28th WORLD PEACE TOUR of HWPL is held at New York, Washington DC, LA. This peace movement will be a strong wind all over the world. It is said that there has been a great deal of work such as the signing of MOU. It’s not fun to know beforehand. I recommend you to experience it, feel it, and realize it. Let’s go for Advancing Peace!
“When the light of heaven shines in the hearts of people, it becomes the light that never fades away.” – HWPL
Advancing Peace in the Americas
One participant said “Recent meetings between the two Koreas have lowered the possibility of using deadly weapons of mass destruction on humanity. With investments in education, health and youth employment, education is the only way forward (human beings). The idea of a world without war is not a dream. We can achieve it.”
Another said, “Article 2 of the DPCW deals with the establishment of a reduction in war potential and the transformation of weapons for human benefit. It costs 1.8 billion dollars a year to make weapons. How many schools and homes can we build with DPCW? Let’s implement DPCW to fight poverty and eliminate the pain of conflict in Syria and the Korean Peninsula.”
Sign to achieve peace
Chairman Lee said “All schools and teachers should teach students about peace. All heads of organizations should also tell their members to make peace. At this point, we must achieve peace in the global community. It’s for all of us. We believe that presidents will sign up to support DPCW.”
Now, the wind of peace is blowing all over the world
28th WORLD PEACE TOUR of HWPL is blowing the wind of peace all over the world. The bright light is settled down in New York. Its title is ‘Conflicts There Affect Us Here’ and subtitle is that ‘Revitalizing the ‘City of Dreams’ Through the Strength of Diversity’. New York City Leaders and Civil Society are gathering for reunification of Korea and peaceful settlement in Yemen. It was hosted by HWPL, IPYG, IWPG, and the Yemeni American Association(YAA) at Columbia University. Governmental and UN officials, international organizations and civil groups are on the panel.
Reunification of Korea
The Korean peninsula is divided for 65 years for the Korean War. As the international community is paying keen attention to the establishment of peace on the Korean Peninsula like the 2018 inter-Korean summit and the Korea-U.S. summit, HWPL has called for the realization of peace on the Korean Peninsula based on the civil society’s network, including youth and women throughout the world. HWPL hoped that this event can be a platform for dialogue and mutual understanding between different cultural groups.
Why Yemen?
28 years have passed since Yemen was unified. So what’s the problem? However, there are still constant threats to the peace that has been achieved. So the civil society from Korea and Yemen will come together in New York City. The Yemeni American Association is a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving over 50,000 Yemeni American in the U.S. The conclusion that they came up with was ‘cooperation of all sectors‘ for peace. They emphasized that a united civil society is the key ingredient of a better, more accepting world.
Peace Letters
During the event, the attendees have the opportunity to fill out letters for the longing of peace and end of war to each respective heads of state. It is a collaboration with IPYG. Young people, from 84 cities in 50 countries, write peace letters to presidents of each country. How long? Until the president writes signature at DPCW! Most predominantly, letters will be collected and sent to the head of state of South Korea, Yemen, Mali and Senegal. I don’t think we have much time left. Because peace is likely to be achieved too soon. HWPL & YAA show the world that peace is not limited to national boundaries but true peace lies within the heart of each individual, each community.
The City of New York, often called New York City (NYC), is the most populous city in the United States. New York City has been described as the cultural, financial, and media capital of the world. Bridges, Skyscrapers, Parks, Wall Street and Silicon Alley is so famous. But as the light is strong, so is the shadow. Poverty, Crime and Drug addiction, and Racial conflict. About half the drug addicts in the United States live in New York City.
Now, the wind of peace is blowing at New York

Ukraine Peace Forum
Even though we have different nationalities and skin colors and use different languages, we are one family of peace who have the same hearts for love of peace and leaving a legacy of peace to our future generations. What a surprising is that all people in Ukraine also hope for true peace to be realized. Peace-building duty is not only for 300 attending religious leaders, legal experts and heads of civil societies in Ukraine. But also for peace messengers like you.
‘Pan-European Peace Forum’ was held in Frankfurt. For peaceful reunification of the Korean Peninsula! Recalling the small gatherings in Leipzig that sparked peaceful demonstrations for Germany’s reunification, Dr. Manfred F. Welker(Frankfurt city council member) said what will bring two Koreas together is “not just government cooperation but – as we have seen from Nikolaikirche – it will be by the collaboration and efforts of the people.” President of International Progress Organization, Professor Dr Hans Köchler from Austria, said “Reunified Korea will be the best security guarantee to both the North and the South.”
HWPL’s Solutions : The Answer of Peace

28th WORLD PEACE TOUR, Conflicts There Affect Us Here
– Revitalizing the ‘City of Dreams‘ Through the Strength of Diversity
Frankly speaking, I don‘t know the political or economic viewpoint. I can‘t know why he acted like that. I don‘t know whether what he has shown us is real or imagined. Who knows? Nobody knows. Who knows what will happen in the future? Who knew Rome would collapse? But I know something. On second thought, 2018 inter-Korean summit really doesn’t make sense. But why is it possible? A great flow is moving. The wind of peace is blowing all over the world!

In wikipedia, a peace walk or peace march, sometimes referred to as a peace pilgrimage, is a form of nonviolent action where a person or groups of people march a set distance to raise awareness of particular issues important to the walkers. Why do we walk? We can do case studies.

Countlessyoung people
I think ‘Gun violence‘ is very dangerous. It is not something that only someone who get hurt could feel. So, I know that there are countless young people all over the world doing campaigns like this. Example are ‘HWPL Peace walk‘ and ‘March for Our Lives‘. #MARCHFOROURLIVES
#March for Our Lives

One day, Lawyers, education experts, religious leaders, youth and women’s groups, and journalists in Indonesia gathered. For what? Peace building. There were so many attempts to achieve peace. As a matter of fact, It is already a huge one. By this alone, Indonesia is a great country. However, attempts are frustrated. Still, men have fought and killed each other. Now we really need the answer of peace.

On this, Head of the HAPI, Mrs. Dr. Hj. Elza Syarief said, “The DPCW contains provisions that essentially stop the war-like activities. So the enactment of the DPCW is a definite answer to the end of the war and achievement of peace.”
Legislate Peace Campaign in Indonesia

War begets more war. The Korean War began on June 25, 1950. Many people went through a lot of hardships. They had frequent brushes with death. The iron of war had entered into their souls. The Korean War ended in 1953 with a cease-fire. The Korean War left Korea devastated. Also it divided our country into two halves. The war has branded unforgettable scars on our minds.
2018 inter-Korean summit Highlights
“With a single step Kim Jong Un broke decades of hostility and distrust. He is the first North Korean leader to cross the dividing line between the two Koreas since fighting ended in the Korean War in 1953. Kim then invited South Korean leader Moon Jae-in to step into the northern side of the DMZ.” – CNN

How long should we wait? We can’t stand it anymore. It is so hard and painful. My family and friends are dying. Who can compensate you for their death? To Whom? What can you do? Money never can pay it back. Nothing can repay this!
DPCW is the Ultimate Solution
Chairman Lee proclaimed “HWPL has made peace agreements with present and former presidents and heads of state, chiefs justices of Supreme courts, university presidents, religious leaders, and the heads of international organizations, and this news has been broadcasted allaround the world. The cessation of war and world peace will become a reality because everyone desires for peace rather than war” and finally “We have the answer to peace which is the DPCW.” I’m sure it will cure the world more beautifully.
DPCW is the solution!!! Let’s become the messengers of peace!
On Thursday, April 26, The local elected representatives of Târgu-Mureş approved a Memorandum of Understanding(MOU, with 20 votes for and 3 against) between Târgu-Mureş City Hall and Heavenly Culture, Korea’s World Peace, Restoration of Light (HWPL) South.
“Târgu-Mureş, Cultural Town of Peace”
“One of the brands of Târgu-Mureş is that of a multicultural city. Târgu-Mureş Town Hall opens the way to dialogue on the realization of an ample cultural program called “Târgu-Mureş, Cultural Town of Peace”.
The representative of Tîrgu-Mureş said “It is among the organizations with the strongest cultural, social and educational projects that militate for peace, interculturality. Târgu-Mureş is the only city in Romania to which a memorandum was proposed and our city will be considered by South Korea as a reference point for harmonious interethnic relations.”
I am against it
Local councilor Radu Balaş (POL) said ‘I can’t understand why the City Hall of Târgu-Mureş has to associate with an NGO. Why?’ It can be useless.
MOU needs for Târgu-Mureş
Makkai Grigore, Deputy Mayor of UDMR, said “Today, when the world struggles to be seen and see, today, when globalization has become a common thing, we come with such aberrations.”
“It is the largest NGO in the worldla(It can be a mistranstion) so that I do not know why we deny it. It is a pride for us, for the city of Târgu-Mureş, for the Târgu-Mureş Council. MOU also stipulates that we are changing students, young professionals between us. As Korea is regarded as a “tiger” of the development of the Eastern economy, we also could import from there many ideas and many other positive things.”
Local councilor Theodora Benedek (PNL) said ‘Memorandum would be beneficial for the international opening of Târgu-Mureş, and implicitly for the attraction of foreign investors.’
Results : for20vsagainst3
“I can only praise this initiative and become the first city, not from Romania, but maybe from the region of Southeastern Europe, which takes such a step.” – Makkai Grigore

Have you ever seen a soccer game? When is the most exciting moment? Nothing made more dramatic snapshots, however, than the come-from-behind victories. But there is something more exciting! The protagonist is the hero of Chelsea, English Premier League (EPL) striker Didier Drogba, who is considered as the best striker of the 20th century from the African continent. During his prime as a soccer player, how was his family? They are so happy because of their son, is it really true? Finally you can know why he is a Soccer messenger.
Cote d’Ivoire Brutal Civil War
In 2002, the people of Cote d’Ivoire religious conflicts between Catholics and those practicing Islam led to a brutal civil war. Can there be a war without death? It resulting in the deaths of thousands of people and a massive number of refugees that reached around 700,000 people. Just when he was playing the final match of the World Cup qualifier, the people in his hometown were dying.
At that time, Cote d’Ivoire was defeating Sudan 3:1. Drogba and his teammates knelt to the ground in front of the camera that was streaming live all over Africa.
“Today, we beg you, on our knees…
Please lay down your weapons, hold elections, all will be better.
We want to have fun, so stop firing your guns.” – Soccer messenger, Drogba
Who can change the world?
He appealed to both sides to stop the war for even just one week. In front of his sincere, pleading voice, the hearts of the people were moved, and both the government and the rebels put down their guns. The civil war that had been raging for four years finally came to an end and the beginnings of peace were witnessed. In 2007 the government and rebel group signed a major peace treaty. But what is clear is that any outstanding person can’t achieve peace alone. We can become a messenger of peace and make a change. Do you know? HWPL is a volunteer group that has been formed from such individuals who have a sincere heart for peace. HWPL emphasized we can do it. Then, we can be called peace messengers.
“Let us all become messengers of peace and leave peace as a legacy to future generations.” – hwpl
