peaceful place together. All men are supposed to be admitted because they have the same mind. If everyone admits it, peace will come to this land. During the 29th world peace tour, all the lawmakers in Africa supported it. The same was true of Europe. Every place wants peace. In times like this, let’s make peace by writing handwritten letters. Heaven will also help all the people of this land.

What will you leave as an inheritance in future generations? Property? Power? Let’s all leave peace as a legacy. We are one. WE ARE ONE!”

HWPL 30th World Peace Tour: Religious Leaders Peace Conference, Sydney 2019 #3

Why did religious leaders gather?

A STEP TOWARDS PEACE HWPL 30th World Peace Tour: Religious Leaders Peace Conference, Sydney 2019 #3 WARP Offices Remember_Gu ReligiousLeaders_PeaceConference No_Religious_Discrimination Manheelee HWPL 30th World Peace Tour HWPL coercive conversion program Coercive Conversion chairman Lee BecomingOne Australia 30th_Peacetour

A religion has its role that should spread love and peace. But Destorying individuals and families with powerful authorities is our reality. Furthermore, it induces conflict between religions and countries. Religious people are doing violence and oppression in the name of God and making the global future darker. If we want true peace now, we must stop.

Man Hee Lee, Chairman of HWPL, emphasized “There’s nothing more shameful than knowing that the majority of wars are caused by religion. And not only that, but should fighting and taking people away by force and beating them be happening? This is not a religion. In order to achieve peace, even our religion should become one.” The Chairman Man Hee Lee strongly proclaimed religions must become one in order to achieve peace for humanity.

Religious leaders are not people with little influence. Every word of them is powerful. Religion and ideology are the key reasons for world wars. Once religious leaders have a good heart, the world is at peace. But if religious leaders take the wrong mind, who can take responsibility for the deaths of those countless people?

What is the Answer to Peace?

First, Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War (DPCW)

Do you think peace can be achieved? When we are making a living, spending my personal time, there are people who risked their lives for peace. They are the messengers of peace of HWPL. Especially, despite being over 80 years old, the chairman Man Hee Lee is ahead of all others in work of peace. This is why he is called “the Father of Peace” and why he is supported by 1.6 billion Youth and 3.7 billion Women.

To prohibit the discrimination between nations and religions, HWPL proposed great peace plan called the DPCW. It is a powerful bill that prevents war caused by religion. The Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War (DPCW) has articles to be able to end the war. Article 8 – “Freedom of religion”, Article 9 – “Religion, ethnic identity and peace” and Article 10 – “Spreading a culture of peace” are examples. For this reason, Religious groups are strongly urging for the DPCW legislation.

A STEP TOWARDS PEACE HWPL 30th World Peace Tour: Religious Leaders Peace Conference, Sydney 2019 #3 WARP Offices Remember_Gu ReligiousLeaders_PeaceConference No_Religious_Discrimination Manheelee HWPL 30th World Peace Tour HWPL coercive conversion program Coercive Conversion chairman Lee BecomingOne Australia 30th_Peacetour

Second, HWPL WARP Office

At HWPL’s WARP Office, approximately 20 religions and 2,410 people attended. They find the right path for religion through Scripture Comparision and Confirmation.

The chairman Man Hee Lee emphasized “There will only be fighting if there are two or three, or hundreds of religions. But if the scriptures become one then so do the religions. In order for us to be born anew and to become one, we need to know some things that are wrong in our own religion, and to grasp reality.” HWPL is to eradicate social problems caused by religion. Establish international cooperation and solidarity.

He continued “Anyone who received the order of God will have a purpose. We have been running around the world with the answer given from above. At this point, we must work to become one in God as promised. When we come with an answer that can achieve peace, and if everyone is working together by becoming one, it will be done.”

What happened all over the world?

There are numerous religious problems in the world. As you can attest, you can see from the story of Nadia Murad, the winner of the 2018 Nobel Peace Prize. She is a victim of Coercive Conversion to ISIS. Also in South Korea, two people were killed by coercive conversion. Religious leaders who support world peace strongly criticized this incident. In particular, peace activists around the world protested for the 27-year-old Gu Ji-in who suffocated of coercive conversion in January 2018. Foreign media such as The New York Times and the Washington Times also helped the victims like Ms.Gu.

One religious leader said “Unfortunately at times as an advocator of one religion, we start enforcing our beliefs on others. These actions are a violation of basic human rights and must be stopped!”

Another religious leader emphasized “Recently, very recently, one young lady was killed by a hard attack while she was taught by a preacher who converted her religion by compulsion. It is too bad that this accident happened among Christians who spread the spirit, just as the spirit of love. First, religions should respect and love one another, then this whole humanity will become one.”

Discussing the North Korean Nuclear Issue with Australia

Conversation between Australia & Korea

It also stressed the importance of cooperation from major regional partners, including Australia, in order to achieve substantial results in the upcoming negotiations.

In response, Deputy Maude said, “We expect the Panmunjeom Declaration and the North-Korea USA Summit to be implemented as soon as possible, while supporting the Korean government’s efforts to develop a complete denuclearization and a permanent peace regime.”

North Korean Nuclear Issue can not be the subject of bargaining

The Australian Foreign Minister Julie Bishop said, “Even now North Korea should show the truth and reality of its denuclearization commitments.” and stressed that “Until North Korea takes verifiable, complete and irreversible denuclearization steps, economic and diplomatic pressures from the United States, Australia and the international community will continue to be maximized.”

The Australian Secretary of Defense Christopher Pyne pointed, “Denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula is a top priority for both the United States and Australia, and the denuclearization defined by North Korea is not a measure entirely corresponding to our national interests. This is possible only when the North has sincerity.”

This day, President Donald Trump earlier sent an official letter to North Korean leader Kim Jong Un to cancel the summit. President Trump said he knew the anger and public hostility of North Korea’s recent remarks. Especially, he said “You’re talking about your nuclear capability” but “I pray to God that that (our nuclear capability) will never be used because we are so strong and powerful” This was a warning remark.

After North-Korea USA Summit, Something changed

Some say that North Korea is the winner, the U.S. is the loser&winner, and South Korea is the loser. However it is clear that the Moon Jae-in is the midwife of the North-Korea USA Summit in many ways. Mr. Moon persuaded Chairman Kim to engage himself in dialogue with the U.S. President Moon persuaded Chairman Kim to engage himself in dialogue with the U.S. By turning all the credit to President Trump, Mr. Moon made him an active participant in the North-Korea USA Summit. Bill Clinton, former president of the United States assessed it “Moon Jae-in the president is a true hero”. In the process, President Moon left a famous saying in Korean diplomatic history that “the Nobel Peace Prize is for Trump and we only need to bring peace.”

Australian experts of international politics

Rory Medcalf, the president of the Australian National University said, “we think we need to make every effort to attract North Korea to a legal-based order.” He added, “If someone has to play an additional role in communicating with North Korea (with the U.S. etc.), Australia may be a potential country to do so.”

Peter Jennings, the executive director of the Australian Strategic Policy Institute (ASPI), said in interview “we believe that the possibility of CVID (a complete, verifiable and irreversible denuclearization) of North Korea is low” and claimed “the North Korea does not conduct any missile or nuclear tests, but it still develops nuclear capability.”

At the same time, he added, “we need to build a reliable management mechanism in the DMZ (Demilitarized Zone) by increasing communication and contact with North Korea.”

Reunification is God’s will.

The problem is a credible follow-up measure. Action should be taken to build trust. This agreement could bear fruit if North Korea and the United States continue to engage in direct talks, build trust one by one, and establish liaison offices in Pyongyang and Washington in the near future.

When this happens, we believe that it will be a great blessing for all mankind beyond the Korean Peninsula. Former East Germany Prime Minister Lothar de Maizière, who achieved reunification, said that “Reunification was the will of heaven. It happens like a miracle when human endeavor is met with internal and external conditions.” The unification of the Korean Peninsula will be natural, if people’s aspirations and the meaning of heaven are gathering, just like East and West Germany. If so, it is the duty of leaders of religion and politics to move the minds of the world toward reunification.

Maybe you don’t know, now I’m studying abroad in Australia. I’m from Korea. Unlike Korea, here seems to be more relaxing. ‘Did I come this far and learn all the things to learn?’ ‘Why am I here?’ On these thoughts, I heard the news from HWPL. Today is the 2nd Annual Commemoration of the DPCW. I know a lot of peace groups, but I don’t believe any one. Because they are only saying about peace, not moving. But I can’t help putting my trust in HWPL. We can know them by their walking.

The Central American Parliament(Diputados del Parlamento Centroamericano, PARLACEN)

The Central American Parliament(Diputados del Parlamento Centroamericano, PARLACEN), with 6 member-states, has now completed the official process of approval for the Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War(DPCW) after a year of discussion in the Commission of Peace, Public Security and Human Rights. It is an amazing achievement!!! I supported their walk. I want to make world where peace is everywhere.

The resolution includes the following,

It is intended that the Central American Parliament raise the flag of peace among the entire international community, taking this message to all governments, international organizations, civil society, political parties and others.

Based on what was considered above and the legal basis invoked, the Commission of Peace, Public Security and Human Rights issues favorable report with amendments to the initiative AP / 1278-278 / 2016 the “DECLARATION OF PEACE AND CESSATION OF WAR“.

In the DPCW promoted by HWPL on March 14, 2016, the respect of human rights and international law is fundamentally promoted, especially the role of the states in relation to the promotion of Peace, Justice and Freedom.”
