How many wars are there in history?
Of the past 3,400 years, humans have been entirely at peace for 268 of them, or just 8 percent of recorded history. There are 12,703 battles since 2500 B.C. (created by a Dutch company LAB1100) Explore the map here. At least 108 million people were killed in wars in the twentieth century. Estimates for the total number killed in wars throughout all of human history range from 150 million to 1 billion. War causes universal misery. Wars made internally displaced people, refugees and casualties. “There was never a good War, or a bad Peace.” (Benjamin Franklin) “Who can compensate for the death of the youth? A Country? No one can do.” (Man hee Lee, Chairman of HWPL)
What Wars are Going on Now?
There are 5 ongoing wars in the world. Let me know if more wars happen.

Afghanistan (7 October 2001 – present)
Growing political tensions and infighting has created an increasingly volatile environment in Afghanistan. This conflict started on 7 October 2001. In the past 16 years, al-Qaeda and Taliban government was destructed. Osama bin Laden was dead. Despite the fact that Taliban leader Mullah Akhtar Mansour was killed by a drone strike in May 2016, the group has regularly launched relentless attacks around the country. Adding to the instability, the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) has continuously attempted to establish the foundation in Afghanistan.

Within the past year, the group has launched some of its most deadly terrorist attacks outside of the Middle East region, including in Bangladesh, Belgium, France, Germany, Turkey, Pakistan and the U.S. It’s hard to measure due to global terrorism, but the U.N. estimates ISIS is responsible for more than 18,000 civilian deaths in Iraq in the past two years alone.

When does the War end?
Approximately 210,000 Afghan, Iraqi, and Pakistani civilians have died violent deaths as a direct result of the wars. (As of March 2015) This is not just a number. I’m sitting in front of the computer, tapping on the keyboard, but it’s not just a number. It is a very vivid death in their lives, and they are my family, my father, my mother, my sister, and my brother. But there is no need to despair that the war will not end. Because there are people who have the answer to peace. It is recognized by numerous experts as a strong and practical peace movement. It is the HWPL! HWPL is a really hot peace group to worldwide foreign news these days. Let me introduce an anecdote.
The Chairman Man hee Lee of HWPL asked, “People who are gathered here, is there any want who want war?.”
No one answered. The Chairman Lee continued that “War sacrifices many lives and destroys many buildings. If there is anyone who wants war, please raise your hand.” With silence–, no one raised their hands. The Chairman Man hee Lee shouted strongly, “When there’s war, who is the one who is fighting in front of battle line that is the youth. We are born in the same world, same generation, but their lives cannot blossom, but their lives are lost in the battle!”
The Chairman Lee continued, “Now, we need to make a peaceful world to live. And when we inherit peaceful world to our future generation, nothing would be more valuable. That is why we need to urge all of our presidents. We need to urge them for the world to become peaceful sooner. I’m not saying something wrong. Am I? We have to make our world, our global village being paradise. This is our duty. And, this is what we have to do.” Everyone gave a standing ovation.

Peace is so natural, and it’s the best value human beings should have. How can we achieve peace? Peace begins by teaching students peace. Teaching peace from a young age in all textbook, not war heroes and stories, is a source of great change as fundamental solution. If the word war is removed from the dictionary by peace education, culture of peace will prevail in the global community and war will no longer occur. Peace education is one of HWPL’s
This education provides a fundamental understanding of the basic principles that human beings must observe for peace to be created. Through the discovery and
The African Leaders of Peace Summit 2018: Achieving peace in our lifetime was held in Cape Town. This is not a place for anyone. This groundbreaking summit brought dignitaries, civil society, youth, religious leaders and media from across Africa together. Who are they and why are they gathered? They are really nice people. If you are one of African people, you will be really impressed. They have been working hard towards fulfilling the goal of the conflict-free continent envisaged by the African Union’s
Events, that would have a huge impact on the world peace trend, were held in succession. On August 15, the “Ethiopia Peace Conference” was held with education experts and civil society. The “Addis Ababa Summit” was held with political representatives from Africa and the Middle East and the “Open Dialogue with Religious Leaders” was held on on August 16. One expert said, “Addis Ababa city administration has a deep conviction that the launching of

It was Cape Town at which the wind of peace is blowing. The Cape Town is called the affectionate ‘Mother City’. They have ‘Ubuntu‘ in their hearts.

The IPYG is one of the two wings of HWPL and they are working with the Youth for world peace. With 851 organizations from 111 countries around the world, peace is being realized, especially in Africa with 238 groups from 28 countries. You already know, Africa has had a lot of difficulties in history. But now, with such heroic presidents as Nelson Mandela and also abundant resources and the number of young people who make up more than 60 percent of the population, the Africa shows a lot of possibilities to the world. And based on that possibility, Africa is becoming so powerful that the world can’t ignore more and more. But there are still gaps in the way to develop like that. I want to ask you a question to explain it.
I’m sure you all know. This is 10 Articles and 38 Clauses of the DPCW that the chairman Man hee Lee created. Let me briefly explain why 10 Articles and 38 Clauses of DPCW is the law of peace and why it is the answer to peace. The DPCW consists of 10 articles.
So what do we do for peace? We’re working to bring the DPCW to the United Nations. And it needs the support of presidents in each country to be passed. So you can ask “What can I do?.” I’m going to give you a strong statement. Each country is made up of citizens and the president must listen to them. I really want to ask you. If you acknowledge that this is indeed the answer to peace, please be sure to support and urge your President to pass the DPCW to the United Nations. Then, this DPCW could be established as a real international law, which is the answer to peace. Therefore, this Africa will be remembered around the world as the leading continent to support the law of peace for the first time. Then, Africa with the sound foundation for peace, and South Africa, as well, will be the most advanced country in the world.
So now not only we’re ready to bring DPCW to the United Nations. But also HWPL came to Africa and achieved a lot. When the chairman Man hee Lee visited the Pan African Parliament (PAP), the representative of PAP signed the MOU with HWPL. And He also supported the DPCW on behalf of the pan-African Parliament (PAP). This means that every country in Africa will support the DPCW. Also, two countries send documents that they would support the DPCW on a national level. I don’t know how much you recognize it, but it’s a huge result!!! And what I’d like to focus on the most is that the Chairman Man hee Lee declared, in 2013, we created an international law and the presidents should sign here. And then, the war will be eliminated all over the world. That’s how it really works. So it is another evidence that not only DPCW but also the reality, where what the chairman lee said comes true, are the answer to peace.
I’m very excited about what messages the chairman Lee is giving about Africa. Because he traveled abroad with the answer to peace. He is going on 29th World Peace tour to achieve peace and end war. He is going on 29th World Peace tour to achieve peace and end war.
This is their story. “There have been many conflicts and wars in Africa, and peace is really rare. Mali is also in conflict and it is known that Sudan, South Sudan, DRC, Congo are as well. Africa is known as the dark continent. We’ve been trying to make peace through the African Union (
“The DPCW is something we’ve always discussed and talked a lot about in terms of human rights. There’s a lot of war and conflict going on in Cameroon, where the scars of the war are a lot. Last week, our
“What I want to say is that DPCW has something that I haven’t seen before : Religion. It is what the former president thinks is important. There’s been a lot of talk about human rights, but we didn’t think religion much. We didn’t think of a way. But the important thing is that most conflicts, especially in Africa, are caused by religion.”
What is the role of the leaders of

What is the Solution of sustaining peace? HWPL identifies the root cause of the conflict and provides a solution to peace. People stuck together to make a world without war. Mindanao, who had suffered 40 years of civil war, signed the peace agreement of HWPL and it ended years of conflict and brought peace to various places of Mindanao. The results were possible because everyone joined the peace movement in unison.
The world is debating, practicing, and witnessing peace.
Religion is returning to its original role in
What is the world like now? Jungle? Heartless modern society? Of course, it is. But I heard there are people who pray for the world. In fact, I have been having a hard time these days. In the news, murders, accidents, and crimes are never stopped, and What if I become a target of crime? Whenever I think of this, I pray. Today I saw this YouTube clip, when this fear was coming. What were they doing? They were
In 2007, the late Mrs. Kim was beaten with hammer by her husband. In 2017, the late Ms. Gu was choked by blocking her mouth and nose at 5:40 p.m. on December 30. After two major incidents, there is a group that is not taking any responsibility! It is the Christian Council of Korea (CCK) that aggravated coercive conversion program that violated human rights such as murder, violence, kidnapping and confinement. Coercive conversion is not a religious issue, but a serious historical crime that destroys the human spirit.

One High Priest said, “Recently, very recently, one young lady was killed by a hard attack while she was taught by a preacher who converted her religion by compulsion. My condolence please accept on this tragic loss of the young lady. It is too bad that this accident happened among Christians who spread the spirit, just as the spirit of love. First, religions should respect and love one another, then this whole humanity will become one.”
One priest said, “Thus, it is very important to protect freedom of religion for peaceful societies as there is no religion that promotes the conversion of religion using violence, and therefore, there is no justification for this kind of practice.”
One religious leader said, “Organizations such as the CCK deceive people into kidnapping their loved ones in an attempt to coercively convert them to Presbyterian doctrines. These acts are violations of basic human rights and must be stopped.”

During the event, the attendees have the opportunity to fill out letters for the longing of peace and end of war to each respective heads of state. It is a collaboration with IPYG. Young people, from
The international community is paying keen attention to the establishment of peace on the Korean Peninsula because of the 2018 inter-Korean summit and the US-North Korea summit. When the North Korea’s Kim Jong Un and South Korea’s Moon Jae-in met for the first time, the whole world was moved and shed tears. There is also a highlight video on CNN.
Some say that North Korea is the winner, the U.S. is the loser&winner, and South Korea is the loser. However it is clear that the Moon Jae-in is the midwife of the US-North Korea Summit in many ways. Mr. Moon persuaded Chairman Kim to engage himself in dialogue with the U.S. President Moon persuaded Chairman Kim to engage himself in dialogue with the U.S. By turning all the credit to President Trump, Mr. Moon made him an active participant in the North-Korea USA Summit.
